The Golden Orange in Burnley

Picked up food for my dad on the way to visit him in hospital. He gave his food a thumbs up 👍. Delicious, nice and hot too.

I ordered S&P ribs and they were nothing like the photos, they were not even ribs just the small knuckle ends, no ‘ribs’. The beef curry was actually very nice but a tiny portion. I have to say this takeaway is nowhere near as good as ‘eat well’ in Brownhill.

I put a review on before but I want to put another on because this is superb. Had a meal elsewhere at a supposedly good restaurant and it was nowhere near this good. It's a gem! 10/10 Alex

Best Chinese I’ve had in a long time !!

Never had a problem with my food it’s always hot and lovely. But tonight i picked my food up got home to dish it up and the salt and pepper chicken to say it was £7.00 where was the chicken?? There must have been about 5/6 small pieces in there. The prawn toast was soggy batter. Like i said i’ve never had a problem with this place but i won’t be returning it used to be really good now it’s just gone downhill and paying stupid money for the tiniest portions.

Don't be put of by it selling fish chips and other foods it's lovely Chinese very tasty and little waiting time

The food is always amazing. Good quality and quantity. Tam and all hs staff are so freindly and helpful. I would highly recommend.

It's okay but the majority of Burnley people clearly don't have any class. It was average, the noodles weren't nice at all and the fried rice isn't the best. Prawns in batter were soggy not crispy batter, chips were nice and chilli chicken was good

The Golden Orange is by far my favourite Chinese, not only in Burnley, but around the country. We usually get Chinese when travelling and I can honestly say that the crispy fried chilli beef is the best I've ever had, not only in the UK but abroad aswell.

Very good food, service and pleasant owners. My son really likes the sausage and chips - I always nick a few chips as they are so nice! The Chinese meals are very tasty too, the other half likes Satay and I'm partial to a Chow Mein. Shame they don't deliver but it's worth travelling across town for!

Picked from the set menu. Chop suey rolls a meal in themselves. Some Chinese food can be samey, here each dish was uniquely different and tasty. We had Satay and chow mein Bulked up for family with excellent seaweed, curry and rice.

Excellent Chinese takeaway, comprehensive menu, friendly service, freshly cooked and top quality food. The king prawns were huge, plentiful and perfectly cooked, nice and tender. I highly recommend this local takeaway

I was recommended this place from a friend . So I went expecting to be ok . And well it was phenomenal really . So I called in on Sunday just to make sure it wasn't a one off hahahaha. Well that was amazing too . So I'll be there tonight as well as they closed Monday and Tuesday. 10/10 I'll not be going anywhere else for the time being . Best in Burnley

It's all ways busy so proves they sell good food at good prices friendly staff never had any complaints the English food is just as good aswell i even received a thoughtful beautful wrapped Christmas gift thankyou.

Brilliant chippy for English and Chinese food

Golden Orange has to be our favourite Chinese Takeaway. We used to live walking distance away and having moved happily travel a few miles because nobody closer compares. At £15 The go box has to be one of the finest suppers in town. Great food great value. A box of delights with proper Chinese Chip Shop Curry Sauce. Hope to keep visiting for many years to come!

10/10 for Golden Orange 26-28 Briercliffe Rd Burnley who launches their G.O. Box this week. A 12 inch pizza box full of salt and pepper treats for all to share!! Salt & Pepper chips, spring rolls, S&P mini ribs, S&P chicken wings, S&P chicken pieces. Egg fried rice, curry sauce, sweet & sour sauce! Great value for £15!

It’s the only Chinese that is consistent with amazing food every time, we’ve been going here 20+ years and still the same quality. By far the best Chinese in Burnley, the OK and salt&pepper ribs are amazing! The service is fantastic to boot, I just wish they delivered!

We visited after the football and the takeaway was very busy,, the staff were very helpful and whilst we had a little wait it was well worth it. The quality of food was very good at reasonable prices.

We always get our food from here when getting chinese,I have tried several others in the area but none can compare to the Golden Orange,we always get a special kunbo which is full of king prawns,beef,chicken,pork and in a spicy sauce,I would recommend this dish to anyone,and can guarantee pure quality,and at a very reasonable price too.

Family takeaway that has been open for longer than I can remember. Always great food , they make the best gravy in town. Food always great .

The Golden O is the best Chinese takeaway in Burnley and one that I have used since it first opened with the present owners parents, it is consistently good the service is spot on and friendly and to not have had a poor takeaway in over 45 years is testimony in it's self long may it keep going

The Golden Orange has been open since I was a child, and I pop in once a fortnight, if not more. The regular fish and chip fare is good, and I enjoy their black bean and fried rice dishes a lot. Staff are friendly, prices are reasonable. I go back time and again.

This chippy has been here as long as I can remember. The kids took over from the parents. It has always been good value with a great menu selection. There are a lot of eateries in this area but this is on of the most popular.

The food is great you always get service with a smile and I always ring up to place my order and it is ready in 10 mins for pick up

My family have been going here for 20+ years, we used to live in the neighbourhood & now we still make the journey when we fancy a good Chinese... chips are the tastiest I've had from any chippy nevermind a Chinese.

Been my local for 40 years, never had a complaint. Son took over from Dad and has kept the standard high.

We travel from the far side of town for both a Chinese or simply Chippy food. All the meals are great but some how they make some of the best chips I've ever had and their Curry sauce is super tasty, I could buy it by the bucket full.

Been ordering food from the golden orange for over 20 years we only use others when this is closed the food is always good tasty and fresh and you can't complain about the portions the garlic dishes are my favourite also the tomato dishes a must try !
