The noodles were fresh. Service was quick and the guy behind the counter was super friendly. But above all, the food was absolutely to die for.

Had the wonton noodles, Mrs had pumpkin korokke with shredded chicken and the emoji mushroom with spinach. Everything freshly prepped and very tasty. The wontons were like little flavour bombs, next time we go I'm going to order a separate plate of wontons to go with it they're so good!

This is the best noodle house in the UK. Get the original beef and you will not be disappointed. It is a must stop in Nottingham

Ate here for the first time today. I enjoyed my meal, but wished it had bok choy, as pictured in the menu (original beef). Hearing the staff speak loudly to fellow customers in Chinese was reassuring as to the authenticity of the food, but I wish the music was louder so that I didn’t have to feel like I was eavesdropping (despite not actually understanding anything). Overall I’m giving 4 stars because the flavor was good, quality & cut of meat was good, and I appreciated the possibility to add my own amount of chili oil to the dish. The portion was the right size, more than I expected in comparison to some of the mainstream Asian places I saw in the area.

Genuinely the best food you can get in Nottingham city centre. The braised beef noodles are so incredible, I've visited over 10 times over the last year, and don't plan on stopping. This is not a place for good service or wonderful atmosphere. Just amazing noodles.

Habíamos estado en un par de veces y empezar bastante bien. Las últimas 2 veces que estuvimos fue un servicio terrible. La última vez que pedí dumpling y esperar hasta que todos terminamos, se olvidaron de hacerlo y no reembolsable, así que podemos recoger bebidas en la nevera... Esta vez, pedí unos fideos y no te dicen cuál es cuál. Pedido fideos de carne sin carne y simplemente no les importa el personal masculino, simplemente no es cuidadoso como de costumbre. Inténtelo 3 veces y ambas veces son un servicio absolutamente inaceptable y no escuchan a su cliente? Tiempo difícil para las empresas independientes y siempre apoyamos a nuestro local y esto es muy difícil para alguien y su personal no se preocupan y se van sin ninguna disculpa! Qué pena. La comida es buena, pero que quieren pagar £ 40 por un almuerzo para 2 personas y el servicio no es aceptable. Piénsalo dos veces para llevar, ya que ahora al día tantos buenos restaurantes en Nottingham y con los mismos precios y mucho mejor servicio, como en la zona de Hockley o Sneitnon Market.

I was recommended to try the braised beef noodles. The beef and broth were very delicious but I wasn’t a fan of the consistency of the noodles since they were very starchy. The staff were very friendly and accommodation, I personally liked the atmosphere as it gave the restaurant a cozy feel.

It’s rare to be able to eat authentic northern-style handmade dumplings in Nottingham. The dumplings are huge in size and the skin is thin and very tough. The dumplings are filled with fillings and soup. I wonder if this will be the dream of many northern children. dumpling!

Zhajiang noodles are very authentic, sweet and salty, and the noodle restaurants in Beijing are at this level. The fried noodles and braised beef noodles are also highly recommended.

Excellent noodles. All hand made, delicious sauces/broths. Put it this way, I didn’t take photos as the food was so tasty! 4/5 for service as while the ladies were lovely and friendly, you order at the kitchen and collect your own food when done (this is quite normal in canteen style restaurants, but less so in the UK)

Note: Now called Notts Noodles. Lovely little Chinese noodle house. Variety of dishes, most of them noodles in soup with various meat & veg. My varieties are the Spicy Chicken (chicken on the bone and potatoes in a spicy broth) and Beef With Pickled Cabbage. Have also tried, and enjoyed, Beef With Tomato, Original Beef (a bit delicate for my taste, but added some of the chilli oil which is provided on each table and that soon gave it more oomph). It also does a few non-noodle options, but I'm not sure if they're intended as side dishes or main courses.

By far the best noodles I have ever had in Nottingham.

So we have literally just been to this place. Ordered two portions of spicy chicken noodles and ANY instant noodles would have been a better choice. Meat looked absolutely disgusting.We also ordered a side of spring rolls and as I came to the bar to pick it up, there was a nassive black hair on it. Took it straight back and left the place immediately. Just spent 30 pounds on this. Worst food in a long time!!!

I used to love this place until today. It was raining badly so we ordered out. After An hour and a half (ordered at 17:05 arrived at 18:48) the food arrived cold, less than the ammount you get in place and this „pleasure” cost us £25.

I visit Nottingham once a year for an event and I always look forward to buying noodles from this restaurant. It’s such a hidden gem - simple, delicious and authentic. I’m vegetarian so options are limited for me but the sesame and scallion noodles are just divine.

I regularly visit for braised beef noodle soup. They're absolutely delicious with some chilli oil added! It's less than a tenner for a very filling bowl, so great value as well. The restaurant used to be cash only but at some point they've added a card reader so you don't need to worry about bringing cash any more.

Braised beef noodles are the go to. Service and atmosphere is no frills but staff are super friendly and they finally accept card!

Came here for a quick bite. Was left disappointed. The spring rolls were curry veg rolls which wasn't advertised and we can't eat spice. The noodles were OK but nothing special. Filled the tummy but didn't sate my appetite. Also at the time there was some weird issue going on with the staff and boss. Place looks very run down, it's functional but that's it. Toilet was super basic functional.

The popular braised beef noodle is flavoursome for just under £10 is my regular choice.. Add ons are a great value to bump up the meal. £2.50 for meat, £1.30 for noodles and £1 for veggies are recommended. The soup is a great stock and tastes clean, you could drink it. The original beef is a must try The Bad: - I found the prices to be a little high for what you get, however it is acceptable given the current climate - The menu is quite small (for some people this can be considered a plus) - The 大盘鸡 (big plate of chicken) is NOT served with classic flat noodles, it's a non-issue but I thought I might point it out for all you Da Pan Ji fans Overall a great little restaurant and is worth a visit if you love authentic Chinese.

The soup consists of 80% noodles. A few pieces of bone-in chicken. Also in the starter, chicken with bones. I do not recommend this place, a complete discrepancy between the price and the quality. The toilet is in terrible condition.

If you want big flavours and authentic Chinese homecooked food then this is your restaurant! The restaurant itself is very unassuming, no bells and whistle but the food speaks for itself. They have a limited menu but the dishes are hearty and delicious, all executed to perfection and reasonably priced. I had the dumplings today. The pastry was chewy with juicy filling which was just right. I've visited many time and had the hand pulled noodles which are made to order so completelyfresh every time. You order at the counter and then get called onced the dish/dishes are ready to collect from the front. The staff are lovely and friendly. I will definitely be returning and fully recommend.

The beef brisket noodles are delicious and you can see the noodles being made fresh in the kitchen in front of you. Very friendly staff, who seem to genuinely care about whether you've enjoyed the food. Not keen on the range of drinks, which I think cater more to an Asian palate, which is fair enough!

Absolutely lovely. Really brought me back to China and the 红烧牛肉面 was glamorous, same with the original 牛肉面. I will definitely be coming back to try their other noodles and their 饺子 :) 很好吃😋

I went with my children yesterday, children love the noodles so much, they are serving fresh making noodles, it's amzing, delicious taste, good price, thire people are friendly as well. felt very comfirtable atmosphere and we enjoyed so much. Definataly go again.

I love this little noodle shop, a good location, right at the centre of Nottingham, and you could have authentic handmade noodles. I mean, what more could you ask for! This is my go to noodle shop at the weekend, staffs are quite friendly as well.

Super noodles made fresh. I think these guys have changed names to Notts Noodles? Quick service. Wantons are made of beef without prawn filling which i found a bit odd but very tasty. The beef noodles are probably the speciality so go for those. Would defo come again.

Quiet little restaurant. Must be a well kept secret or something as the noodles are extremely good. My 5 year old daughter, who is a particular eater, loves eating these types of noodles. She had no issue eating this and wasn't happy when her mom took some out of her bowl. Speaking of which, these are pretty big servings. I could barely finish mine.

Lan Zhou has a small but perfectly formed menu and everything they do is top notch! The beef brisket noodle soup is a warming favourite that reminds me of my childhood and the oily noodles are my staple now that I eat less meat. The handmade noodles are pure wizardry! I was so happy when they reopened after COVID closures. A simple, no frills and delicious restaurant that always hits the spot. Heads up, it’s cash only.

Definately one of the top restaurants in Nottingham. Authentic Chinese beef noodles that are pulled to order. Totally delicious and filling. It's also very cheap at £7.50 for a huge portion before it closed temporarily. I used to go once or twice per week. Please re-open as soon as possible even for take out only. This is a must visit place.

The best Lanzhou noodles I've ever had. You see them being pulled, you eat them, job done. Incredible. Tasty beef with quality broth (I saw another review which questioned the time it's cooked for, defs plus 20 hrs I think). Nice small menu so there is no confusion over your order, save that faff for another day.
