We called in on Saturday lunchtime. It was very quiet but after reading the reviews we thought we’d give it a go. The food was really good. We shared the dim sum starter and chilli spare ribs. Both of which were great. For mains we had a beef chow mein which again was lovely. Make sure you try the chilli sauce. It’s delicious and has a great depth of flavour. We also enjoyed a nice red wine and a pot of jasmine tea. The service was friendly and efficient. The price was also really good. Thank you.

Do not be fooled by the restaurant's exterior appearance. We went there for the first time today and we were very pleased. The service was fast and very friendly. The food is simple, fresh and great. It gave us the feeling of being a family restaurant with authentic, delicious Chinese food. Furthermore, the price was extremely affordable, having paid less than 40 pounds for two starts and two main courses. Definitely recommend this place!

Loved this so much but they are currently closed for summer holidays until Mid August. Have to wait for them to come back :'(

We unexpectedly went there at around 5pm. It was a quiet, lovely place. Great cooking and friendly staff. Lucky.

Not bad food or restaurant but the service was slow and not very good and the atmosphere was quiet with everyone on their phones. All our food came out at different times and we had to ask for our drinks. Definitely had better Chinese !

Nice food and lovely service from most staff. An ignorant person behind the bar spoiled it a bit though. Having the heating on would have been nice. Atmosphere a little spoiled by the constant buzz of people's mobile phones playing Youtube videos.

Never in all my years of loving and appreciating Chinese food have I been served boiled rice with a scrambled egg in it and charged for egg fried rice.. just rude..

To be clear this review is about delivered food. They offer delivery by Deliveroo; however for our location, less than two miles away, delivery is not available. So I called the restaurant and they confirmed delivery was possible. I'd estimate we saved 30% compared to the prices posted on Deliveroo, so result! Cash only. The food, for the most part, is exceptional. Gan shew (sp?) prawns with minced pork is totally delicious; the boiled fish with Sechuan pepper was absolutely at the limit of what I can tolerate in terms of spicyness, but highly enjoyable. We once tried some non-Sechuan dishes and they were less convincing, eg sweet and sour chicken. The deliveries we've had were very quick, perhaps less than half an hour. So if you're tired of run-of-the-mill Chinese food with its industrial sauces and prepared to be a bit adventurous then this is the place for you.

One of the last happy memories before lockdown was a long evening at Beijing Chef, where you're always welcomed like an old friend, and every visit offers new opportunities for surprise. Besides fulfilling the primal desire for punitive heat and salt, it's a terrific place to experiment with regional Chinese cookery - I can't wait for the crisis to pass so I can continue my education.

Toda la comida era deliciosa y venía en porciones de buen tamaño. La berenjena de Sichuan era tan sabrosa y tierna, el brócoli con ajo era delicioso y fresco, ¡y la sopa de fideos con carne era perfecta! Great Chinese to takeaway or sit in.

We were a mixed group of meat eaters and vegetarians. The food and service was out of this world. Dumplings, salt and pepper tofu, and spring rolls to start. Next crispy duck, kung po chicken, belly pork and potatoes for the carnivores. Garlic pak choi, salty spicy green beans, and fried tofu for the veggies. Noodles and rice for staples. Topped off with fried sweet pumpkin cake. You have to go.

Had the salt and pepper ribs, Kung pao chicken, white cabbage vegetable and some white rice. The food was amazing and I definitely recommend this place to people looking for a taste of authentic Chinese food outside of China. They were open on Christmas when I went, and they also do deliveries. Excellent service by the people working here, will definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

We dined here last night, the service was so friendly and the food was amazing! My partner said the salt and pepper ribs we had were the best he has ever had and I couldn't agree more. Everything else was wonderful too. Cant wait to come back. Thank you

The food here is really good and it doesn't seem to be busy. Prices are decent aswell hidden gem. You can just walk in get seated straight away and feast.

Tenía un día bebiendo y necesitaba comida. El servicio era fantástico y la comida era increíble! ¡Todo lo que salió fue fresco, super caliente y realmente sabroso! ! Lo hacen para llevar o comer en demasiado. Pedí algo con chiles y terminé sudando por los globos oculares, pero aún así fue genial. ¡La próxima vez leeré mejor el menú! El servicio también era genial, no me puedo quejar del lugar.

Ordered Szechuan chicken, fried rice, hot and sour soup and prawn noodles. The taste was between ok and good but could get much better with a little bit more authenticity and better use of spices. Good staff and good quality of food.

I heard that all chef here have over 25 years cooking experience. I had a dish of shanghai sweet soy pork with rice. The pork tasted sweet with fascinated scent of soy, is my cup of tea. I'd like to have it again. Thanks a lot.
