Food was OK, not brilliant. Wait time was reasonable (45 mins at 6.30pm). Prices were on the high side, but portions were reasonably generous.

Chicken ball were more batter then Chicken. Prawn satay hardly any prawns. Crispy beef taste really sweet. Kids had some chips they were terrible. Took over an hour and a half to arrive. Definitely not worth the wait. Never again

This was quite possibly the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had and will deffo be recommending it! Nothing tasted too greasy and even the fried food (chicken balls and prawn toast) didn’t feel too heavy. Really recommend the special rice.

Best Chinese for delicious food

Rang to order delivery told they don't deliver to BS10.. only a mile and a half away..

My go to dish when I go to a new Chinese is shredded beef - if they do it well they have my custom. I've been to a lot of places and here I had it with their Singapore chow mein, it was in my top five and I went back the next night to try their shredded chicken, also gorgeous. Great food at great prices served by really nice people 👍

Absolutely the best Chinese in Bristol (and we've tried enough!). The crispy chilli beef is out of this world and the spring rolls are so big they probably have their own postcode. We won't order from anywhere else. There can be a wait of up to a couple of hours for delivery in busy periods but just plan and order ahead. We promise they're worth the wait.

Had been a couple of times before and really enjoyed it, and the staff were always really lovely, but recently went and got absolutely horrific food poisoning from the beef, felt unwell pretty instantly then spent a week in bed horribly sick. AVOID!!

Some of the best chicken sweet and sour (Hong Kong style), chow mein and egg fried rice I've had.

Such fantastic Chinese food right on our doorstep. Turned up without pre-ordering but with a long list that family had given me to get. Took about 20 minutes to cook from scratch which is perfectly acceptable. Loved the way that all the staff were bantering (obviously in Chinese so I had know idea what they were saying) but interspersed with lots of laughter. Happy employees make better quality food!

Ordered the chicken fried rice and pork szechuan and it was amazing dinner for 2. However I would like the quantity of pork in the szechuan to be higher. Overall great first experience, will come again

Just returned from a long holiday first place I go to is the Golden Oriental. I drive 4 miles past 3 over similar cuisines to purchase their Roast Pork Curry it's the best taste and always hits the target. We've ate there Malaysian and Thai foods all superb price. The meat is alway great quality my whole family are hooked on all of the individual tastes from this establishment.. A hidden gem keep up the great work.

Reasonable service but disappointing food. The black bean sauce was, sadly, more of brownish water with little flavour and 5 beans across the entire portion. The veg selection in the veg in sauce dish was also disappointing with no sign of broccoli or sugar snaps- mostly onion, bean sprouts and a touch of thinly sliced pepper. Having ordered vegetables in black bean sauce, I expected a better selection of veg and sauce that I can taste. Instead the brown water remained at the bottom of the container and I felt like I could have gotten more if I stir fried bean sprouts and onions home on my own with a handful of basic spices.

My and My Girlfriend love this place. Our favourite is number 105 - Best Chicken Curry with Boiled Rice EVER, it never gets old every time it is absolutely delicious. Chow Main is also super tasty, Some people will struggle to eat it all at once. We’ve been eating there on a regular basis since 2015 and over the years superior quality didn’t change. Super friendly staff.

Best Chinese restaurant around BS34 and further. Throughout lockdown tried different places that were on delivery apps and none compare. Had golden oriental tonight and realised that it's not the same when you don't order from here. Food arrived when promised and tasted amazing. I could live in the chicken skewers

Well tonight we had the choice of 50% off Uber Eats or our favourite chinese takeaway, guess what we chose, yep Golden Oriental ! a treat from our eldest Son for his Dad's Birthday and we were not disappointed, we have been using this takeaway for many years, the food is great quality, plentiful and service is always friendly. We have tried other takeaways but none are as good as this one, you will not be disappointed.

I travel from St George all the way to Filton to get Chinese takeaway because they have the BEST food - the taste, texture and flavours are always on point and consistent. Excellent customer service overall. I get so much joy from eating their food :)

The food was absolutely fab. Good quality and lots of flavour! Service was great excellent and friendly. Only a 20 min waiting time for our food which was great! Only negative thing was that the crispy chilli beef was over cooked and tasted like pork scratchings but that was the only fault we found! We will definitely be coming back again :)

Everytime I eat here it's always fab.. although I don't order the chips as I like proper chip shop chips. Everything is always hot they are always busy so delivery is around 45mins to an hour but as we know that in advance we are happy to wait for quality x

Delivery was Late, because they took the wrong house no, & to add to it they got the order wrong, I rang over 10 times & line was busy, gave up not ever ordering from them again.

Recomendable, aunque me decepcionó mucho que no lo hacen con sal y pimienta, a pesar de hacer patatas fritas de pollo con sal y pimienta, etc. y que es, literalmente, el más fácil de hacer. . . I. e do ni. al patatas fritas y pusieron en un wok durante 2 minutos con las especias cebollas y pimientos. . Sin embargo tuve hongos y arroz al curry vegetariano eggfried como y fue bueno. . . Necesita una opción patatas pimienta sal y aunque. . Mi amigo tenía langostinos. sopa de costillas y de pollo con sal y pimienta y me encantó. . Yo le quiero pedir de nuevo, pero sin duda las patatas fritas con sal y pimienta. . Así que hágame saber cuando añadir al menú y le pida su compañía todos los días y totalmente rápido. Gracias

poor customer service and food wasn't great either. when chow Maine arrived it was swimming in grease/water. the pancakes for the duck were dry like they had be toasted. over all I was very disappointed.

Good Tasty Chinese food. Nice options and lots of vegetarian options. As everything is made fresh, if you need something removed; i.e.egg, then they can do it. Friendly service, though often a short wait for food. However when its freshly cooked and nice and tasty, its worth the wait.

Pros; friendly and efficient staff, plenty of choice on the menu, reasonable prices, generous portions, good food. Cons; only accept cash payment. However, they kindly allowed us to order prior to paying so we could walk to the cash point (a very short walk away).

We have been coming here for takeaway food for years and its always consistently great! prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful.It also has a 5* food hygiene rating. I would recommend Golden Oriental very highly. When they have been closed or away on holiday we have tried other nearby chinese takeaways and in my opinion none are as good. (so what if its cash only! - there is a cashpoint at Natwest 100 metres away) Give it a try.
