Gwok Hing in South Ribble

1st time ordering from Gwok Hing and will not be the last! I think it may be the best Chinese takeaway I've had in years. I've tried a couple Chinese takeaways in the Bamber Bridge area but Gwok Hing is head and shoulders above the rest! Our order was simple but can be hard to get it right. Sweet and Sour chicken, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips with veg spring rolls and every part of the order was perfect! Definitely recommend. I've found my go to Chinese takeout!

BEAUTIFUL FOOD!! Ordered with the family.Very nice.Also was surprised when I saw its a Chinese that is open all day, you don't see those often.

I’ve just eaten the best Chicken Satay Skewers I’ve ever had. Hands down. no competition. Absolutely banging.

Only the 2nd time weve ordered, thought the 1st meal was fantastic but the 2nd was superb. Large portions, value for money and so so tasty.

We come here and Blackpool for vacation and then find this pearl! To reserve some places of our tummies for birthday cake later, I only ordered beef chow mein and special fried rice tonight for my family of 3. All of us like the food and the portions are big! The beef is soft and juicy with just-good sauce and veggies. Special fried rice surprising me! The taste is excellent and it has many veggies, eggs, char siu, chicken, etc. My 8 year old son even continuously said “hmm~yummy~hmm~ yummy~” when eating😂😂😂 My husband and I think Gwok Hing is the most delicious Chinese takeaway we have met in the UK!!

Gwok Hing is a truly delightful Chinese takeaway that never fails to please. Always friendly and super quick service, this is my number one destination in the area. Their sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice is exemplary! Regarding the price; I would say they are in line with most other comparable takeaways - however, their quality of service and food is of a very high standard.

We've not been here for a while and to be honest we won't be going back in a hurry. The chicken was quite tough and the curry sauce was very watery. We've definitely had better from here before, I don't think we'll bother again

While Gwok Hing may not look fancy or glamorous from the outside, it is without a doubt the finest Chinese establishment in Bamber Bridge and the surrounding areas. Very reasonable waiting times, slightly on the more expensive side of Chinese takeout but absolutely worth it. Every single time.

Food OK but the Cantonese stye food was extremely sweet. Not sure if this is normal but I didn't enjoy it. The curry was great.

Best Chinese take away in Costa Del Brig. Food was superb yet again. It’s not pricey either. Shredded chilli chicken is recommended.

Ordered a vegetarian sweet and sour vegetables only to find a chicken wing in the sauce!!!! Needless to say will not be going back again despite having used this takeaway for a number of years....very disappointed and disgusted 😭

Few of us got meals from here, priced well for the area. Bit of a wait on collection but friendly staff. Overall verdict was average, nothing to complain about but nothing stands out.

Food is second to none, our favourite chinese in Preston. Place is clean, staff are very friendly and polite and always give us a free can of pepsi with our order. Portions are large and come piping hot and the quality of the food is consistent, never once had a bad order from them. Couldn't recommend them enough.

Fantastic Chinese takeaway. Every single item was incredible! The salt and pepper chicken wings, crispy chilli beef and satay beef were exceptional!! I'd highly recommend.

My usual Chinese takeaway was closed so went here instead. It's the new favourite!

Very nice food. Polite service and portion sizes were surprisingly big. Price is good too. Only reservation is that I couldn't not find an online menu which meant I had to turn up and decide and the wait.

1st time trying here wow was amazing chilli chicken is to die for piping hot and free drink and crackers will deffo be using again

Food consistently delicious, got salt and pepper king prawns, massive prawns, good size portion, the veg is not overcooked.. Meat spring rolls are a must! Even the chips are yummy, best Chinese ive ever had! 5 stars! Keep up the great work guys!

I’ve tried every Chinese in the Walton-Le-Dale/Bamber Bridge area and this is by far the best!! Each dish is fresh and clean, and they deliver every time on my special request just as I want it!! The portions are huge too 😋

Tried here for the first time tonight even though we have live in the area for 17 years . The service was prompt and friendly and the place was immaculate. Never seen such a place so clean. We had placed an order over the phone, however we had ordered the wrong rice ,this was not an issue and was replaced with want we should have ordered. The size portion is huge . Taste was delicious. Definitely our new fav Chinese.

Food is fresh and tasty. Excellent choice - would be great to get menu on Internet. Atmosphere not relevant, strictly takeaway, but very clean. Places include rice / chips.

Not much to say really. It's a Chinese and it's alright. Nothing spectacular but nothing bad. The service is quite quick it they don't do liver for some reason. Sorry, they don't deliver apparently

By far the best Chinese around, I usually go Happy Valley but I find the quality varies... thought I’d try this place for a change and the food was AMAZING! by far the nicest Chinese I’ve had- fresh, clean and such good flavour. I will defiantly be making this my new regular.

Good portion sizes, food full of flavour. Old school doesn’t deliver or take cards but worth the venture out for cash.

If you're looking for hearty portions sizes then this Chinese will certainly fill you up. Quick service, only take cash so have some folding stuff in your wallet/purse. Highly recommend the chow mein dishes. The chips are fairly unique - these are my favourites from Chinese restaurants in Bamber Bridge. If you've not tried this takeaway then give it a whirl as become our go to in recent months within this area.

The food is really fresh, very tasty tried several different meals and all have been fantastic. Highly recommend. It's just a pity that they don't deliver but don't mind driving to collect such quality food. Keep up the good work.

My new favourite Chinese! The food tastes really fresh and the servings are really generous. I had beef in black bean last time and the beef was really tender. I also tend to get sweet and sour king prawn which is really good. Great value as well as your rice is included in most dishes.

Great service and good value for money. As family of four started to have duck, mixed starters followed by two dishes which like our own banquet. Could do to alter special offers as I felt cheated-please change spends above £20 to free big prawn crackers and can of choice?

This is the best Chinese around with well cooked food and plenty to eat. Will be returning very soon and recommending to all my friends.

Had some lovely food from here last night, I was pleasantly surprised. Much better than the other Chinese on the crossroads which is utter garbage in comparison.

Not been for a while so was surprised to see how clean it is ordered my meal (has hubby was at footy) served by the lovely girl. Got home and dished up there was enough to feed two. Fresh tasty and hot defo going back.

This takeaway was previously New Orient and I've used it for years. It recently changed hands and I found the meat, I had beef, to be very chewy with slimey texture and the dish sauce was pretty tasteless. I wont go back. Friends have also said the same. Its a pity they didn't keep to the previous well-established recipes to retain their customer base. Don't usually post reviews but I was just so disappointed.
