The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

Thought we would try a different Chinese but that was a big mistake ! Portions were very small, chow main was bland with very little meat, crispy shredded chilli chicken, this was sweat and sour chicken drenched in sweat and sour sauce with a few chilli flakes sprinkled on top, plum sauce duck had no plum sauce and was on a massive bed of pineapple making it look like there was way more duck that there was, over all expensive, bland, badly made food would recommend mcdonnalds of this place

Went to this chippy one Friday evening,we ordered two soups,ribs and a portion of chips the soups had halved in size but still the same price the ribs were a smaller portion but still the same price and the same with the chips.hate being ripped off but especially when they reduce the size and think you won’t notice,definitely won’t be going back.

Food was lovely. Great quality ingredients good portions and very tasty. Found our new Chinese takeaway, will definitely be back.

The best Chinese food we have ever had. Everything so far has been so tasty and generous portions. The staff are lovely too and the shop looks immaculately clean.

Such a shame that I have to give the Chinese restaurant a low review as the food is lovely but the lady that answers the phone is so rude and ignorant. She speaks to you every time like you are an idiot. I feel like I don’t want to order with her.

We ordered a banquet for three and got enough food for 2 days. The service was quick enough and we found the food super tasty.

Live locally and thought about getting a take away from here. Checked out their food hygiene rating. It got a 1 star. Must be pretty terrible so went else where

The food here is bland, greasy and absolutely disgusting. I have been to this takeaway on and off for the last 20 years, and whilst it’s never been good, yesterday’s meal was put straight in the bin. This is the last time I will ever go to this take away,

This a regular favourite take away for my family. We have been using them for many years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are lovely, food is great and they continue to hold a 5 star rating from the council. The fact that they do both Fish & Chip dinners and Chinese food is a bonus, living in Longparish it is our closest take away and they are also very supportive of all local charities - giving vouchers for raffles and fundraisers regularly.

Waited for an hour and a half for delivery. Called and was told it was on the way. 2 hours later when called they said it was delivered then told they had a problem with the order and the food was not made. We were refunded but very disappointed with the service and being messed about. Would have appreciated honestly about the delay but unfortunately this makes us not want to order again.

Been going to this Chinese takeaway for years as I love the way they make a chicken and mushroom curry also have had many other food they do and everytime just brilliant well done to the owners..

I’m sorry to say that over the last year or so the food has gone down hill. It used to be really nice but then something changed and the fried rice tasted bland and the food was over cooked. The final straw was when I found a hair in my chilli shredded beef, it just put me right off. I called them to complain and I asked if they wear hair nets in the kitchen and they said no and said sorry and thanks for letting them know. That was it! Sad to say we won’t be eating there again until it gets better.

Small Chinese take-away. Big menu, and big portions. Set meal for 3 lasted 2 days! Food cooked fresh as you wait. Don't be put off by the somewhat decrepit interior which does need bringing into the 21st Century, as the food was great. Perhaps a little more heat in the curry would have helped mind you. Girl on the front counter (and phone) was nice and friendly.

Really disappointing experience. Have been before and usually fine. Staff polite but clearly overstretched that evening . I was told 25 minutes over the phone but after having taken the money at the shop I was then told no one knew how long the food would be…! Problem is I can accept a delay on a hot summer Saturday but a simple dish of prawn fried rice tasted like a cobbled together collection of burnt leftover scrapings ..inedible . Sorry not coming back

This is the first time using the Hong Kong Chef, we have travelled to other areas based on reviews. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. All dishes ordered were delicious. Special Chow mein, special fried rice, salt and pepper chicken, best sweet and sour chicken balls ever, chips (fantastic, like a chip shop) satay pork. Will 100% be going back.
