We had the most delicious meal from here last night. We have been eating here for about a year and the food just keeps getting better and better. The food is hot, fresh, full of flavour and delicious. Highly recommend! As an FYI we usually order, Chicken satay on skewers, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour King prawns, crispy beef, crispy seaweed, pancake rolls, crackers. All good!

First visit since moving to Winslow. We had four meals and the food was of a very good standard with the exception of the Thai curry, which was a little disappointing.

Got food from here never again food tasted stale and like the sauces where made from kitchen cleaners, not to mention the chicken balls that had a tiny piece of sliced chicken in that where soggy, and actually rectangles, chow Mein was deffo not fresh either! Restaurant wasn’t interested in hearing it unless I drove back to return at least 70% of the food too late thrown it out and thrown the rest up! Save your money

Had a takeaway Saturday night. Order phoned through and we collected. £63.00 complete let down. Probably the worst Chinese ever! Spring rolls were like the frozen box of 20 you get from a supermarket, 20 for £1.00. The crispy duck was burnt to a crisp with hardly any meat on it. The beef was rubbery. Chicken fried rice was awful. Will never go here again 🤨

We have had a take away from Ma’s Cottage in the past and it has been nice. We haven’t been there for a while, but this weekend we ordered a take away to collect and the quality of the food was very poor. We had prawn toast which tasted like cardboard and then each of us chose one of the Thai noodle or rice dishes. I had Nasi Goreng - which was dry and tasteless and overcooked and on the menu said it contained prawns and chicken - they had also put in Chinese pork which was not listed in the menu. My dish was the worst but each of the 4 of us did not enjoy the food. This takeaway will not last long if they continue to serve food like this.

We recently returned from holiday late and decided to have a take away. We placed the order, unfortunately not realising it was not our regular one in Winslow but this one which we have previously been disappointed with. However we went ahead and collected it @£26. The portion sizes were ridiculously small especially the chips! These were also cold. We phoned to complain and received a argumentative response but they eventually agreed to refund but only if we returned all the food which we explained had been dished up but they still insisted. We scrapped all the food as best we could into the containers and returned to the takeaway. Unbelievably they then proceeded to check through every single container and then tried to deduct the price of the rice because it wasn’t separate from the curry! With our refund in hand we went to our regular spot and enjoyed a tasty, larger meal!

Possibly the worst Chinese takeaway meal I have ever had... not cheap, tasted horrible, will not return even though we live locally 😞😞

We have been regular customers of this takeaway over the last few years and have enjoyed the food. However we noticed that the quality and portion size had gone downhill and the normal cheerful owner was no longer around. This was confirmed after last nights meal when the takeaway confirmed they were new owners. The Chili Salt & Pepper prawns which used to contain large plump juicy prawns now contains prawns that have been butterflied and flattened to within a millimetre of their lives which made them tough and not pleasant the special fried rice seems less tasty and the shredded duck we had last time was tough and uninspiring. Look slike we will have to find another Chinese.

ordered supper as we often have from Ma's Cottage. we both had Singapore chow mein which we have had before and thoroughly enjoyed then but last night's meal was very strange indeed. my husband started his first and said this tastes very strange, it tastes like an Indian dish. I tried mine and found it was greatly over seasoned but with cumin? turmeric? could taste nothing but Indian spices ! we persevered but did not enjoy at all and left most of it. don't get me wrong, we also love Indian food but in a chow mein?? not nice at all. shame. anyone else experienced this?

Collected a Friday night takeaway for convenience and, as we hadn't tried this local place before, thought we'd give it a go. The food was ok but standard Chinese. My Singapore chow mein was quite tasty and very filling. The chips were decent too. If you're looking for a quick and easy, reasonably priced takeaway this place is fine.

We had 5 dishes altogether and every one of them was awful. Ribs/chicken satay/pork chow mein/crispy beef - even the special fried rice was bad.Everything was dry and looked and tasted like it had been cooked days before and then re heated. Really disappointing and not cheap either!

Las algas no era muy crujiente, la tostada de gambas era suave, el pato estaba fría y tenía los huesos, la carne en salsa de frijol negro era insípida y duro, las gambas con las castañas de cajú eran demasiado ricos el huevo frito arroz era absolutamente horrible.

Busy take-away serving tasty, freshly cooked south east Asian food. Portions are generous and the food most enjoyable. My only quibble was that they make a charge if you use a debit/credit card which leaves a bad taste in your mouth!

Tened cuidado, hay aparcamiento limitado por aquí y por la noche varias para llevar la competencia y cafés. Ma's Cottage tiene una selección mucho más amplia que la China. El servicio es amable y entusiasta a veces tocan un montón de abundante y sabrosa comida muy sutilmente cuando proceda. Recomendado.

great food and loads of it - quick service - polite staff , always seem to get little extras thrown in for free, discount scheme works well for regulars.

Food is awesome and the service is second to none, since our first experience my fathers deathly allergy to fish has been top of their priorities! love coming here it is always a pleasure! would recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Delicious food, ready at the promised time and served with a smile. This is the third time we have used Mas Cottage and have thoroughly enjoyed the food every time. The meat is tender and full of flavour but we also ordered the salt and pepper squid which is advertised in the store, this was tender and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

The menu is varied and the food is always beautifully cooked. The best pancake rolls I have ever had. Thank you.

a friend recommended this to me so i went in on a friday afternoon and there service was lovely the staff were very chatty, the food was authentic and well cooked and i was very impressed. It was so busy when i went but they gave me my order pretty quickly!

Ordered from here after moving just down the road. We got a puppy at the beginning of the week and we were exhausted by the end so wanted something quick and didnt want to cook! Was within the realms of how much we thought it would be, we got sweet and sour hong kong style, egg fried rice, satay chicken and veg, salt and pepper chicken, special chow mein which had a fried egg on top, pork and chicken and also chips and gravy. Fairly basic order for us but was lovely and tasty. Could taste the peanuts in the satay dish and the pineapple in the sweet and sour which you dont get much anymore. Not oily all seemed fresh. We got free prawn crackers which was a nice touch and you could tell these were cooked on the premise. Lovely food, staff were pleasant and chatty. Lots of choice on the menu so would come back to try other options.

Looking forward to a Chinese for my son's birthday, we spent over £50 for a meal, and when we opened it 3 dishes were unrecognisable. The chicken chow mein was vegetables with a bit of chicken, no noodles, the chicken satay was completely lacking in peanut sauce, and the sweet and sour chicken balls were two tiny bits of chicken in doughy, thick batter that was difficult to cut. Would not recommend, and will not go back again.

The name rather belies the fact that this is a Chinese/Thai/Malayan take away but the food that we have had there has been really excellent. The staff are so nice and the food is cooked freshly for you and is quick - so if you live in the area and are looking for a really good Chinese takeaway go to Ma's

A work mate told me about this Chinese takeaway so I thought I'd give it a go. It was an ok meal, nothing to write home about.Service was very slow and Staff were not very friendly, shall not return.

Yuck-over priced garbage in a polystyrene container-had better tasting food from the Aldi frozen range-doubt that the food would actually harm you but unless there's nothing else to eat (including Road kill) then I wouldn't bother.

Ordered a take away to be collected.Partner arrived and no food prepared because they were unsure if the credit card payment had gone through and wanted us to pay again. Several calls later and authorisation code from Mastercard to say they had the payment they still were not convinced and wanted us to pay again and they would refund at a later date if we had paid twice .WHAT!! never heard anything so ridiculous. Eventually agreed to cook the food and originally offered no discount for the inconvenience. Never felt so stressed ordering a take awayMy partner received a text the next day offering 10% off our next order..Wont be needing it, thank you... :-(
