Some menu items are a little bit greasy but the curry sauce and chips are to die for. Always amazing and lovely service on the phone. Would recommend.

Restaurant prices for a take away! £30 for just 3 dishes, noodles, rice and a meat. I even had to collect it, this did not include delivery.

I have been using Bamboo for over 10years. I loved this take away, in the 10years I only complained once and management apologised. Since coming out of lockdown Bamboo is not the same. A couple of months ago I ordered my usual takeaway from here. It was when we had the veg shortage, I got home and there were no vegetables and the food had no taste. On Saturday 15th April, we decided to give them one more try. The food was more or less the same as last time, we counted 3 thin slices of carrot pieces in the whole portion of pork fried rice, no peas or chilli. There were big chunks of pork with fat on it.The Singapore noodles had no taste we counted 2 shrimps with about 4 thin slices of carrot pieces. The prawn balls batter was very dark in colour like it had been fried in dirty oil, they had no taste to them. The price of my food order has gone down also, I’m assuming the price reflects the quality of food and cooking. Very sorry Bamboo I really tried to support you. Thank you for the previous wonderful years of food service. I can no longer justify giving you my hardworking money for the very low standards of food your takeaway service is producing. Myself and family will not be returning 😞

Ordered a Meal for One and spring roll, very disappointing. Tasteless, no seasoning at all. It was hot and cooked to order but with no flavour. Won’t be going back.

Ordered over the phone for collection, upon arriving arrival there was no one on the front desk, could see into the kitchen and ‘staff’ had no aprons on, headphones in there ears, all looked unprofessional. Eventually someone came, zero customer service , not even an hello. Onto the food, one word, dreadful. Chips = Tasted solely of oil , threw in the bin. Prawn curry = Tasteless, threw in the bin. Ribs = see picture attached an make your own mind up. Won’t be returning.

1st time ordering from here. Have to say overwhelmingly surprised. Ordered. Set meal with the Noodles and rice, Duck Chinese style, Meat Pancake Roll and Ribs in Honey sauce. Portions very large. Ordered these for 1, will take me 3 days to eat. No exaggeration Could have served 3 people easily!!! The Pancake roll was AMAZING. Crispy on the outside, flavoursome in the middle with just enough salt and loads of big bits of meat... and it's HUGE! Duck was cooked to perfection and the portion was generous. Included cabbage bamboo shoots and onions at the bottom which were also flavoursome (unlike other restaurants where the base just tastes like water) it was nice to use as gravy. Rice and Noodles very tasty and the subtle sweet and sour from the Meat balls slightly coated them both which was a nice touch. The Ribs were superb. They were not dry like most Ribs with Honey. The honey sauce portion was generous and the Ribs were a good size (approx 6-7incs) and the tub was packed full. Finally, all the food was piping hot and delivered about 15 before I was expecting it. Delivery driver seemed a nice guy. We shared a joke. I Would 100% recomend. I'll be eating from here again. A*****

Used the bamboo years ago when they had the resteraunt and disco above,it was one of my all time favorite chinese. Now one of the worst currys sweet and sickly chow mein no taste misses had chicken omelette which was vile chips deffinately reheated the only good thing was the pancack rolls. 2 out of 10 for me.

I ordered about an hour ago satay prawns on skewers and they was just about ok and my house special chow mein looked a mess and was inedible and my rice was like it was microwave in a cardboard box cause you can smell and taste it. Try to ring but closed.

Just got a Chinese from here tonight new years eve and as the phone was busy. We decided to drive. And ordered and was out within 25minutes. Brilliant food fantastic people and drove 15 minutes home and still hot. Been going here for years. Thanks again for a nice meal.

Wow, quite unbelievable. Have ordered from this takeaway for years. Last months order was inedible, called back and complained. Offered a free meal next time round, have just called back and surprise surprise, no recollection of my free meal. AVOID

was looking for a decent Chinese in aylesbury and read the reviews for this place, rang and ordered, very friendly guy took my order, had a laugh and a joke, read my order back to me and told me delivery time, it was delivered by a polite oldish guy who was very polite, so the service I received was amazing, now let's try the food!!!! WOW WOW WOW the taste, the flavours, it was just amazing, the whole experience was 10/10, the prawn crackers were melt in your mouth, absolutely loved it, couldn't recommend the place more highly, I wouldnt use any other Chinese in aylesbury since I found this little gem, I ignored the negative reviews and tried it for myself and very glad I did, this place is amazing you won't be disappointed, that I can assure you.

I felt very insulted when manger and lady both were very rude and said they can’t take my order .. without any proper explanation... I know the reason .. shameful .. I wouldn’t go to a place were you treat customers like this . I own my business I am Aware of customer service.. I felt very humiliated.. I will take this further and take necessary steps .. as I am feeling depressed... how can u say someone won’t serve u food .. we paying for it .. it’s not free !!!!! Service as well as food not good at all . Ordered veggi and got non veg food . After calling them . Got exchange but it was half cooked with nothing in it . I definetly would not recommend this take away ..

Could not eat anything I brought. Don't know whats happened but food smelt and tasted horrible. Like burnt oil. Never had this problem before. Wont be going back.

Apart from the great service, the food tasted good, we especially enjoyed the spring rolls. Only one small criticism would be that perhaps whoever was cooking today was a little heavy handed on the MSG..

Great service friendly staff always helpfull polite curtious food is always hot when delivered and cooked perfectly always turns up on time or slighty early from when there state at point of order. We use this resturant alot highly recommended to anyone new to Aylesbury or already lives in the area great value and dishes are always well packaged.

I treat my self and my son to a meal from here once a month, the order is always taken politely over the phone and they are honest about how long the wait will be. The food is always very hot and tastes fresh. This is really by far the best Chinese take away food I have had in this country. Recommend the chicken balls and the special fried rice, they give you so much!! Do the right thing and make this your first choice for Chinese take away. Love you guys.

This chinese take away has supplied me and my friends for take aways and full blown party meals since 1998 and they have consistently been professional, funny and always make sure chinese crackers are in the bag!!!!

Really tasty food and a relatively inexpensive take away. Gave us a little bag of prawn crackers too. I like that you can see the people in the kitchen working away whilst you are waiting so you know your food is made fresh too.

I have been using the bamboo for years. Their menu has all the 'chinglish' classics on that you would expect; sweet and sour, satay, chinese curry, chow mein, etc. The staff are friendly and industrious! It's good value for money. The food is always hot and quick, never seems over greasy like some can be. I've never been unhappy with an order from here.

Had a meal here last night haven't been in there in a while ( Purely as friends/family use a different takeaway ) food was AMAZING! the roast duck Chinese style is a must try and the Hong Kong Sweet And Sour chicken is brilliant will be going back here for sure!!!

Just had a delivery from this restaurant and have thrown it straight in the bin. Swimming in grease and to be frank disgusting! I called to complain and they were not interested. I will never use them again.

Being coming here long time .. Best pancake Rolls in Aylesbury .( light batter and large ). Asked for plain noodles with just Soy sauce and steamed veg. Slimming world way. .. ( I did explain they understood ). My husband enjoys their special house chow main worth trying he tells me .. But I can’t have shell fish. .. as it is mixed in with it .. but you do not t to have shell fish in it but got to say it makes the dish. .. he tells me . Great service from staff as well. .. Called Bamboo on the off chance as my local take away was closed, have used another take away for years but will be using Bamboo from now on. Customer service on phone is really good, only used Bamboo twice but treated like a regular, delivery is quick and food is AMAZING the amount and quality is great. Definitely recommend 👍

Since being taken over the food is being bulked out with veg and size of meats has gone down have not ordered from here for a while now due to this sort it out bamboo

Best takeaway Chinese in aylesbury

The food from this take away used to be excellent, however, it is not any more. Prices have gone up a lot (which is fair enough if food is good) but the food seems to have taken a bad hit as well. The batter on the prawn/pork balls was as hard a a bullet and seemed like it had been 're-heated in a microwave. Pork was slimy, had a strange film on the surface, was disclosures and had a very strange taste. Prawns still had bits of shell on and their poo sacs in. Chips soggy. Special fried rice and special chow mein did not have many prawns/meat/veg...just noodles or rice, nothing 'special' about it. All food extremely poor quality, soggy, slimy, already reheated or bad tasting. Do not buy anything from this take away. I just hope I don't end up with D&V tonight.

Amazing food...I don't normally order a take away as I prefer to go out to eat. The best Chinese food I've had in years! New favorite, I think I'll be eating in more often.

Nos desesperan de todos los otros sitios chinos que eran incompatibles con sabor y calidad. que pedimos desde aquí varias veces y la comida es fresca y llena de sabor y china auténtica. Pedimos una tarde esperando la comida para ser rápidamente improvisado y por debajo de la media. No un poco de ella! Consistentemente comida china increíble entregado con una sonrisa. Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera.

Food from here is always delicious and hot! They make dishes to order and make alterations when requested. Only down side is phone is always engaged due to high demand and delivery is a long wait again due to high demand - so actually that speaks for itself!Order early is my advice

I have been using the Bamboo for more years than I can remember and have never had a bad meal. I also travel around the country alot and would place the Bamboo in the top 5 of the country for reliability and quality.Are they busy - usually, do you struggle to get through on the phone on occassions - yes, the alternative is go to one that is not so highly rated by the public and see what you get !!!!

I always have a delivery and it arrives within an hour. The food here is very nice. They do the best pork balls I've ever had. The people are nice and pleasant. I usually ring up and they are always busy. Sometimes I visit and it's always busy. This tells me it's very popular. The only problem is getting through on the phone on a Saturday night. But it's worth the wait.

This restaurant is five minutes walk from my house yet every time I ring up and order a meal and go to collect at the specified time the meal is never ready.In fact they have not even bothered to start cooking the meal so I have to wait yet another twenty minutes in that awful unattractive waiting area. The staff speak English very well but they never make any "small talk" The fact is that they are usually so busy they don't have to care about customer contact or make them feel welcome, it is definitely a case of "take it or leave it" in this establishment and don't bother to look for an apology if anything should go awry with your order. The problem is that I am a victim of their success, as I only order a meal for one. Because it is an inexpensive item they are not bothered whether you order it from them or not.A few years ago there was another excellent takeaway in the Square which was very, very busy and The Bamboo did not get a look in but there was a fire in the kitchen and it closed down never to reopen. I expect that if you place a large order you will get better service . The Chinese lady is very nice but the Chinese man is very twitchy and likely to go off on one so be careful what you say to him this is a man who is "not always right, but never wrong" and he is likely to tell you so in no uncertain terms, no customer relations here, a smile one minute, a snarl the next. The biggest problem is that ninety percent of the time the food is excellent, the chefs are extremely hard working and really know what they are doing and the food is usually delicious. USUALLY. There have been times, not often, that the food was below par e.g.when the sweet and sour were so hard and overcooked that you could have played golf with them on a snow covered course because they were so black you would have been able to see them from a great distance Mentioned this to the Chinese chappy and i was lucky to escape with my life, no apology here then. The food itself i would definitely rate as 5 star in general thanks to the chef's undoubted expertise, but the guy at the counter gets a celestial count of zero, and he was indeed lucky to score that high. Won't be going there again anytime soon but that's my loss not theirs, i shall just have to find somewhere else. What is really annoying is that it would appear that the chefs are doing the hard work, serving at the counter I think would be the easy bit. Anyway to sum up food, lovely Chinese lady and Chef's all excellent, grumpy old Chinese man " shape up or ship out" the latter of the two being my preference. Smile or snarl? Take your pick.

Used to be the best Chinese takeway. Now the food quality is not so good. I bought a chicken curry - was more sauce than chicken.. Seems the focus is on profit, not curry. I don't go here any more. Wokswagen on Fairford Leys food is far better quality and pleasant to eat. A shame to see the best Chinese Aylesbury lowering its standards....
