Golden Dragon Chinese Takeaway in Halton

Went to this chippy one Friday evening,we ordered two soups,ribs and a portion of chips the soups had halved in size but still the same price the ribs were a smaller portion but still the same price and the same with the chips.hate being ripped off but especially when they reduce the size and think you won’t notice,definitely won’t be going back.

A great selection of dishes.Delivered speedily to my door, and always red hot...Been using their service for years now and never thought about changing.

Always use this chippy ..lovelyfood dead hot and loads in the trays ..just had mixed starter was lovely ..and king prawn fried is dead nice

We have been using this chippy for years for both English and Chinese food. The curry is so nice! Love the blackbean sauce from there. Portions are massive,esp for the price. Always fast and friendly service. The main man is so friendly (apologies dont know his name!) He always does a "plane" chicken burger joke when my sister orders a chicken burger.such a friendly man. Been using this chippy for years and will be using it for years to come. Would def recommend, going to order a Chinese now from there :)

Went to this chippy one Saturday evening. We phoned are order in so we weren’t hanging about waiting for food they said the food would be ready in 15 minutes,when we arrived we still had to wait another 10 minutes as it wasn’t ready. When we got home the food ( chow mien)was over cooked and mushy,the soup was cold and the prawn crackers were soggy and chewy and to add insult to injury when we checked the menu that we picked up on are visit we had been over charged.wont be going again.

Probably the worst Chinese I have ever had, on arrival I ordered my food and 3 times the lady serving got my order wrong not only this she had the cheek to start getting all high rate with me even though it was clearly there mistake. Not to mention they over charged me. Once I took my food home we opened it and the plate was thick with grease and the chicken we ordered was not cooked in the middle! It was inedible honestly avoid at all costs I won’t be returning.

Food quality not great, very fatty and soggy. 3 items didn't arrive, including the fried rice. I did call to give them the opportunity to rectify this but they didn't care. Won't be returning.

Top quality food good value for your money u even get FEE chicken and sweetcorn soup for free with every meal u buy I went there ask for my special curry to be made hotter they add chillies in it for free I got 4 meals got 4 free soups u will not be disappointed the is only 2 chippys I use in widnes and that's my mail one a ******** food

Best Chinese I’ve been to. Food come in 25 minutes, got over £35 worth of food and not one thing wrong with the order. Delivery man was the sweetest person ever, would highly recommend! Only downside is cash only

Use this chippy nearly every weekend,,set meal for 1 feeds me and my fella ,,always red hot ,have tryed other meals and hot and sour soup in lovely never had a rubbish meal ,keep up the nice food well done and the drivers always happy to see you ,,,

The salt and pepper dish really soggy. Rice never come to me. Deliver time take over one hour deliver to us, have to order again from the other chippy ,won’t order from here again.

Eat from here all the time and it's always great never a bad meal, the sweet An sour chicken is lovely my Mrs faverite is the salt An pepper crispy chicken they always put extra garlic in hers she loves it!

I thought my chips were not in the bag so questioned the staff member. She answered as if I hadn't ordered chips then checked my receipt and was proven wrong. She took a carton out my bag presuming it was fried rice and replaced it with chips. I got home and served my Husband his meal with chips and then realised I had noodles instead of fried rice. I rang the chippy to let them know I was on my way back for a replacement meal. Then my Husband told me his chips were disgusting, under cooked, very pale and mushy. So I rang them back again to say his too needed replacing. When I turned up I handed the bag over the counter to the Assistant and she snatched it off me with some vigour. Everyone in the shop couldn't believe it. I couldn't understand what she was saying as she was speaking her native language but the one thing I can say is she wasn't happy. So as I felt so embarrassed in front of a full shop I just said to the her.... Forget the replacement order, you are obviously stressed and busy and can't cope. I don't want to wait, can I have a refund. Even the cash refund was given back to me with no comment. This is not the first time this chippy has got a wrong order. It really is the last time I will go. If the staff were apologetic and nice I would have accepted their error in good faith

Ordered chicken fried rice chips and curry as a delivery. It was very bland and tasteless won’t be ordering that again

Myself and my wife had food from here the other weekend and the experience was one of the worse we have ever had! The food took over 2 hours to arrive and when it did it didn’t get any better. My chicken and sweet corn soup didn’t have any sweet corn at all and only had 1 piece of chicken so was more like a chicken stock soup! My wife’s chicken and cashew nut main didn’t have any cashews either! So as you can imagine we wasn’t impressed. Stay away if I was you and spend you money elsewhere

We have been going to this chippy in Page Lane now for years and never ever had a bad meal from here. We now get delivery and the little chinese man knows we're genuine and greets us with "Hello luv".We have several meal which we like, chicken curry, chicken and mushrooms, salt and pepper chicken, singapore chow mein,combination starter, hot and sour soup, and the noodles! Although £1 extra are to die for. We usually get a meal each, 1 with fr, 1 with noodles, and a bag of chips and to be honest, does 2 meals. Wouldn't go anywhere. As chinese man says "thanks luv"

Love this place! Never had a bad meal. Ask for the hot and sour soup instead of the chicken and sweetcorn you get free with your meal. It's an extra pound, but it's well worth it!

Not the best takeaway I have had and seem to wait for ages, there are better in the area, that said people seem to like if looking at their reviews but sadly not for me.

Never had a bad meal from here, cheap too! Recommend the duck and mushroom, it's absolutely delicious. Staff are friendly too, and the place is always busy. Tells you everything you need to know!

No ha sido aquí en mucho tiempo, era una reunión familiar y más votado para ir aquí, así que sin duda es la mejor opción. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran tan grandes que si alimentamos a 3 personas. Los tamaños de porción de todas nuestras comidas donde lo suficiente para alimentar a una persona extra, (uno come feliz esposo para 4). La comida estaba caliente, sabroso, y llegamos a tiempo. Se duda volveremos.

Dinner for four (4) promptly brought to our door - with portions enough for five (5)! The soups where phenomenal. The entrées were great. Crisps, dumplings, everything was awesome!

Always order from here. Chinese dishes are boss. also fair prices and nice staff. would recommend there salt and pepper chicken wings or barbecue ribs. Also there noodles are power.

i always get singapore fried rice and curry sauce from here and it never fails to be spot on.

Pasamos 36 libras en la víspera de Año Nuevo, ya que nuestra "fish and chips" local estaba cerrada. Dulce y amarga pollo tenía como media botella de vinagre, se podía oler una milla. El olor tomó estás aliento. Sal y pimienta de patatas fritas eran tan salada, tuve que tomar 2 vasos de agua y no podía comer nada más sabroso toda la noche. Me gusta salada en mi comida, pero esto fue horrible. Vermicelli era picante. Por favor, evita las patatas dulces y picantes ácidas y si no pedir desde aquí pero mejor pasar estás dinero en otro lugar. Feliz año nuevo Año Nuevo resolución no es para pedir desde aquí de nuevo

En primer lugar, creo que mucha gente se están haciendo esto llevar mezcladas con el restaurante de similar nombre en Widnes town centre. Esta es la distancia en página Lane! Ahora que es arreglar con la crítica!

Went with my partner on a Saturday evening, we got there to a packed kayotic restaurant with off larger! We both went for some food but to our surprise there was nothing replenished!! I explained to management who cleared our bill and asked us to return another time.... That won't be happening

We went for the mid day buffet. We were met with a friendly greeting and were well looked after without being intruded upon. The buffet was fresh, tasty, well cooked and constantly replenished. It was good value for money and we will return

We had a great time - food and drinks was fine we had a great time, we will visit again you will or should not be disappointed.

An excellent choice of food with very good flavours. The cost of each meal was very reasonable and if you get there early enough in the evening they also give you free soup!By the number of people in the shop it is very popular in the area.

But the chips are awful. They really have gone bad lately and spoil any meal you may have with them. The meals are usually good but all in all i cant praise this place the way i used to a year or two back. Pity!

I have eaten from here for many years now and the food is always consistent. I highly recommend the deep fried chicken with garlic in chilli sauce (No.129) with half chips half boiled rice. You also receive a free chicken and sweetcorn soup with the meal which is a bonus!

The service was fast and friendly and the food was very good
