The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Swindon South West

When I ordered my food the delivery time seemed a bit long, however it was delivered within the time frame but it wasn't hot, lukewarm at best, I had to pop it in the microwave, I only live 1.9 miles from the takeaway! did he walk???

We have been going sporadically there for 28 years and though it has never been in the top couple of Chinese restaurants we have been to it was always reliable and pretty good value. Before this month the last time we visited was a couple of years ago and unfortunately with a similar result. I can't fault the service which was friendly and efficient. The starters are pretty dry and unimpressive. Thankfully we had a soup which was good and helped matters. I also presume that many people love it as could not believe it was virtually full by 7pm in the middle of the week. Even from 5 years ago the food has gone downhill but maybe the amount of customers to serve has affected the quality.

Firstly let me add I am Vegan, and luckily in this day and age, it is very rare to have a problem getting something decent when eating out no matter the restaurant. However, there were barely any vegan options at all! I had a plate of Pak Choi (so overcooked and dripping in what looked like slug juice) and broccoli with a few luke-warm chips. The only vegan pudding was some fruit. All that for £20.99. Genuinely the worst meal of my life! As for the staff, the main guy that dealt with our table was so rude he clearly didn't want to be there. When they wanted us to leave they literally told us to leave (we'd been there 1h 40mins - not sure what the limit is) and I swear they put the cold air-con on as it suddenly became freezing cold. For balance, there were 6 of us at the table and I was the only vegan. Everyone else said their food was 'ok'. But personally, this was honestly the worst eating out experience I have ever had in my life. As for cleanliness, my table was sticky and when I went for a wee, my legs were slowly spreading apart on the greasy floor.

Came here last night, was staying nearby and read some good reviews. Well I have to say...food was outstanding, service and welcome was lovely...don't expect a fancy resturant as its not that, but the food was fresh , tasty and plenty of it. Extensive menu and they were all so friendly and accommodating. Value for money, second to none! Would have paid triple for what we had somewhere else!

Always great food from here. We have lived locally for over 10 years now, and have a takeaway every month or so as a treat. This place has never disappointed in all the time we have lived here. Fresh food, tasty and so moorish. We are blessed to live in a place that has so many good food outlets. Lee.

Food was terrible, chow mein was mushy and tasted of nothing and the chicken balls looked and tasted like they been refried a few times, would not recommend and we will not return.

Unfortunately food here is not the best. Food overcooked or soggy with little care for customers experience. I would not order from here again.

This food was absolutely disgusting my husband’s chow mein looked anemic. Had to throw it away . I ate a bit of my salt and pepper chicken because I was hungry but I now feel sick! Waste of money . Never again!!!

If I could give a minus review I would. Food arrived late. Rice was so stodgy and overcooked. When I called for a replacement I was met with the offer to refund but no replacement (meaning all I had was some chicken....not exactly a meal!) when I asked for replacement they said I'd have to pay for delivery again....I don't think it's unreasonable for an error to be corrected at no extra expense to the customer. Manager refused to talk to me so had to speak via the counter assistant who, when I politely argued my point (I never raised my voice and I empathised entirely with how busy they must be) she hung up on me. I called back thinking it was a mistake but they just hung up straight away proving it was intentional. They then refused to answer my calls. I've had no refund and by the time the ordeal was over (not sorted) the chicken was cold. Appalling "service" and I will not be ordering from here again. I strongly advise others to avoid as if anything is wrong, they will do nothing to correct it.

The dj's were TERRIBLE all they did was take a famous song and add a terrible dnb remix to it. every song was the same. Every song was terrible. They should be sacked

The takeaway we had tonight was dreadful. We have travelled extensively, including China, and this was the worst Chinese meal we have had. The crispy duck was not a full portion and was more like duck scratchings . The box it came in was about half full and contained burnt bits of duck. The quality of the food was very poor and we put most of it in the bin. We will never purchase food from the outlet ever again although we live very close. The takeaway is ripoff - don’t get caught out.

Placed a takeaway order and asked for egg fried rice, got sent boiled rice which was stodgy and in clumps. Also ordered the honey chicken which was hard and chewy plus old. Also had prawn crackers, can of coke which came to about £19.00 so would like a refund. Miss C Pember

Always prompt with delivery. Great food, Great Price and Great Service. Cannot fault. Highly recommend when you want to have a night off cooking.
