Covingham Fish Bar in Swindon

This food was absolutely disgusting my husband’s chow mein looked anemic. Had to throw it away . I ate a bit of my salt and pepper chicken because I was hungry but I now feel sick! Waste of money . Never again!!!

Had Two chinese meals and it was Awful Was really hungry and meal was so salty and the other was too sweet Never Again

Chips were better today. Nice and crispy. The fish was a rip off. Batter with the thinnest fish inside. Don’t they realise, look after your customers and they will return.

Pulled out two strands of hairs from my mushroom curry tonight which nearly made me throw up - would avoid this place at all costs until they've had a food inspection but this has put me off for life.

Love this local chippy, food is always great and is reasonably priced considering the portion sizes! The staff are friendly and the range of food on offer is brilliant! Definitely recommend!

Excellent quality Chinese food. Great improvement on our last visit several months ago. A previous review mentioned change of management which could explain the improvement. We’ll definitely be using them again soon.

We had beef chow mein and chicken and cashew nuts. Excellent quality, good taste and super noodles. A huge improvement on occasions in the past. Pleasant staff and good phone ahead order system. Worth a try.

Having tried most Chinese takeaways and restaurants in Swindon, I can easily say their special fried rice has been consistently the best I have had in Swindon. Their sweet and sour dishes as well as the pork dishes are very good. Worth the visit.

Best Chinese takeaway food always fresh , hot and tasty we tried many others but always go back to this one. Very friendly too

Great take away came in 20 mins. Order all right. Only thing is bad chips but my boy loved them. Ordered a mix of dishes came to less than 35 for four people

We have been customers here for many months and enjoy the quality of the good value food., what never lets us down is the cheerful and helpful attitude of the staff which means we come back again and again. Super all round.

I tried this fish and chip shop after my local preferred chippy closed. I was deeply disappointed. The fish was small and covered in way too much soggy and oily batter. The chips were at first the re-heated crispy bits which I just managed to spot and ask for better. I got fresher but not much better, The chips were too greasy, lacked body and were a perfect complement to the similarly wet fish, Not somewhere I would be returning any time soon.

Have been going to this takeaway for around six years, since regularly visiting and now living in Swindon. Fab Fish and Chips - Champion Chinese Food. All fairly priced, friendly service, no need to go anywhere else , for our takeaways.

the staff are very pleasant and friendly, chips were not the best, too many hard or black bits ,i asked for smaller portions as we always throw to many away,but they just laughed and filled them t to the brim any way.

Only ever had Fish & Chips from here before but called in and grabbed a Chinese Takeaway as fancied something different.Didn't order ahead so had to wait a while but it was worth waiting for and it was very nice and there was plenty of it, so good value.
