Wasn’t good as consumer was making me feel uncomfortable as a woman asking me about my pregnancy and personal questions Manager offsite basically said nothing they can do mindless complementing kids meal Was not happy at all felt unsafe as a pregnant woman about to give birth

Food is reasonable. We have gone here many times over the years, but the menu never seems to change but the prices keep going up. Mind you, there is not much competition in Swindon, so you can't blame them...

My first time here, it's been easy parking, good services and good atmosphere near the lake. The food is good, the starters and main were better than expected and experiences compared other London buffet places. Definitely recommend this place. It's best to have a few items and a good selection of choice on a plate rather than dumping all in one go. Dessert not so many options and could improve there.

Food was cold and cheap ingredients. Sweet selection small and tasted awful. Very expensive , cost us near 50 pounds for 2 people drinking only water. Glass on lemonade was 3.50, won’t go again

Good for people who like to pick and choose their plate of food.

Yummy food with plenty of options and cool decor. There was even a candyfloss guy, which was pretty cool. The dirty plate robot is in desperate need of recalibration, he almost knocked over a table next to me but I got up in time to prevent the table falling and the glasses of the couple (who were off filling up plates) spilling everywhere.

A Thursday night meal after 5 using £5 vouchers was pleasantly catered for by smiling staff and great selection of Chinese food cooked to perfection. Robot tray collector is entertainment for kids, and good selection of tasty foods entertainment for all. There was variety of dishes from spicy to savoury and s griddle where you can find shredded duck and meats cooked to your liking. Overall. best all you can eat Chinese I've been to because of quality of selection and yummy food to eat.

The restaurant is pleasant enough with good food at a reasonable price but walking past the slop bucket and dirty dish stack to get to your table, isn’t great. The service friendly and timely too. A big negative is the mens bathrooms; the last time I was here they weren’t great but this time they were disgusting. See picks. Bottom line I would come again but if the bathrooms are in that kind of state again , it will be my last visit.

This is the third visit to HongXin Oriental Buffet. Food was really good as always. Lots of variety and all fresh and hot. Staff were very attentive and cleared away our dirty plates very quickly. Will definitely be going again.

Most of food were oily and sweet. Completely different taste from other Chinese buffet restaurants.

This place has always been an average venue for Chinese food not brilliant but OK. Tonight we visited for the first time in months and it was very poor. Lots of Chinese looking food but not much in the way of Chinese tasting food you know that thing that it is not possible to recreate that authentic Chinese “something”. That was sadly lacking. The kids favourite nuggets, sausages and chips were probably better. Won’t be going back. It feels like it’s on its way out.

Such a lovely settings, food is great and so are the staff.

Food was good but attendant hardly speak English and the environment was a bit dull. Maybe a change in decoration and definitely change the ripped seats. They don't look nice.

Been here a few times when visiting family in Swindon, there isn't a massive selection of food but what they cook they cook well always lived coming here and will definitely come back in the future, don't be out of by me saying there's not a massive selection there's still a lot of food there

Visited for dinner midweek. Food very dry or it sodden wet.. Overpriced badly cooked rubbish food.. Tasteless.. overpriced.. food.

We were competing to fight the next day so this restaurant provided everything we desired. Good choices, clean areas and great service. Satisfaction!

Does what is says on the tin and does it very well

The food was ok, service ok, price ok for Sunday , restaurant clean and atmosphere very nice. Around desert need more variety,for Sunday very less. Bathroom not very clean needs more attention, location nice parking plenty.

Quite limited at lunch time now. They've turned off the chocolate fountain with the marshmallows etc. also no longer do the duck and pancakes at lunch time. But disappointing for the price you pay

Got a takeaway box last night after not eating anything all day yesterday so was looking forward to it , I’m now suffering today with the worst stomach with sickness and had to take the day of work. They do need to have fresher food on rotation.

Good tasting food could be hotter. The staff are great, very fast and kind. The whole restaurant/buffet area is clean and tidy, usually there is a cleaner constantly keeping things tidy which is nice to see! The food and buffet experience is worth the price they charge. The drinks are reasonably priced too.

Great options, although I found that the floors were fairly slippery underfoot and our drinks took a while to arrive. Our drinks order was also incorrect when it did appear at our table. The crispy beef was also cold when my step father helped himself to a serving ... Not great. For the price, I would expect much better. Good points? Great seafood and vegetarian options, allergens etc were clearly labelled.

It always annoys me children are charged adult prices because of their height. Food was ok, I wish they would change their menu regularly but they don't. Not a brilliant choice at lunch time.

A complete rip off paid for three adults because one grandchild is tall for his age not a problem!!! The food was sparce not a very good selection didn't get offered a drink had to go looking for someone to take the order after finished main course headed for the deserts absolute disgrace, Dolly mixtured chocolate buttons,a quarter filled minute cup of jelly fresh fruit and sultanas a Swiss roll the bill was just shy of £80 ,after getting scored a very low hygiene rating and getting there act together thought we would go back .I expect a lot better

We have been going to this restaurant over 20 years. This is the best value Chinese 🇨🇳 restaurant around Swindon. Please take some of the negative comments on pinch 🤏 of salt. You have to go and experience yourself. Staff are friendly and you will enjoy the foods.❤️❤️❤️

Do not go if you have ANY food allergies or intolerances as they do not cater for it. All foods including rice state gluten, hence no gluten free. The one star review is purely based on this and not the food quality etc, as my son loves the food here. Disappointed as previously they had GF dishes available.

This place needs to smarten up. Floors very sticky - are the kitchen floors the same!! Tired upholstery. Food just warm and not fresh. Not a good experience. Won't be returning.

Food was good, a little pricey to go on a weekend but much better prices for lunch or weekday. Chairs could do with a refresh as a lot of them are starting to wear out. This isn't the first time I've been there and it won't be the last. I always enjoy this place when I fancy it. Missed the lemon chicken today though :(

We Just got over food poisoning after eating at this place after being told by mates to avoid this place. I should have listened and am paying for not doing so. Just seen the food hygiene rating for this place and not surprised, it should be a 0/5 not 3/5. Never again... Ever

On this occasion, we were disappointed with our visit. We dropped in for a late...ish lunch, plates were cold, food on the servery was cold. Being a Sunday we were anticipating it being busy, however it wasn't. Additionally, their prices were, much higher per person, vompaired to other days of the week, and the food is exactly the same!!!! When we left we inquired as to why the good was tepid and not hot like we experienced on previous occasions. Were advised to take from the bottom of the dish if we wanted hot food, being a buffet they were not obliged to maintain hot food, as long as they maintained 60°, according to food hygiene standards. Will probably visit again in the future, but will not be rushing back. If you are intending to visit, go with an open mind, but don't expect a 'Wow' factor, it's a place where you get something that is perceived as chinese/cantonese but tailored for the english pallet.

Worst Customer service experience ever from a chinese takeaway - AVOID at all costs. This is what happens when you order takeaway from a Buffet restaurant - you get the left overs- Health and safety inspectors should pay this place a visit. I have just made an order giving in clear instructions in writing and via a call to confirm the notes i had made for my dish order. Not only was this confirmed in 2 ways but the call taker clearly could not be asked to get the order right. I have been a customer for over 8 years and have seen the decline in service and standards at this place. I even called up to ask how come they still managed to get the order wrong and the guy couldn't be asked to admit what had happened, he actually played dumb like he did not know what i was talking about, such level of incompetence. Why would i ask for a dish with ingredients I told you I cannot consume and you now lie to say i said it would be Ok? Would someone with peanut allergy ask for a dish with peanuts in it, and then confirm on a call to say that it would be OK to add peanuts? Seriously. The guy even said it was ok I can order from somewhere else, and had the audacity to say it wasn't his fault, let alone accept he could not be asked to get the order right. That just goes to show the lack of job satisfaction whoever that guy is because his customer service skills are non existent and does not sound like he wants to be there, shocking absolutely. I will not be using this Chinese take away again nor will I be visiting the buffet with anyone i know after this and will not recommend this place to anyone, the standards are absolutely terrible now. A Previous order had even been served with old or bad meat in the Pancake roll, and advise everyone to be careful ordering from here. When this guy said they cannot make the dish in the way I requested which i know they do as this is how i had always had it in the past, the guy said they cannot make it that way, which is quite obvious they are just taking the food already made from the Buffet side of the restaurant and just serving that to take away customers. Anyway it was nice while it lasted, you are right i will go take my business elsewhere where they value their customers and actually COOK the take away food made fresh to order.

We have been very loyal over the years and so many zero rattings but we go back. Last month we went for my birthday. We both felt so unwell and embrassed to admit such a belly ache. It spoiled my birthday as my wife and myself were unwell.

Gorgeous place, with great service and even more delicious food. The restaurant has views of a lake and a green area that's perfect to walk the food off after enjoying the buffet. Parking is free and there's plenty of space. All and all, a perfect spot to stop for a proper, delicious meal.

Good place to stuff your face with a wide selection. Desserts are a little lacking and could be improved with a soft serve ice cream. Overall, it was a good place to fill up cheaply.

They are rude and I thought an adult was 18 not 14 wat overpriced for what you get hardly any choices really gone doen hill going to try the one in town I also asked for small cokes they came back with large so they get more money hardly got a thankyou after paying the bill.

I like the way the area is kept clean. As soon as you arrive, you are greeted by a nice colourful entrance. The seating area was very comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious.

Food standard seems to have gone downhill since I was last in. Most of it was lukewarm, not particularly tasty and not a huge selection. i.e. Sushi was chicken, veg, or crabstick, not a fresh fish in sight. Service was good as usual, but it wasn't too busy. £45 for 2, with a soda water each. The Eton mess almost saved it, but there was hardly any meringue in it.

I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star , worst buffet ever. Bland food , flavpurless , cold , sticky dirty floor , fingerprints and dirt everywhere, dead flies in the menu holders and thick dust , dirty windows , and also found out after our visit that it has a 0 star food hygeine rating !! Shocking ! Needs to be shut down . Feeling sick after our visit . Even my 7 year old daughter complained about the chips which isnt hard to get chips right !!! Stay away !!!!

Just a pig trough of a place.the staff taking plates from your table before we had finished.Quantity yes but quality no,alot of food was stone cold.this place has gone downhill fast.

After eating here (twice) we felt so dry and thirsty, food is far too salty or too much msg added, now I read in local press it got a zero rating on a hygiene inspection, big Improvement needed all round , sweetcorn soup is watery

You can experience a wide variety of Chinese cuisine and delicious desserts 🍨. The quality of the meat 🍖 was 💯 They don’t offer pork dishes which is a pity . Overall it’s a great experience for 18£ pp and eat all you can in one go 😃

After our meal on Saturday night I wouldn’t recommend. Our food was way below standard asked for prawn crackers in the notes and didn’t receive them , bbq ribs were not what they should have been . Very disappointed 😠😩

A much nicer atmosphere than the other Buffett in town and much more convenient for parking as well. We were overcharged which we didn’t realise until we got back, my girl is less than a metre and was charged a higher rate. The range of food is smaller than others but the food is good and the staff friendly. The place could do with a lick of paint and the toilets could have been cleaner but I’ve seen far worse

What a fantastic place, the quality and amount of different foods was fantastic. Although it was very busy on the Thursday during the school holiday, there was no waiting for food.It is an all you can eat buffet. It was a shame some people abused it.
