My local go too for takeaway been coming here since moving to the area, food is always great and hot, prices are very reasonable, staff are polite and friendly l, only down side is the dinner time rush and the line gets abit long but if you phone in advanced you won't have issues, it's really worth the wait either way, Also I've seen a few bad reviews about the food and service here but ive never had a bad experience and I order here at least once a week and have ordered a good range of what they offer from fish and chips and cornish pastys to most things chicken and not once has it been anything less than perfect, if you want good food for a good price, try it out you won't be disappointed, just gotta wait for it to open tonight for dinner now 👍🏻

Great take away, been using then for years since they first opened. Always tasty hot food and plenty of it.

Know Phil and Dee 20+ years always used them there more like friends to us now. Highly recommended

Been twice now both times the food was absolutely gorgeous, I’m a contractor who travels across the uk so I eat in a lot of takeaways, this is right up there in my top 5 Chinese takeaways in the uk, flavours are there food is really fresh and not dripping in oil, so far I’ve had the Salt an pepper ribs,, shredded crispy chilli chicken, fried rice, Singapore chow mein & Salt an pepper chicken, all have been excellent.

Quality food but portion sizes are small compared to competitors in the same area

The best battered fish in Swindon whether you choose Cod, Plaice or Haddock. The batter is just right. The chips are a good measure.

I live about 15 minutes drive away, which is just right when I phone an order. Very obligingly they select white skin plaice for my wife, I prefer the haddock. I always order a small chips which is ample for us and there always some left. Neither the fish or the chips are oily, always prefer to put our own salt and vinegar on at home, prevents the chips going salty, vinegary, soggy. All in all a good meal.

Short changed my girlfriend by £10 she then phoned them soon as she got home and realised. The guy who answered the phone said the lady who served her has now gone home and he will ask her next week. He didn’t take my girlfriends number or any details just ended the phone call. CHECK YOUR CHANGE. CASH ONLY BUSINESS. no receipt given. Chips was way too salty and the chicken was disgusting my £25 order was £35 because of the opportunist who short changed us and refused to take any responsibility. AVOID THIS PLACE

Chips are awful. DO NOT FRY CHIPS IN SOY OIL it is wrong,,,,,,,,,,,, why do it. It does not make sense. Have you tasted the chips?

First time i saw a double takeaway in one premises. Fish and chips and chinese restaurant. Staff are friendly and the food is great. Very affordable food and fast service. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Only down side is its a cash only premises. I would suggest to provide card payment option as we are moving into contactless era.

Chips were stale and the cod was slimy, chewy, and very small. Used to be a great chippie.

Local but first time trying and I’m ashamed I didn’t try sooner. House Special Rice is a great deal with a huge amount of meat and a good portion size, will definitely go again.

It was ok. Huge queue to order then the a long wait while they cook it. Be wary as they will only take cash???

Rubbish not worth the money fish is pre battered from Morrison in boxes that you would buy on the frozen section and cook at home . It was small for the price fish was wet batter was rank and the chips are from a bag also from shop never going there again they can stick it when the sun dont shine

Chinese side is ok, chips are lovely however batter om sausages very sticky and gooey! Its got to be crispy batter!!

The best pancake rolls I have ever tasted.

First off, this food smells great which enticed me in. All looks clean and great but….that fish didn’t deserve to end up like that. Batter so thick and uncooked I swear you could lay bricks with it and the salt and vinegar is at ww2 rations, even though I asked for lots after being asked twice. Only travelling through so will be driving gone hungry

Fish and chips is really good here, staff can be a bit rude at times though. Ignore them and just enjoy the food.

One of the best places…. The people in here are extremely sweet and genuine…. I ordered egg fried rice and curry sauce as a quick lunch meal and it was amazing… definitely recommend to try them and I’ll absolutely go in here again😃

Eldene chinese take away are brilliant . The food is so nice and the staff are so lovely and they remember you when they see you and welcome you each time.

I think Eldene Chinese takeaway is the best, I have been going for years and will continue to go. The food is delicious and all the staff are friendly, polite, helpful and just genuinely lovely people.

Pre order food. Turn up at the correct time to then have to wait an extra 30 minutes. Kind of defeats the point of calling up in the first place. Food isn’t anything special but ok if you can’t be asked to cook. If your in a rush do not use this take away there too busy for there own good.

They do not use contactless payment and i think in this day and age it should be standard rather then putting extra risk on themselves and customers.

They are quite happy in these dangerous Covid times to allow customers into the takeaway who are not wearing masks. The customer was clearly not exempt from wearing a mask as they arrived on a pushbike. We have used this takeaway for many years, never again.

Best Chinese in Swindon! We have been going to Eldene for years. We have gone to other places and some were awful and some are good, in which we still go to from time to time, but Eldene is our go to. The owner knows us and other family members by name and always takes the time to come from the kitchen or serving to come and say hello. Would highly recommend to anyone iys lovely food

Queued up for over 30 mins but they don’t accept card. Could only pay by phone (Apple Pay) obviously dodging tax

Top quality Chinese, some much more adventurous options than the usual affair. Somewhat on the pricier side, but so, so worth it, could recommend anywhere else in Swindon half as much.

Not the best Chinese in town but good enough have used them five times now and no complaints as yet. Good fish and chips ,fish cooked fresh in front of you and not left in hot cabinet pre cooked.

Went in and ordered food, got the chips wrapped first so kindly asked the lady if she could put the chips in the counter to keep them hot, she replied with the pies will be ready in a min, so I said that’s fine but I can’t eat cold chips so could you put them in please, after a few minutes she came over to the till to take for it, had a very bad attitude and was very put out for asking for the chips to be kept warm and didn’t say please or thank you! Won’t be using them again!

Very disappointing, wet batter, strong taste of vinegar, in all the sauces. Curry was looking and tasting disgusting. The Only vegetable in the curry was onions and 2 peas... basically all order was inedible and got thrown away. If there was an option I would give the minus 5. Never will be back.

Friendly staff as always. Quick service. All food you would expect for a typical Chinese takeaway. Food is of good quality. Despite this being Futher away than my local Chinese, I go out my way to go here due to its convenient parking, quality of food and overall standard of the customer service. All I would suggest is maybe seating for customers waiting a long time during peak hours. They do not take card, however, their is a cash point and the Morrisons opposite which is less than a few seconds walk. Location can get very busy particularly on a Friday evening where there will be a longer than usual wait .

I haven't tried all of the Chinese takeways In Swindon, but this has got to be one of the best. On this particular visit I was disappointed that they had run out of pancake rolls, although they did offer to cook me one. Unfortunately I didn't have time to wait so settled for cod instead. Their food is always cooked to perfection. I've never tried anything from the Chinese set menus but other patrons have told me how good they are.

When you spend almost £60 on food, to find items missing, and have to drive back to get them, an apology should be the very least! Incredibly disappointed and will not be returning. 7 people sat waiting to eat, and no ‘we’re sorry this happened’.. avoid!

Great Chinese I use them most Saturdays for Chinese I love to order there option 2 and your able to change one of the items for a extra £1 value for money lovely staff

I don’t believe there is many good Chinese take aways in Swindon but the Eldene Chinese take away is tasty. The food is very nice and cooked well with plenty of choice on the menu. I’m glad I live close, it’s my new favorite take away. Can’t wait until my next visit, keep up the good work.

chips were worst i have ever had from a chip shop dark brown soggy looks like they not cleaning oil or are using some cheap oil

Good quick Chinese, it shows by the queues too. Been for years and always the same. Good selection and can call your order ahead.

Both Chinese meals and fish and chips are great. It can get a bit busy with queues but this is only because it is so popular.

Only used this takeaway twice and on the return visit we were impressed by the quality of the fish and chips. Pleasant serving staff who were well organised and food sensibly priced. We will use it again.

The crispy chilli beef was cloggy, the pieces were far too big and it was NOT crispy at all.

Always very busy due to the good quality if food for a reasonable price. If you are happy to question, sometimes we are not.

So glad that this establishment is still open. The food is Always a great standard and fresh. Service is always pleasant and when I came in with my little boy recently, the two young lads behind the till were really engaging with him.

I didn't even know this little place existed and am very happy I've discovered it! I ordered Vegetable Spring rolls, plain Chow Main, Sweet & Sour King Prawns Hong Kong Style, and Satay Mixed Vegetables. Wow! All very fresh and absolutely delicious. I will 100% be going back. But please bring back the seaweed! It's my favourite :)

Very much hit or miss Unfortunately recently It's been terrible Staff all seen miserable and stressed They seem to give two drops of vinegar and that's your lot

I visited this takeaway due to it being easy to park and access. I option for the Chinese 'option 1' menu deal. I found everything to be very flavourless and bland. It was edible, but not somewhere I'll go back to for Chinese food. The chippy looked good, so maybe I'll give that a try.

Have been visiting here for years both in it's original location and now next to Morrisons, a move that I imagine has proven most profitable as it now has Morrisons shoppers in addition to it's regulars.
