Food was terrible, chow mein was mushy and tasted of nothing and the chicken balls looked and tasted like they been refried a few times, would not recommend and we will not return.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food superb and the service great. The only flaw .... there were no desserts!!!🤗😁😋

Had a take away this evening hadn’t had one for a long time really looking forward to it. Spent a lot of money as had family round. But the lemon chicken was off you couldn’t eat it ,the chilly beef was so thick …. You couldn’t eat it. Rest of the food was ok …. Won’t be ordering from them again

It was bad starters beef fatty duck was burnt tried the spare ribs with capitol sauce they were not ribs just little fatty bits horrible why oh why do they reduce standards whilst increasing prices 1 early evening buffet eat as much as you could chew ??? 1 coke £25 disgusting VFM zero

The best Chinese in Swindon. Absolutely delicious , set meals are good value and always feed extra. Thoroughly recommend the sweet and sour chicken balls + salt and garlic chips

The sweet and sour chicken was so flavoursome, and the crispy chilli beef oh my. A little let down by the egg fried rice, basically plain rice tbh. Really quick delivery to west swindon! My new go to for chinese.

Hardly any Chinese takeaways open due to pandemic and was open for deliveries. Arrived at exact time, person wearing gloves and face mask (deliveroo). Chicken foo young was amazing. Not sure how they did that. Other food (chow mein, special roast pork and rice dishes), was great too and didn't feel loaded with salt like most Chineses... Cost is higher then most, but meal felt extra special and worth it.

This place has the best starter i have ever tasted. King prawns wrapped in bacon are the best thing since sliced bread. I could just eat these all night. They limit you 2 2 plates with about 6 on at a time but these are a game changer. Although all the food was nice i recommended you go just for these.

I called up today to ask for gluten free and there was no reasonable reason given why this has stopped. I spent alot of money here eating here at the place and takeaway. I just want to be treated the same and enjoy food the same and now they dont do gluten free I was told on the phone. There is now no gluten free available by takeaway. I already pay alot of money being gluten free, its double or three times the price. I do wish they would make a law so g f people can eat same food as others. No g f person is trying to make someone feel awkward they just want to eat even if you have a few selections being g f we are limited as it is. I'm very disheartened alot because I have to find places and eat. I spent a hell of alot of money here so I dont understand why this is and issue. A good place will accommodate there customer allergy or no allergy so disappointed.... they need make more places for people with allergy thanks. You lost a customer who spent alot of money and a good place will accommodate there customers regardless. I dont understand why you cant accommodate your customers I hope this your services improve as I loved this place... thanks for the major disappointment. I hope another Chinese or Japanese place can make gluten free for me back to home cooking again thanks.

Ordered a takeaway, read the order back and checked numbers with man on phone, was told it would be an hour. Hour and a quarter later we had to ring to chase. Told it would be 5 minutes. 10 minutes later it arrives. Immediately notice we had no mushroom rice which we had ordered and paid for (we also checked the total bill against the menu) husband phoned to be told we hadn’t ordered rice, when we were adamant we had they said they would send rice but we would have to pay! Ummm we had already paid for it! When husband argued the man hung up. Absolutely appalling customer service. Rest of the meal wasn’t great either. Crispy lamb totally overlooked. Will avoid in future!

Went here Saturday night for a birthday party, it was £22.50 a head, not including drinks or pudding etc, this was apparently an ‘all you can eat’ type restaurant, most of us left hungry! You order what you want to eat, but then no one else in your party can order the same as you’re supposed to all share each other’s. Bearing in mind it was a works do and partners etc were there none of us felt particularly close in terms of sharing each other’s food so straight off the mark this made for an awkward evening. The floor was terrifying! Especially in the toilets, genuinely as slippy as an ice rink. But literally the entire floor was a massive hazard. No lock on the toilet in the girls, the hand dryer I think may have been the same model available in 1993, didn’t dry your hands at all, last thing you need when you’re grabbing onto things trying to avoid slipping over, wet hands! As for the quality of food, I was say average/poor. The noodles were ok, but the prawns were soggy and sorry looking. I only had to look at them for a minute or so though as someone’s eager fiancée soon had her hands on them and down the hatch they went, and I didn’t much fancy what anyone else had ordered so I just waited to see if there were anymore courses. Turns out it’s just a starter and a main, which was valued at around £14-15 in total so they made a killing charging us so much! It was so incredibly loud and crowded in there, no chance for any kind of conversation, the people at the table next to us weren’t put off though, they continued to yell at the top of their lungs for approx 2 hours so I’m glad they at least enjoyed their evening. It is extremely claustrophobic in there, you feel like a load of sardines crammed in a tin, the venue itself is like a fairly small basement area. Getting to the bar was a real challenge, bearing in mind you had to ice skate there while avoiding so many hot and sweaty people who were also fighting their way to getting a drink. All in all, it was a horrible, unenjoyable, over crowded ridiculously loud, uncomfortable, downright dangerous and disgustingly over priced evening. Couldn’t wait to leave! Avoid at all costs on a Saturday evening!!!

Ordered taster 2 sushi set for takeaway and was completely disappointed: fish content was no more than 10% of the overall weight. Tasted like plain rice for £11.20. Not much difference comparing to supermarket sushi sets.

They took over a fantastic independent japanese restaurant on this site that was always full to capacity. This version now has rarely has more than 2-3 customers. Says it all really If you like monosodium glutamate and bland chinese dishes might be oK for you.

A great setting for some traditional chinese. Food. Great selection, well cooked and great friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Love the duck and the vegetable rolls.

The meal itself was incredible, the food all piping hot, tasty and worth 5* but the amount of tables and people crammed in meant that the noise level was extreme, I could not hear anything anyone was saying at my table, and I have excellent hearing. I will not be back.

Fantastic food, I was on a food high for the rest of the day after the taster sushi. My wife had the chicken noodle broth which was amazing.

Really enjoyed the taste of the food, it's a little more expensive than some other takeaways, but worth it for the quality

Decided to give this a try whilst we were in town. Didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly, didn't have to wait long for the food. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and we decided to get a mix of a few dishes. Everything got cleared up. Would recommend.

After being recommended Rendezvous Express by several people I know I thought I would send for take away instead of using my usual preferred one which is Eat well Chinese take away.I decided on the set meal for two people for £19.80 + £1 deliveryMini spring rollsSweet and sour chicken Pork with spring onion and gingerBeef with mushroom in black bean sauceSpecial fried rice.When the food arrived there were 5 Mini pancake rolls (cheapo frozen variety soggy uneven number not worth eating anyway). The mains were full of veg to bulk them out accompanied by meat that was in razor thin shards and the sauce was like water the result being when you served the food the sauce collected in a puddle on plate. The sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style was a mass of lumps of onion and chunks of peppers with just a gesture of battered chicken pieces again the sauce was like water. If you look at the menu for this establishment all the prices are more expensive than other Chinese take away premises in Swindon a very steep £6.25 for sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style the higher prices are not justified as the food is not Michelin star qualityMr Mok who is the owner of this place plus a big plush place in the old town of Swindon with a nightclub on site has shown me with the food I was served last how he lives so well as when you consider the meat content I would say that the bulk that he buys food in the whole lot I had last night cost no more than £4 to produce proving my justification of the use of this pieces title I would say!!! Anyway. Back next week to Eat well Chinese take away. Plenty of meat and nice sauces.

Great to go to a restaurant that caters 100% for Gluten free Chinese. massive selection from Crispy Duck in gluten free wraps and all the normal dishes like Sweet & Sour but with the meat in a batter. Gluten free lager (Peroni) is on sale so its all there.Lovely staff so I would recommend

Omg what can I say! It was outstanding! I haven't been able to have Chinese for over 2years! & to have a restaurant that offers it in Swindon is a dream come true! So when I won a taster session I was over the moon & it did not disappoint! There was so much for us to try & it was all amazing! I definitely recommend it for anyone that is gluten free & likes Chinese!

I've ordered loads of times from Rendezvous Express and it's always perfect! Food tastes great and portion sizes are brilliant. Love both the Chinese and Japanese menu!! Delivery service is always on time. I've also eaten in and staff are always assertive and very friendly. Highly recommend ✅

Tried this restaurant for the first time for their takeaway services. Omg the best ever. Piping hot on arrival, flavours are wowzers, and generous portions. Will eat in next time. I cannot recommend this enough. Thanks xx

This is my third time I visiting Rendezvous, its very well situated I could park my car in Regent Circus without any problem, staff is very helpful and friendly every time a very nice experience.... Well done guys
