The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South East

I've travelled all over the world, and the Yantze restaurant has provided some of the best food and dining service I've ever had. The staff at the yantze have always been kind and caring, delivering the best service, and even surprised me with a memorable conversation from a few years ago, about the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe book series. As you embark on your well-deserved retirement, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful dining experiences you've provided for myself, my family, and my friends. I wish you the very best. 多謝 and 谢谢 for the countless meals and memories.

Absolutely lovely, huge portions , hot not greasy and not packed out with a million onions , really enjoyed our food will be our regular Chinese from now on

Review for the Little Palace takeaway.Very friendly and efficient lady took my order over the phone. I had special delivery instructions which were followed perfectly and with no fuss.The food turned up within 45 mins, piping hot, good quality and absolutely delicious. Not the cheapest Chinese takeaway in the area but probably the best!

Wait time was a fictitious estimate and such a long wait for a weeknight. Chips are great for a Chinese. Everything else is really basic British Chinese takeout - nothing stands out for flavour, quality or portion size.

Out of the blue, the owners of this fabulous restaurant have decided to retire and the Old Shanghai won’t be getting any older under their management. So it was that a large number of regulars managed to get a table booked to give them and their extended family (including 2 grandchildren – part of the decision to retire, I suspect) a good sendoff. Usual great service, usual great experience but sadly, for the last time. I think the majority of diners were ordering one of the festive meals and no point is commenting on the food as the restaurant closed when the last person left. From all in Olney and surrounding area, Alan and Mei, have a great, long and happy retiral - you will be missed.

We have been going here for years as it's relatively local. I also order delivery from other Chinese Take aways so I'm neutral. My daughter however, only likes egg fried rice from this place.....trust me that I've tried everywhere in the Banburyshire area. She only likes this one. Good portion sizes and always hot. I deducted 1 star as no delivery service - that for me is a major inconvenience and why I keep trying top fob my little one on other places egg fried rice options. Personally I like to mix things up but daughter likes what she likes. Really friendly service and quick also.

Best Chinese Takeaway by far in Reading.

Kept repeating details as was too focused on listening to people in the shop. Took far too long to order

BBQ ribs were not bbq, beef chow mein was tough meat and no flavour with the chow mein. Will not go there again

First time ordering from here. Couldn't fault. Easy to order, great delivery and large hot portions. Many thanks.
