Kam Too in Gosport

I've used the Kam Too, Brockhurst road Gosport for around 50 years! It has always been a top class take away!

Went in and ordered sweet n sour chicken balls , chips and a plain chow mein.greeted by a friendly polite woman who took my order and I asked if I could pay by card and I could.only waited 10 mins max for my order.cycled home and the food was still piping hot and very nice.portion size was good too.ive used this place a few times over the last 6 months and it has always been good.ive seen this place hasn't had alot of up to date reviews so I thought I'd comment.my mrs ate her half, sat back and just looked at me with a smile and just said " maate!" .totally satisfied and both with full bellies .thanks for a nice meal kam too 😋

It's been years since I used this take out when living in Gosport Moved back and thought yes it's still here it's going to be great How wrong was I. Very disappointing. The chow mein had no sauce and was very bland no flavour at all. One mouthful was enough. Even tried giving the fog the chicken but he wasn't having any of it. The chicken and sweetcorn soup was sweet as in sugar sweet so didn't have that either My OH had Kam too special curry and fried rice. The rice wasn't fried it was gloopy and stuck together and the curry was just like packet curry sauce added to pieces of meat!! I ended up just eating the chips although were over salty it was better than the rest of the meal Will never use Kam Too ever again. Think it will be a long while before I even want to try a Chinese take out again!!

This was always the absolute best Chinese takeaway in Gosport for years and years. But when the management changed, the quality was greatly reduced. However, I thought I would give it another try and was pleased to find that the standard is now much better. King prawn curry and chicken curry were both nice and spicy. The mini spring rolls were a bit overdone but still perfectly edible. Staff very friendly.

Just finished a very ordinary special fried rice. Not as good as it used to be this take away. Lots of meat, mushrooms but very small prawns and the sauce looks decent but adds nothing to the dish. Feel a bit let down, used to love this Chinese take away as a young man. Won’t be back I am afraid. There are better ones around.

After months of not using this take away as it went down hill, had a lovely meal from there last night, crispy duck cooked just right, curry was spot on. Will definitely be using as our regular take away from now on .

Family takeaway was lovely, food was very hot, tasty and nowhere near as greasy and hot as other Chinese takeaways we have bought from in Gosport. We stopped going a couple of years ago as it went downhill but decided to try it and will be ordering again. The lady who served us was very friendly and we got a rice dish thrown in for free, which we didn't realise until we got home, what a lovely gesture.

This place use to be the best take away in Gosport by a country mile. NOT NO MORE.. Since the original owner left a couple of years ago this is the 2nd time I've used the place. The 1st time the food was awful, I was told last week that it was under new ownership again and was a lot better. Sadly It's still not good!!! If you like noodles that taste like they have been microwaved and flavourless then you'll love this place. Also when ordering chicken fried rice for £4.90 you would expect it to come in a large tray as all other takeaways do, so I was a bit miffed when I had a small tray for that price. The curry was ok tho.

Kam Too is now under new management. The food is great and service very quick. I have been going to this take away for over 30 years until about three months ago when someone else took over and the food went down hill rapidly. Since 28th February 2016 new people are running it and the food is fantastic.

Not much to say regarding the takeaway, just simply try it, this is the start to the weekend Chinese very tasty and competitively priced 👍👍👍

Almost unfair to comment as this was "our" Chinese takeaway for nearly 40 years, through two generations of family ownership. When open the place was always busy, the food consistently good and they never felt the need to deliver. It remains the nearest. Very soon after the change of management came a change of recipes which was quickly apparent and when questioned we were told "the customers prefer it." We didn't and stopped going and so it seems did a lot of other people. Tried again the other week and all I can really say is the food's okay but it is no longer the best in Gosport.

Value for money. And always lovely and fresh.no complaints at all.As I have had one or two meals here

Lovely best Chinese we've had in gosport. Great food really tasty and all piping hot. Lovely staff. Called and collected.

Very extensive menu and we phoned our order for collection.Very nice telephone manner and the food was ready when we arrived.Large portions and nicely packaged.More than enough for two and extremely tasty.Will go again.

Convenient for me as well as doing the best of my favourite Chinese Dishes, Sweet and Sour chicken, Hong Kong Style, and Crispy Chilli beef, really quick service, always with a smile!

This was once the best Chinese in Gosport unfortunately since it has come under new management it is just not the same the food is not as nice as it used to be.
