Little Palace in Gosport

This is a beautiful little gem of a Restaurant. Immaculate, amazing service and wonderful food. We had a really lovely evening here as a couple and will definitely be back. Highly recommended. Free parking is helpful too.

Great restaurant with top quality authentic Chinese food! Highly recommend it since the quality is excellent and everything tastes fresh and is so aromatic! Not heavy at all for my sensitive tummy. Atmosphere of this little restaurant is so cozy too and parking so easy right in front of the restaurant. My favourite Chinese restaurant and worth driving from Southampton to dine there every time.

We use restaurant on regular basis. Food always been the best. Sadly the experience today was not top quality. Beef in oyster sauce was chewy, bland we normally have oyster sauce, there seemed to be lacking in aroma and taste. Chicken missing flavour of oyster sauce. We cannot exactly say what, but meal was not up to normal standard.

Been in the restaurant and ordered delivery, great tasting food and lovely workers. No complaints from me.

Sadly, our online order, using Food Hub, took over 90 minutes to arrive. I telephoned to chase the order up twice and was just told "we are busy" each time before being hung up. When the order finally arrived, it was luke warm to cold and congealed. Not a pleasant experience which was disappointing and not expected.

Have been going here for well over a year. Food used to be good service is appalling over an hour and a half for delivery food turns up not all the order delivered and cold. Don’t get me wrong delivery driver is lovely the staff at the restaurant not helpful manageress seen to think it’s a joke when you complain. Will no longer have our custom.

I was very disappointed by ordering fried rice which was not like usual. Today I ordered fried rice which I felt didn't have the usual taste and tasted dry.

I have just had the following trying to treat my partner who was in the cardiac ward in QA since Monday a very trying time Chicken noodle soup. Nice Beef chow mein dry felt like leftover noodles beef chewy and dry Chicken Hong Kong style chicken nibbles dry and reheated sauce stronger than Mike Tyson Special fried Rice. Not that special. But the thought was there. Pancake roll cold and greasier than John Travoltas hair this is by far the most disappointing Chinese meal I have ever had. I feel sorry for the young man who delivered cold sad and very tasteless

Banging Chinese every single time! Never missing items and always piping hot. Always get take out, takes around 15-20 mins but well worth the wait. Lots of vegetarian options. Mushroom chow mein is lovely.

The best Chinese food in Hamphire. So delicious with service to match. Our family had a great evening.

Ordered a extra portion of water chestnut and bean shoots no beans shoots meat and content of the meal very poor quality, very disappointed with overall meal , really gone down hill in my opinion 🙃 very disappointed

Absolutely amazing place , first time discovering it and blown away by the quality of the food served very quick and friendly staff would 100% recommend this to anyone who wants a good authentic Chinese experience! I had the set meal for 2 and there was so much food for the price, ate the starter so quick I couldn’t take a photo of it before it was gone 🤭. 10/10 would come again just for the atmosphere and 100% the food! Dessert was very nice , not too rich but warm and soft!

Take way contained a long black hair entwined in the food.Didn't eat it as it rather put me off it.

This is without any doubt in my opinion the best Chinese restaurant in Gosport. The staff make us feel very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

Very casual, a lot of sea faring types (including us). Please dont eat too much - easy to do as there is a lot, and its cheap. Eating too much before setting sail has obvious consequenses. Will be back again, as Gosport if a sailing hub, but will manage our amounts properly next time.

First time ordering and the food was amazing. I have struggled to find a decent Chinese in Gosport and now I have found one. Chicken with chilli salt is highly recommended. Delivered in 35 mins too!

Ordered a take away. Delivered to my home. The pork balls included in the £22 delivery were totally inedible. Reported the next day to their website. No9 response. Reported again. No response. Eventually phoned but was told no refund could be made as it was now too late. I explained that my messages had been ignored but to no avail. They used to be good but the standard of their food has gone down. Would not recommend

Friday evening was busy, my Aromatic Duck was disgusting it was warm and over-crispy Not sure what happened to the salmon it was totally tasteless with more batter than fish. The rice was ok. The lady serving was fine. The cost was expensive for small potions plus a 10% service for a single dinner! A real rip-off and not recommended to my worst enemy..beware.

A 45 min delivery was actually 1hr 10 mins. Food arrived cold, the chicken satay skewers looked like something you would serve to a dog. The other food was so cold we had to re heat everything. Havnt used little palace for a few years and have sadly been reminded why. Won't use again in a hurry.

Charming restaurant situated in Alverstoke village. Excellent food, friendly staff and good ambience. Our third visit and will be returning again to try some different dishes.

Lovely food, beautifully presented, all piping hot. Got to love a lazy susan in the table. So pleased to find out they also deliver takeaway where I live.

The food is terrible you could cook better at home for a third of the price

Food is amazing here. It's super tasty and not greasy unlike other Chinese restaurants we've tried. The girlfriend particularly liked the crispy shredded beef. If I could find two faults it's that they don't do salt and pepper chicken wings or give you free prawn crackers but that is being Uber critical. Take out that doesn't take ages to cook. Would definitely recommend. Parking in the village can be a chore so would walk if you can.

Normally good service and food but tonight let them down. Order took 75 minutes to arrive, was cold and some of my order was wrong. Disappointed

We thoroughly enjoyed an evening out with friends, the food was fantastic and the staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly. The owner of the The Little Palace also came out from the kitchen to say hello, a lovely touch to make sure his customers were happy The restaurant was full so booking would be advisable. Excellent food, excellent staff and a fantastic night had by all.

We went here for the first time last night after seeing many positive reviews on line. What an amazing restaurant. The food was perfectly prepared and, unlike many Chinese restaurants, not too heavy. The staff were friendly and attentive. However, the big surprise of the night was the wine. The label was Between Thorns and is easily one of the best restaurant wines I've ever had. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a wonderful meal tonight (Easter Sunday), the food was incredible, the service was impeccable. There was an elderly hard of hearing couple dining there, as they were chatting loudly we couldn't help over hearing their conversation. Their conversation brought tears to our eyes, they spoke about how they both felt when they first saw each other in their teens. It was so charming and romantic. They were ready to leave but the waitress from Little Palace informed them that their taxi had been cancelled but Marshall the restaurant manager would take them home. The kindness thing I have come across in a long time. Can't wait to eat there again.

Ordered on line, food arrived in about 30 minutes. Delicious and still piping hot. Would recommend this Little Palace to anyone.

Our food was delivered cold and the order was wrong. We called back and was told a fresh batch would be sent. It wasn’t only the wrong dish delivered. Well over an hour for delivery. Asked for a refund. They refused. Been using these guys for years. Sad to say I won’t order again.

Exceptional food, we've eaten in the restaurant buyt this was our first take-away. I ordered online, delivery time stated was 45 minutes, food arrived within half an hour. I had the duck, chinese style, my wife had szechuan beef and we had mixed vegetable with cashews plus egg fried rice. I also had crispy spring roll and curry sauce. The quality was outstanding, having been our go to sit in restaurant it's now our number one take-away too.

Long wait got home and the order was not what I ask for and not vary hot will not be going back

Warm & friendly, lovely food, good prices. After 20 years at the same Chinese takeaway, when we moved we were apprehensive to try somewhere new. However, we received a big welcome and we’re pleasantly surprised that the food was even better! Takeaway collections are ready in 10 minutes and the sit down restaurant service is equally as prompt. I would thoroughly recommend this place.

The hosts were very friendly and looked after us well. Food was delicious and well presented! Restaurant was beautifully decorated and seemed to be very clean. We hope to visit again sometime.

Worse experience ever, I've used this place on and off for 20+ years. Food was missing from order, phoned up and was told we have no record of your order. You just delivered it, of course there was an order...i paid over £40 FOR THE ORDER...some food was awful and had to be thrown away inedible.....

Generous portions. Delicious meals. Reasonably priced Friendly staff. We picked up but they also deliver. Will use again, no question.

They're shut at the moment, due to the pandemic, but their good food and friendly service means that we highly recommend them for when they open again.

I had the most appalling takeaway last week .it bears no resemblance to Chinese cuisine , that I have experienced in Hong Kong ,Malaysia. Singapore or for that matter in Chinatown London.

The food from this take away is always to a very high standard, and always delivered promptly and piping hot. I have no complaints what so ever, and have used the place (for delivery) 3 times during lock down.

Really wanted to like this local takeaway. But no....pork balls inedible, just gristle. The rest was pretty tasteless though the vegetables in the prawn dish were fresh. Delivery was good.

Ordered A take away from what can only be described as A circus on Friday night.We were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour but that was fine as we were told.After 1hour, rang up to be told its cooked but awaiting dispatch.After 1and A half hours, rang back and asked if we could get A slight discount due to the wait, but told that was not possible from A most unhelpful man, but the order was dispatched.. We told him to forget it and got fish and chips. Now obviously if you want fast food then you go to the fast food giants, but by the time we cancelled the order we had waited 1hr &35 minutes just for A take away meal.

We came here because our usual restaurant was full and we were not disappointed.I had the sizzling spicy beef and it was excellent and the service was very friendly. Well worth a try.

We had a great dinner there. Food was excellent, everything was carefully made, service was great (and fast). We could discover lots of different dishes through the set menus. Very very nice experience and high value for money.

Very surprised how superb this little restaurant is. We visited family and had a meal before departing back home. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. The waitress was superb, helping our five year old with his chopsticks and making a special napkin for him to take home (he is still treasuring it!).Thoroughly recommended and deserves all five stars.

Love the food from Little Palace and have used this take away for some years. This is also a restaurant so the food is quality. It is popular and busy so order food for delivery and allow a good 40 mins depending on what day of week and time you order but its worth the wait.

We ofter get take out here while visiting the in laws. Number of members of the extended family are Chinese and they swear this place is the real deal. I wouldn't know, but what I do now is that the food is good, the menu has something for everyone and it's very reasonably priced.

This is a world class Chinese restaurant situated in the heart of the hamlet of Alverstoke. Everything about this establishment is first class. Ambiance, spotless cleanliness, lovely service, good position and most importantly, fantastic eclectic Chinese food. We rated the food as fantastic because it is "the real deal". Not simply just Cantonese cuisine, but recipes from different parts and provinces of China. This sets Little Palace apart from most Chinese restaurants that are found in the West. These, for decades have mainly been Cantonese style cuisine. Same old, same old ...It was a refreshing difference to find an authentic Chinese restaurant tucked away in this part of England, Hampshire. The food was wonderful. We ordered dishes representing Szhewan, Cantonese and Beijing (Peking) styles. They were all prepared to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant was positive. Bright lighting as one would experience in the Chinas. With nice authentic decor. The round tables augur for positive interaction with others sharing your table. For more intimate dining they have two seaters. We could not fault this restaurant if we tried. By way of suggestion they need one or two more staff. The two waitrons were very busy and doing everything they could to service the many tables as the restaurant was full. They did a great job, however. Be patient. The quality certainly justifies any waiting ... Little Palace has a takeaway section with a separate entrance. They accept credit cards and cash.

Excellent meal delightful staff

Arrived at local Hotel on a Sunday night too late for the restaurant there. So a short walk away we entered to an empty restaurant. The lady there could not have been more helpful and talked at length about having run the best Chinese on the Isle of Wight for years until moving to Gosport because she missed the mainland. The food was well prepared and tasty too and made for a great meal.

A small but well equipped restaurant with top class service and a varied menu with a good choice of set meals and a very large menu of order as required. Good quality food but not cheap but fare.

Nice place for a Chinese takeaway. Good prices with friendly service. Can get busy at the weekends for delivery times. But also have a restaurant you can eat in.

Staying nearby this was a convenient place to eat. From the exterior I had initially taken it for an Indian restaurant! The staff were great and attentive. The food was excellent with a good choice. Slightly overpriced but nevertheless an enjoyable evening out.
