Lovely family run restaurant. . . Never had a bad experience here . . Highly recommended. . . Just off the main High Street in Gosport

Absolutely gorgeous meal, I will return soon again with friends. Lovely evening out for my birthday.

I ordered prawn crackers and a rice dish that I didn't receive, very disappointed.

I wasn't very keen on Chinese food but was persuaded to go with a couple of friends. I came away with a very different view! Firstly, the service was excellent! For a Friday, it was a quiet evening - only two or three other tables busy. The young lady who served us was very charming and cheerful and she was extremely helpful. I haven't come across this before, but apparently it's not uncommon. The restaurant offers a fixed price menu, and you can continue to order for two hours. The only stipulation is that, once you order a main course, you can't go back to starters. Well, we made a very good meal of it. We enjoyed two or three rounds of starters and then a main course - by which time, I had had plenty! I couldn't fault any of the dishes - the prawn toast was exceptionally good and the main course of sweet and sour pork was nothing like the sweet and sour gristle I'd experienced in other venues. Next time I'm in Gosport, this will be my first choice for a night out - I really enjoyed it! So scoring: Food - excellent, really enjoyed it, so one tick People - our waitress was a lovely girl and did a great job - an easy tick Environment - all seemed clean and comfortable with high-backed booths that deadened sound so another tick Value - My dinner, with three small bottles of beer, was £31 - can't complain at that. Tick Would I recommend/go again - well, yes - tick!

Possibly worst take away in Gosport waited 1 hour and 1hour and 45 mins for bad food

Can't fault anything about this place. You are not rushed and they make sure everything is OK. A lovely relaxing tasty meal.

We arrived just as they were shortly going to shut, but they were great and let us still sit in and eat. Thankyou!

This was definitely the worst meal I’ve ever ordered anywhere! The rice was bland and bulletproof, salt and pepper squid? Well if that’s what you call it I certainly would disagree, frozen rings serve with 2 strips of onion and 3 slices of chilli! Also bland and would serve better as a tyre on my son’s bike!! Crap utterly crap! And if you’re unhappy they will offer you 10% of the next time you order their food 😂

After being disappointed that another all-you-can-eat style Chinese restaurant in the area was closed for Chinese New Year, we found T&Js on Google. It is tucked away off the beaten track and we would never have known it was there if we hadn't searched on Google! It's a bit like stepping back in time inside! It was pretty busy even though it was early on a Saturday evening, which was a good sign. The food was outstanding!! I love an all-you-can-eat menu that is freshly prepared. The crispy aromatic duck was superb. We just kept ordering food till we were totally stuffed! The staff were so lovely and friendly - had some nice chats with the waitresses. The price was brilliant too - such good value for money. I'm so pleased we found T&Js and the other place was closed! Cannot recommend highly enough - we will 100% be returning!

Did the all you can eat buffet menu and the food was surprisingly good! Everything was freshly cooked to order and delicious. The food came out promptly with exception of our final dish which is why I've left 4 stars. The only bad thing was that it was pretty chilly inside the restaurant, and the toilets even colder! 🥶 Would highly recommend, and go back again. Just dress up warm!

Sat here in the restaurant now. Not been here since lockdown. How times have changed. No prawn crackers. Only half the starters we ordered arrived at the table. Not particularly busy but waitress seems rushed off her feet. Should of gone to the great wall. Walked out.

Ok, so although we use T and J as a restaurant, this review is for their take out service. We pre-ordered a take out meal online, to be delivered on New Years Eve. Paid by PayPal online, booked for a certain time (7pm). Was able to tailor each item accordingly to taste online (extras, ingredients added or removed etc)... Friendly and punctual delivery driver dropped off the food on time and with a smile. I must say, even the take out Chinese food from T and J is absolutely awesome.... Tasty, plentiful and hot, it was perfect and I would definitely recommend to anyone. This will be out 'go to' take out Chinese food from now on.

Food generic, staff awesome, all 2 tables had a fun time but no heating so we where all very cold. Toilet light not on. Really was quit bad. But staff where awesome.

Tasted like it had been warmed up. Prawn balls had soggy batter and prawn toast crispy won ton were dried up. Had much better tasting and hotter food from other establishments. Very dissapointed.

We had reserved a table but on arriving preferred a round table so no one left on end. Staff were happy to set up more places and move chairs. Such a relaxed friendly restaurant. Food was very good especially the duck. Service was quick. I wanted to try capital sauce on ribs and asked if possible for just a taster as didn't want to waste food if I didn't like it. They were happy to oblige and tasted lovely. First time visiting and will definitely return.

Although Looking a little tired and in an empty shopping centre don't let that desive you the food is lovely service is prompt and polite would really recommend and would definitely go again

Such a pleasant experience. Staff were exceptionally friendly, service was prompt, food was excellent. They even adjusted a dish that wasn't on the menu. Resounding thumbs up from all 6 of us for the quality and deliciousness! Thank you, we will see you again soon.

Wonderful food and friendly service. The waiting staff are attentive and always happy to chat. We have been many times and have always had a great meal. I especially enjoy the Crispy Duck and my wife swears by the Salt and Chilli Mushrooms. She's a pescatarian and there is plenty of choice for her, and for vegetarians. Cannot recommend enough for dining in.

Just had a take away from here first time, food was delicious and a quick delivery. After trying to find a decent Chinese for so long I have found the one finally! Will be ordering again thankyou really tasty food! :)

The service excellent. The decor, well, don't think this place has had anything done for over 30 years. This isn't a dig but you just gotta see through this and simply enjoy the quality food.

Brilliant service, staff were so warm and helpful. The food was amazing, everything we had was delicious, the background music was wonderful. All in all a fantastic dining experience.. And to top it, in our fortune cookie it said we will find a beautiful new house in the year. Its exactly what I needed to read, as our house is no longer ours, after a house fire. Thank you TJs!

I'd really recommend the breakfasts and it caters well for vegans (including cakes and biscuits) Also has a good beer selection and there's always a good atmosphere.

Very hard to find a good Chinese dine in restaurant. We went here based on the reviews we read online. There was another Chinese restaurant nearby, but the reviews were not good. The food and staff were both nice. I think the restaurant needs a wee bit TLC.

Such a strange little find in a most unassuming corner of Gosport. Could not fault the range and quality of the dishes we chose. Squid was particularly good as was the prawn dish. 5 happy eaters on the buffet option and one a la carte. We will return! Although ser ice was a bit hit and miss. All is forgiven. . These people are delightfully welcoming and mean well. A lovely evening!

Served by a lovely lady called Sarah nothing was any trouble she always had a smile , food was lovely can not wait to return.

....nice meal...however the main was warm..it could of done with the: candle warmers..to keep the food hot! Whatever the event it was nice to see: 'Sarah'...what a fantastic young lady she is...I don't know what she is still doing in: 'Turk Town'..'the world is her oyster'...she is the best young person I have met in hospitality & she can go so far..but I would really miss her at the: T&J!...

Took my children out for dinner, the staff were amazing with them, explaining the menu choices and the children ate so much I had to role them out the door.

Me and my best friend have eaten here loads together the food is unbelievable, all so tasty and fresh. So many options for vegetarians too! And the duck pancakes are our favourites. The waitress who served us most recently was just so sweet and couldn’t do more for us we really had a lovely dinner thankyou x

Another fantastic meal. Salt and chilli chips are amazing along the crisp chilli beef so tasty. The chicken chow mein is so light with loads of meat in it. The staff are always very polite and friendly and Sarah is a real asset with great customer service. All I can say is give it a try, we alway find pick up is better as it cooked in 15mins and if you have to wait you could always have a cheeky half 😆

Absolutley appauling! portion size is a complete disgrace especially for the price.Mixed meat chow mein had 2 prawns in! and an awfully small size. The kong po chicken had more onion than chicken.. Even charge for a bag for delivery..food just was not great at...

What a rubbish place to BOOK a table, it was freezing in there, could not give us any idea of how long the food would be. It was our anniversary and we have been there almost every year and regularly before the new owners. . The air con is still charmingly taped to the ceiling and the poor waitress who was pushed under the bus must have been so embarrassed having to tell us there may be a long wait for you food, but we can't estimate how long. Walked out after half hour Will never go back or order any more deliveries So sad as we loved that place with it's private booths etc.....

We use T&J for our weekly takeaway and their food always arrive hot. Their all you can eat is excellent value for money too with a wide range of selections freshly prepared. Staff are always so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble for...

About a year ago me and a friend worked there for an evening to earn a bit of extra cash. We were appalled by the hygiene in the kitchen and respect from the staff. When we arrived our phones were taken until we finished, we worked 6-11 with no break and then they proceeded to ask us to stay till 12, this is quite concerning considering our ages at the time and we still had to find our way home. We started off by washing dishes and they refused to let us refill the sink when it got cold and dirty, there was no soap. My friend was then made to clean the toilets. We both watched them prepare the food with there bare hands whilst putting noodles into pots, they also moulded the food on the plates with their hands. I didn’t once see them wash their hands and they weren’t wearing gloves and didn’t appear to use any safety precaution. Let’s just say they offered us a meal after and we never went back.

The service was amazing. The staff are always so friendly and lovely. We had great chats inbetween our meals. Such good value for money. The staff really go out there way. The food was great. Thank you for a lovely night. 5 stars from us.

We booked T&J for my husband's 60th birthday meal as a party of 9 and it was excellent, the food was served piping hot and was delicious. We could not find fault with anything that was served to us. The staff were friendly and helpful,...

An under rated gem in the heart of the town with unforgettable food and excellent service. Very quiet between 20:30 and closing time. Still my favourite restaurant in town.

Party of about 40 people with children. We were right in middle of the room with kids playing with balloons around us. Very noisy and the service was really poor. Had to wait half an hour to order next choice of dishes and always had to try to get attention of waiting staff. Food not great and had to send one dish back as it was totally inedible. Will not be returning.

Tried this place with a couple of friends and the service was appalingly slow. The food was so-so as we've had better in other places. We all agreed unanimously that we wouldn't bother with T&J again.

Lovley staff but we got there at 7.30pm never got our main till 9.30pm ment to be all u can eat but you can't order after 10pm and they close at 10.30pm we got our starters in-between the 2 hours food was ok

Avoid the pork at all costs, I was the only one in my family to have it and the only one to get food poisoning. Don't know if it's cheap terrible pork or they don't know how to cook it but it is not safe.

The food was absolutely brilliant, every time I order my usual special egg foo yong and salt and chilli chips it’s always piping hot once delivered but also it’s not too spicy and the chips have a lot of flavour to them. I would highly recommend t and j to anyone if your looking for a Chinese takeout or to dine in as in my opinion it’s the best in gosport.

We have been eating at this place for many years, but tonight we were shocked at the very rude male waiter who rushed us all the time we had only eaten our appetizers , when he cleared the table he returned questioning us about why we didn't eat one rib which was full of grizzle and a tiny chicken wing which he went and got out of bin and bought it back to the table and said we would be charged for what we hadent eaten , how rude we was just about to order more drinks and mains but he spoilt our evening so we paid £56.00 just for appetizers and 2 small beers and left No wonder we were the only customers in there Will definitely not be returning time to find a new restaurant

Been to a few all you can eat very disappointed with our food and only place that makes you pay if you don’t eat everything Took ages for food to come out Kung po chicken was nothing I’ve ever eaten before only had one bit the sauce was thick congealed and the sauce on the ribs was like gravy to the prawn toast was soft and soggy When the bill came out was charged over £210 for 6 adults and 2 kids with soft drinks which does seem expensive plus the tap water had stuff floating in it Won’t be using them again the wall round corner is 100% better

Another lovely meal there last evening from the All You Can Eat menu. Food delicious. Although it was quite busy, service was very attentive. Went there for a birthday meal & with prior arrangement, they lit a cake & sang Happy Birthday which was a nice touch.

Had a lovely evening ,celebrating a friends birthday! Food was beautiful, and we were looked after by a young student, so polite, and chatty too!

Disappointed normally great but this time seemed 'bulked' out with tons of onion and not much else..☹
