Excellent food and excellent customer service 👌🏻 Always the best local Chinese, we have been buying takeaways from here for over 8 years, maybe longer! We will not use any other Chinese takeaway

Had takeaway from here and it wasn't very good at all - A lot of the dishes were overcooked and tough to eat, the chilli crispy beef wasn't crispy at all and was like balls of hard jelly. The batter on the chicken for the sweet and sour was overly thick and almost cake-like in its consistency. Very disappointed in here.

We ordered a take away when questioning about delivery charge as it says orders over £22 in 3 mile radius free delivery was charged delivery when we live in a 2.5 radius spoke about this and woman was rude and put the phone down on me also was eating a spring roll and something in it didn't taste right don't no what it was but looked weird and was like jelly would put a pic on but won't let me

Food was very disappointing. Pork chow mein was nice enough. Crispy shredded beef was half full even though told it was a large portion, also had hardly any spice or taste. Chicken is chewy and hard. Sweet and sour sauce was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted in my life. Very disappointed. Delivery time also took 30 mins over expected time. Chicken balls were more like dumpling soft, undercooked dough along with the egg fried rice which was starchy and thick. Will NOT be going here again. Hope everyone who has no taste buds enjoys this place and continues to give 5* because this is NOT it.

Great Chinese at competitive prices

I ordered the set meal for one but the Egg Fried Rice was just 100% Rice white there was no egg at all within the rice so very disappointed in the money that was spent and would like to receive compensation for the meal i orderd

We have used this takeaway many many times over the years but this will stop now because of their customer service and attitude! Never had a complaint before with the place and food usually v good but tonight the food was cold , some just luke warm but some cold to the touch. We had to microwave everything apart from the curry sauce ! I rang out of courtesy just to advise them of this - to ensure that this doesn’t happen to others also; I was only expecting an apology- however,. The lady was not happy that I called to adevise and basically said I was lying and it wasn’t possible ? I said well your driver must have had a window wide open or the aircon blowing on it directly as it’s the first time ever we’ve had this happen.. she just talked over me and was totally dismissive. I’m very disappointed and won’t be using them again.

Never, ever disappoints... the best Chinese in Thanet without a doubt. Whenever we have a family Chinese evening this is our fo to place. Couldn't not recommend this place enough, and the staff are just super friendly

We loved this place! We were staying close by and stopped in and only had to wait 15-20 min for takeaway. The food is fresh and delicious. The pineapple is real, not canned. The chowmein was great. There were no weird grisly bits in the chicken. Great place to get takeaway.

Called to place a collection order, and they said it was an hour wait as they were busy. Thought that's fine, if they are busy can't be rubbish! Went to collect and still had to wait as it was being cooked fresh, and they were extremely busy the phone didn't stop while I was waiting, with delivery drivers coming in and out. But we were not disappointed!! Decent portion sizes, well spiced and delicious! I have found a new favorite Chinese take away!!

Portions were so large we saved several dishes for the next evening. I didn't ring in advance but just called and was told food would take 20 minutes which it did. Lovely food

We always order from here, the food never disappoints and the portions are good. It can be difficult to get through on the phone at busy times but it’s worth it. Tried lots of London Chinese restaurants and takeaways and this is better!

Tasty Chinese, good peking ribs and aromatic duck

This is by far the best Chinese I've ever ordered and I've tried many. It's so fresh, flavoursome and hot on delivery. I highly reccomend The Golden Palace. 3rd time ordering and perfect again.

When ordered was told it would be a 40 minute wait. Fair enough, it is a Saturday night. Got there to collect and the took another nearly 1 and a half hours!

Favourite Chinese locally, just nice all round food!

Found was outstanding tonight and very hot. We were both very impressed with our meal today. We ordered chow mein, rice, chicken balls and satay chicken. Will definitely order again.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE We were very clear on what we wanted to order, she even read it back to us twice, yet got given one of the wrong items upon arriving, we called up and we was very polite and the lady turned very nasty even tho she was so polite when taking the order. She said in an aggressive tone "I'm not arguing with you, that's what you ordered" 0 star customer service. so rude, literally was no need for that attitude, especially from a food establishment. She was not understanding and did not apologise for the wrong food or her horrible attitude towards the ordeal. Never ordering again, which is a shame as we've been ordering from here at least once a month for a while, so loosing a loyal customer over one dish which they could have easily sorted out. No need to be rude to people that're polite and friendly to you. (Know for a fact we didn't give the wrong order as my boyfriend has a kidney infection and wanted a dry dish with no sauce but was given the wrong order which was covered in sweet and sour sauce. Paid £20 all together and all my boyfriend can eat is the rice.)

After reading other reviews, i thought that i would give it a try. Where do we start... The sweet and sour sauce was like water with a tinge of vinegar to it, the chicken balls was as though they were old stock and rubbery, the satay chicken was certainly different to any that i have had before and not in a positive way, and the prawn crackers were also soggy and not crispy.

Always have had a soft spot for Chinese and this place is great. I've found on Just Eat a lot of places can be very hit and miss but this place is always spot on. Great menu selection, quick service and when I go in they're always busy with orders which proves it's popularity. The food is always very flavoursome and always cooked fresh with a good portion size, absolutely delicious will always be my number one choice. It's five stars from me, any day of the week.

Food ok but not outstanding. The same as most good Chinese take always in the area. Waiting time unacceptable. Told 40 minute wait but waited 1 hour 15 mins. Too long a wait for fairly average food. Will not visit again would not recommend.

Excellent food great size portions but if you are collecting an order wait for it as kitchen can be early if they are not busy.

Huge portions some dishes are lovely and some lack flavour. largest sweet and sour chicken balls I have aver seen . chicken chow mein not much flavour everything else we had was good , very busy chinese and good value for the money

After re locating to Kent and trying numerous Chinese takeaways that have not been like we have been used to we have finally found our forever Chinese take away, the food is delicious, portion sizes plentiful and tasty, the staff are pleasant. The only downside is that if you want delivery it usually takes about an hour & a half which is very long, If you want to collect I would advise you call & order not long after opening & collect around 40 mins after ordering, I done this tonight & the place was packed with people & the phone did not stop ringing, lovely place & as the food is so good I understand why the wait.

A very clean family run takeaway . The food is always served hot and very tasty. I love the special noodles always plenty of meat and veg with the noodles .The pancake rolls two in a portion are superb .tried other Chinese takeaways but alway come to back to the Golden Palace . Good food fairly priced .

It was our first visit to this Chinese takeaway and won't be our last, the lady on the desk is polite even under pressure on a busy night like Saturday 😊 she took the order quickly and efficiently. Was a bit of a wait as to be expected on a weekend but the chef came out with our order and appologized for the wait and was too very polite and had service with a smile even tho she was extremely busy with orders, yes it was a rather long wait but my god is the food worth waiting for, the portions are great and the prices are good too, also may I add the food is the best Chinese food I have ever had 👌🏼 as my son's said it was banging 🙈😂 I Will be recommending this takeaway to all my family and friends and we will definitely visiting again. 😋

I use to use the royal Dragon as the food was always spot on.However I have now found the golden palace has risen the standard's in every way. Great food, excellent service and a fraction of the cost. Great impression made....

Just received our take away from golden palace and not impressed. Usually order from elsewhere but thought we would try here following good reviews. Food arrived on time but couldve been hotter. Lemon chicken wasn't pleasant and the Chinese roast chicken was super bland and disappointing on a massive bed of bean sprouts and not a lot else. The mushroom rice was actually just egg fried rice with some sad looking sliced mushrooms put in at the last minute so no flavour of mushroom at all. Chicken balls were as expected and ok but the sweet and sour sauce was very strange and thin compared to what you'd normally expect to receive. Sorry but wont be back. Will be sticking to pagoda for much tastier fare.

Used this venue on numerous occasions. Great choice. Quality is first class and good value for money. Staff always polite and friendly.

After last nights order from this local Chinese Take away , I felt that as I was so pleased with and enjoyed my meal that I would share that with other potential customers .Yesterday I ordered Sweet &amp; Sour Chicken - Hong Kong Style slightly battered , along with special fried rice .In short , it was delicious and very enjoyable and by far the best Chinese meal that I,ve eaten in recent years .My other half had a Sweet &amp; Sour King Prawn Balls which she enjoyed thoroughly and she commented that unlike some other local Chinese takeaways , these were'nt at all greasy ! So... In short I / we thoroughly recommend this Chinese Takeaway establishment .

Fantastic Chinese We used Golden Palace a couple of years ago when ours was shut and it's now our regular Chinese.

Having moved house a few times over the years, we know how hard it is to find a good Chinese takeaway. This is our favourite in the Westgate/Westbrook area and we enjoy it every time.

Ordered food 2hrs & 10mins ago - still waiting !!.

visited this chines a few times and enjoyed all the food except chicken chow mein which tasted burnt .Sweet and sour sauce very good and chicken balls were enormous. rice portions are massive.all in all good value for money
