New Jumbo Takeaway in Thanet

First time visiting. We didn't realise that it was cash only, so on arrival we asked them if we could place the order for delivery, so we could go and get the cash out. The lovely lady said it was no problem. So placed our order, very simple amd by the time we got home, the food arrived 10 minutes later. The food was absolutely delicious. Crispy chilli beef was the best I'd had in years amd the new pork dumplings were stunning. We will be back ❤️

Whats the point. just poor poor standard of food , meat (what there was if it) chewy and tasted old, no veg, bland tasting noodles and minced pork in the pork balls , disgusting ,,

Lived in Ramsgate over 60 years, why haven't I been here before, one of the best Chinese meals I have had in all that time.

I regularly order from here and the food is excellent I have a health condition which means I have to be careful with bacteria and this food has helped me enjoy Chinese cuisine safely Well recommend!

Only place I know still increasing their prices although prices have now started to come dowm ☹️

Very tasty food, one of the better Chinese takeaways I've used, friendly service. Tried a few things in the menu and all good. Cash only so be prepared.

We was using Mayking but it changed hands and was recommended new jumbo and it is amazing , great food great service .

If I could give no stars I would have , the sweet and sour sauce tasted like vinegar, it was appalling like it was last week's and re-heated . Not only did they charge me £5.50 they took it back without a refund , disgusting customer service. I'll never rate eating at this establishment to anyone . They are dirty, old and outdated . They don't meet the food standards , I recommend the food standard agency should go in there . Recommend do not eat here until checks are done . I'm going to report these to the food standard agency .

Loved the food especially the beef fried rice

Another of my regular takeaways that has recently put the price up, and reduced the quantity of meat. Duck Curry and Fried Rice is now over £9! Service was fast, but they have no facility for card payments, parking is available outside.

I have been using this Chinese takeaway all my life. To suddenly be told that they will not deliver to me was very unexpected. The lady who I spoke with was very rude and I asked only a reason for why I am not able to have my food delivered like all the times before and why they suddenly won't anymore.? To then have the woman hang up on me. I have never been spoken to like how she did to me before now, and am very unhappy with the way she dealt with this phone call today. I will not be ordering from them ever again.

Duck Curry with small Fried Rice at £7.80, average type price, but a good size portion. All was good, curry was fully of roasted duck, an ample portion, and the rice was tasty, and just enough for a single person. Service was fast and polite, only let down was they did not accept card payment.

We had a take-away from the New Jumbo to celebrate the Chinese New Year and we had a fantastic meal! The mixed appetiser and the butterfly king prawns in breadcrumbs were very tasty and so was the aromatic duck. The special chow mein and the Singapore fried vermicelli were excellent and went well with the Kung Po king prawns and the shredded beef in hot chilly sauce. All food was well prepared and high quality. Highly recommended take-away place in Ramsgate.

We ordered the food by telephone and picked it up our self's, and went straight home but had to reheat as it wasn't that hot, but we did enjoy the the food.

Visiting family in the area so after a 4 .5 hour drive decided to order from the closest takeaway.Well should not have bothered. Although the food was hot it was tasteless.4 of us ordered the Chicken was dry the noodles bland.Will not order from there again.

Average bland and too much msg , a real shame as it had good reviews , its ok ic nowhere is open but could not recommend :( friendly staff though.

Had 2 reasonable take aways , then one that was discusting , was met with a rudeness that was very odd when complained face to face , then realised we will never go back , sad experience and a real shame as first 2 times were good .

Amazing food and great service. We have used New Jumbo on a few occasions now and every time it is spot on. The food is always tasty and hot. The service is always friendly and efficient. We normally drop in and order as it is just down the road from us, and even when busy the food is prepared and served quickly. We have tried many of the Chinese Take Aways on JustEat and not a single one comes close to the quality and value of New Jumbo. Highly recommended!!! Good work guys!!!

We had a nice take-away from the New Jumbo and we LOVED all dishes. The food was excellent and the portions were large. We had a set meal with some beef and chicken dishes, some ribs and also some sweet and sour chicken balls, rice and noodles. The cost was quite reasonable and we will have other take-away in the future. The food was prepared on time and the staff were friendly. A good place to have a take-away!!!

Great food and very friendly staff

When having friends around for a film night or general get together we often have a take away from the New Jumbo. The food is always good and we are never let down. In particular I do not find the sauces to sweet or salty and the flavors are nicely balanced. The family that run the Jumbo are very nice and friendly and we never have to wait long, even for a large order.

Great food, great quality. Prices are competitive. Dont be put off by the look of the shop window. The tatty look is not reflected in the quality of food and the staff attentivness.

Just remember. Take aways on Just Eat are on there for a reason. Tried them all. All rank. Found New Jumbo and it never fails. Delivery is amazingly quick, food quality is by far the best in the area and the portion sizes are great too. Special mention to the king Prawn curry.. cheers guys, won't use anywhere else.

It's a corner takeaway. It could do with a refresher for the décor, but you're there for five minutes collecting food, so what? The portions are generous, the prices reasonable, the food hot, cooked fresh and on time. If the lemon chicken was a little dry...nothing's perfect and this place is overall much better than average. Go for it.

Bloody awful customer service my order was delivered wrong when I rang back I was told is it really a big deal eat what you have an we will deliver it when we can will never order from this place again just pure rude no form of compensation nor a sorry !!

Best Chinese around. Every time I've ordered Chinese it's been from here. Portions are brilliant and each dish is worth the price. try the curry sauce and BBQ ribs.
