Best Chinese in Thanet by far! Best Singapore noodles I've had and the chicken balls are incredible.

Always smells amazing when going in, staff very nice and polite, quick preparation, most of the time food cooked to perfection with lots of flavour.

First time using this Chinese but will be using all the time from now on, ordered for home delivery for my birthday meal was told 30-40 minutes and arrived after 25 minutes all dishes were hot and tasted delicious best Chinese meal from takeaway and got a calendar. Cannot wait to order again Thank You

100% best Chinese in the area. Could not fault it. Lovely service, free 1lt drink with our order and a Chinese calendar for the new year. Not just the service but the food is 10/10 I tried in once before this second time and I really enjoy their food. I've lived in Ramsgate and Margate been here my whole life I've tried many Chinese but this one is the best out of them all. You will not be disappointed We ordered crispy duck, chicken satay, beef in black bean, prawn toast, crispy chilli beef, bbq pork ribs, Chinese special curry, special fried rice and pork chowmein. Crispy duck comes and a whole leg, it's totally crispy, always fresh cooked when it comes and tastes unreal. Chicken satay is the best satay sauce exactly how I like it. Not ever Chinese get it right but these certainly do. Beef in black bean WOW! Beef is soft and tender and the dish is overall 10/10 for its flavour Prawn toast!!!! UNBELIEVABLE CRISPY CHIILI BEEF!!! My favourite out of everything. I don't understand how they get it so crispy and it stay like it with all the sauce on top it's so so yummy! Bbq ribs are meaty and the sauce is spot on Chinese special curry. MUST TRY 😍 Special fried rice is so nice and could be a nice and healthy option if you wanted a healthy dinner. Pork chowmein is 10/10 All delicious!!! MUST TRYYYYY

Thought I’d try this place for a change as I’ve seen some good reviews but I was firstly disgusted that they charge you extra for swapping to curry sauce when you have the chicken balls as I don’t like sweet & sour,I’ve been to a lot of Chinese take aways and never had that before. Very thin batter on the balls and they were very greasy,chips were actually rancid! Not impressed at all so won’t be using them again unfortunately. Will stick with my usual one Golden Palcace in cuthbert road,the best Chinese around in my opinion. Very poor response called 220 times in an hour mostly engaged but on 10 occasions phone was answered and could hear back ground noise before they hung up. Totaly unprofessional way to run a business. Surprised they still get any custom from locals. If you are lucky to get through food is good but you have more chance of winning the lottery. I've tried a few places in Westgate & Margate but we always come back to Friendly House. The smoked chicken is amazing & the staff are lovely.

We have used this take away a few times now. It has the usual range of Chinese take away foods, ours were fine, nothing special, but fine for the price. An honest Chinese take away that gives you what's on the tin, or menu in this case.

Honestly the best Chinese we have had in thanet, chow meins had loads of meat and veg, special fried rice was amazing and had loads in of variety meats. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious and the prawn toast was stuffed and delicious. Really really impressed and happy with our dinner. Thank you

Ordered at 18:15, told 45 minute delivery. 1 hour 45 minutes later still told on its way, asked to cancel order told yep no prob, no apology. Delivery arrived 2 hours later - driver didn’t know it was cancelled. We still didn’t take the food. Would rather know it’s a long wait but company don’t want to lose business by being honest! Not good enough.

Disappointed generally. Food wasn't as good as it normally is, and the fact that most dishes have gone up by about 50p each dish and you get less In each, my special chow mein had one piece of chicken in it! Even having the normal menu had to pay their new menu prices. Normally good but not worth the money now, won't be ordering again for a while

Freindly house is our local Chinese and we order from here on a weekly basis, the food is always fresh, clean and of a high qaulity. If you haven't tried a chinese from here before I would highly recomend it, you won't be disappointed!

Just had the best crispy shredded chilli beef I've ever tasted. Was amazing. Quick delivery and good price too.

Would say have always enjoyed the food from here however in this occasion it was below their normal standard maybe because they were very busy. The rice was rather stodgy on this occasion and the chicken in cashew nuts lacked flavour

Terrific takeaway restaurant, always service with a smile and always excellent food. Have never had a bad dish from here. They're happy to adapt dishes to suit you (no green peppers here please!), and I'm happy to recommend The Friendly House to anyone who will listen!

Called at 7pm to place an order for delivery. Was told there would be a 90min wait. No problems. Food was supposed to be delivered by 2030ish. By 2100 we was really hungry and had called to find out when the delivery was due. Was told the driver was on his way. 20 mins later still no delivery so rang again and was told the driver had left but the delivery slip had blown away so he had returned to the restaurant again but he was now once again on his way. At 2130 our order finally arrived. On a positive note the food was delicious and hot. Sadly let down by the lack of timing on the delivery. If you want a takeaway from here, go to there and collect yourself. Don’t rely on the delivery times.

Great service, always a bit of a wait for delivery but for me shows its popularity! Hot, yummy food everytime, would definitely recommend. Just please dont run out of prawn crackers! Used to visit another place in Westgate, never again!

This is the second time we have had food from this chinese takeaway, and both times the food was really tasty, it has been difficult to find a good chinese, but now we have found this one, I don't think we will be going anywhere else, and what a bonus they deliver what more can you want.I can definitely recommend this takeaway.In closing the food is good, delivered hot and the staff are really friendly what more can you want.

Thought we'd give them a try but wont be going back .. prawn toast was off ! cost over £4 very poor also curry sauce very salty .. it's a shame because its very local to us but I'd rather walk half hour than get food poisoning. Staff are friendly and quick service but the off food means we wont be returning.. 😔

We were rather hesitant about ordering from here as it has very few reviews and to be honest it seemed very cheap for the amount of food we were getting. However I have to say that the chow mein we received was definitely the most delicious noodles we have ever had from a takeaway! In fact everything was lovely and tasty and would very highly recomend!

Waited over 1 and a 1/2 hours to be told food had not yet been dispatched. Used them twice a week won't use again, as food not only has gone down hill rapidly but they are not polite people

new owners now called New Friendly house clean premises now and the food is very good we have had 3 meals from here now and enjoyed every one the sweet and sour is good and the curry.did not like the prawns in filo though very small sor the money would be better in batter and larger for the money.prices are average

We used to use this Chinese all the time when we had previously lived in Birchington and then we moved away. Having now moved back we had decided to try it again. We used to like the fact that they did half portions. Having ordered two chow mein dishes among other things I can safely say that both dishes tasted exactly the same and had no difference in the flavour at all. We were really disappointed and the food was very greasy and had an old oil flavour to it.

I have used takeaway several times now hoping the next meal would be better Sorry to say food not been up to what a Chinese restaurant should be Chicken looks like fish and sauces glutenous I will not be going back to visit again

got a take away from Friendly house and the curry was thick and gloopy the chow mein tasted stale and burnt the rice did not seem to have been cooked in clean oil as it was stale tasting and discoloured ate about a 3rd of the meal and felt it was not fit to eat. 2 hours later had severe stomach pain and was very sick. threw the rest in the bin.
