AVOID AT ALL COST !!! Ordered from these tonight and part of our order was missing. Thought no worries just been forgotten we’ll call them up.. well that’s where it all went wrong.. rude lady on phone telling us she definitely put it in. Told her sorry but it’s just not there to be told again it’s definitely there. I said sadly it’s definitely not there this went on twice to at which point I said look we have paid over £50 for food your more than welcome to come have a look if it was definitely in there because it’s not then to be told your just going to hide it and told to not touch any of it till the driver gets back Utterly disgusting service. We was recommended this place by family as we have driven 350 miles for a break away to what we thought we’d have a cheeky takeaway ruined by this awful takeaway!

I will never order again from this place. Every dish is over salted and becomes inedible. Very disappointing and 5 minutes walking distance away and still being charged for delivery is unacceptable. Very disappointing cannot ever recommend this place.

Thai curry wasn’t the greatest

JUST EAT ORDERERS BEWARE! When ordering from Just Eat. We placed an order with these guys as they had the shortest wait time. As soon as we actually placed the order, the time suddenly shot up. After an hour and a half, we phoned the restaurant. They told us it would be another 25-30 minutes. We then asked them to cancel the order after effectively deceiving us with wait times and we’d get our money back. Cut a long story short, this restaurant never cancelled the order and had the cheek after all this to mark the order as delivered. We’re now in a dispute. An absolute con of a restaurant - avoid.

Terrible. Advertised delivery time of 35-50 minutes, we were still waiting 1hr and 20 mins later, and when we called to chase he said it would be another 25 mins. Asked him to cancel the order, but it has been marked as delivered! Making it difficult to get a refund. He also argued with me about his advertised delivery time, but I have a screen shot! Will never use again.

Mains- Very poor processed food deep fried and shipped out. Suspect it is 95% processed. How can a Chinese take out be this bad? Most on the bin. Photo showing chicken ball batter, ridiculous. How are these even operating.

Ordered at 18:45. App stated 25-35 mins delivery. Updated delivery due 19:20 - 19:40, then another message to say 19.45 - 20.05. Actual arrival 20:07. So, originally expected at about 19.15 when ordered & paid. Therefore 45 mins late. Not good.

As usual, fantastic food, loved it.

Crispy beef was soft and chewy. Not very hot.

It was dry and flavourless and and the chicken in the chow mein was dry and chewy. Will not be ordering from here again !

Late but worth the wait it was lovely

Food was awful. Everything tasted the same. Crispy beef in spicy sauce had no spice and was like chewy chicken. Sauce tasted exactly the same as my daughter’s sweet and sour chicken ball dip. Son had smoked pulled chicken. It was big pieces of floury coated chicken before it gets dipped in a sauce type thing. Not smoked at all. Husbands black bean sauce was ok. £51 for my birthday and was dreadful.

When food arrived it was like warm at best it tastes nice just not hot at all even though the restaurant is a couple minutes away and also no prawn crackers you have to order them separately?

I’m not one to leave reviews. Order from this Chinese on Saturday evening. Been in Thanet 6 months and this is by far the best we’ve had. Great food and decent prices. Came hot. Delivery guy was nice. 10/10

Food was bland and luke warm, sweet and sour sauce was like water, ate some as hungry rest went out for the foxes, won't be ordering from here again

Was staying in town and remembered Oriental Chef from years ago and it being nice so ordered. Honestly worst vegerable curry iv ever had. Watery and no flavour. Orderdd a mushroom chow mein which was full of grease lacked flavour and prawn balls had black in them and full of grease. Really horrible. Woke up with a bad belly from the small amount i ate. Never order again from here again. Save your money and go else where.

the crispy beef was a plate of tasteless jelly. I called to complain and they were just not interested. everything else was cols and tasteless. never again!!!

Once again, our Chinese restaurant of choice is very good.

original order was misdelivered or stolen, but i enquired in a friendly manner with the restuarant and they very kindly remade and redelivered our food, which was absolutely worth the wait. delicious meals, fresh ingredients, great flavours - not too salty or greasy, really really nice and the guys at the restuarant were really kind and lovely about everything. thank you so much, we will definitely be re-ordering! happy new year

DO NOT ORDER!!!!!! Food was awful, cold and disgusting. All thrown in the bin after one bite because it wasn't even edible. Missing items. Drove there and staff were rude, looked dirty and had no idea how to speak to another person with any manners. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

The only issue was prawn crackers are stale disgusting and to have to buy them when other restaurants give free very disappointing

Stale prawn crackers definitely from the day before if not 2 days ago. Stale cucumber to go with duck. Sweet and sour dish deffo at least 4 days old sauce thickened and studgy. Prawn toast was soggy. Ordered seaweed, didn’t turn up. Overall spent £50.80…. Don’t waste your money.

Food was bland and in small containers . Chicken curry was more like a soup . A lot of money for poor quality of food

Restaurant phoned when they accidentally hit that the food was on its way - apologised for the error and gave accurate time, which was it was spot on. Food was good as always.

Food was sooooo greasy. The seaweed was fine but the crispy chicken balls were as soggy as a snowball. My husband had the beef dish and he said it tasted like it had been sitting for days. The smoked chicken was chewy. We did ring but had the phone put down as they were 'busy' to deal with complaints apparently!

Chicken was chewy and sauces glutinous. Our usual Chinese wasn’t open so we opted for this one but overall were disappointed. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Gone down hill. Prawn balls burnt uneditable, bland curry, undercooked chips, don’t recommend. Spent £43 and didn’t even get prawn crackers.

UNDERRATED PLACE! I looked at the reviews and people were way to critical. I ordered a delivery from ubereats to margate. it was predicted 60-80mins but it came in just over half an hour was still piping hot. Food was good for the price and healthy portions. Special chow mein was good had the extra bits like bamboo shoots in and chicken balls are good ! Worth a try

Great food great service but I did not receive my ordered correctly as the 2 spring rolls where replaced with chips!

Ribs very nice, but not the Singapore noodles which were more like a Chicken Chow mein. The Broth for the WonTon Soup was lovely, but the Wonton Wrapping had fallen apart and not nice to eat. Batter on Prawn Ball also very soggy. wait time said half an hour but on payment it was an hour to one and a half hours.

Ordered crispy duck and it was snotty, couldn't eat it at all, spring rolls weren't filled properly, satay sauce was cold so like jelly. Just really horrible food, and a waste of nearly £50.

The food was cold and although seemed well cooked the batter on the sweet and sour chicken balls was very cake like. I spent just over £30 on plain rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and a 1/4 duck which seems pricy.

Really disappointed Used to used this place all the time and it was so good. Today was bad. Arrived to collect my order to hear them all shouting at each other in the kitchen. Someone came out snd didn’t say hello, just looked at me til I said I was collecting an order. Thrust said order at me along with credit card machine and said ‘29.90£’ Service was non existent but food wasn’t great either. Greasy batter. Pretty much empty spring rolls. Just really underwhelming. I can forgive food not being as good as previously as we all have off days. But the total lack of giving a s#!t by staff us not acceptable.

Absolutely disgusting. I spent £30 on spare ribs,duck and chicken fried rice. The ribs were undercooked and had jelly on them, the duck was tough and cold. The rice looked old and rubbery. Will never use again. And over an hour wait through deliveroo

Having stopped using this due to a couple of bad experiences, I have gone back to it, as the food went back to normal. My last delivery was tasty, but there was hardly any duck on the rice, so £9 is a very expensive rice dish!

Just had a very nice meal, chicken curry was spot on, not too hot (taste wise), enormous chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce, chips were perfect, well done oriental chef, oh and delivery driver 👍

Generally really nice flavours but I got a shooting headache straightaway after one or 2 bites which I can only assume is an MSG headache - I’ve had it before and have a known Sensitivity to MSG. Such a shame as I couldn’t eat it but my husband really enjoyed it! Really fast delivery and everything was piping hot. Little bit expensive.
