The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South East

Food was tasty and plentiful - enough for another day. I had sweet & sour chicken Hong Kong style - lovely crisp batter and sauce was perfect. My partner had Special chow mein, lots of crunchy vegetables and a very tasty sauce. Have used other chineses in Ryde and this beats them all.

Came in feeling sheepish slightly hung over. The lady working here was amazing. We were milling about like two idiots trying to figure out what ways up and she helped us out. Very chatty and friendly. But obviously you want to know about the food not the staff. Really good actually. Singapore noodles and salt of pepper chips were great.

First time to this restaurant and most definitely the last. Went on Saturday night with grandson and girlfriend. First impressions looked good, bright and colourful with a busy atmosphere. We were taken to a booth which was nice, I noticed though looking up at the gold coloured wall that it was very very dusty. This place is not worth paying your hard earned cash on. The food was just about average, nothing to rave about. When the bill was presented at the end we were shocked to see the total. The bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc alone was £73 ! So ok on checking the wine list it was priced at that, my fault for not looking, but who would even expect to pay that in a grubby basic restaurant that had bare tables, no tablecloths, paper serviettes and on arrival given the menu which is a piece of paper and a pencil to tick your choices in the boxes. No niceties here, we noticed written in red on the top of the paper that they reserved the right to sometimes ask for payment before the meal is served too……what’s that all about! On top of paying the price of a bottle of wine that one would perhaps expect to pay in a more upper class restaurant, paying £27.90 for two of the starters and being charged for four extra bowls of rice which we never ordered they then stuck a further £22.40 service charge on. We are totally against paying service charges choosing to tip if and when we get service that goes the extra mile, we had that charge removed.……..then removed ourselves, this is one grotty restaurant we will never be returning to!

Been going weekly food has been great, the staff are lovely, would highly recommend especially on the all you can eat offer, very good value for money

We arrived and we’re not greeted warmly , I had booked but a table was not ready. It took an age to get a drink and then we were informed that the main courses were £2 more than advertised and all the rest £1 more it felt like we were being ripped off The food was ok but too much salt , cash only that tells you about the restaurant. The toilets were sticky and unclean . First and last visit

Hemos estado en este restaurante varias veces y me gusta el ambiente tranquilo. La comida es un poco más caro de lo que normalmente para así que tienden a reservar para ocasiones especiales. La característica excepcional para nosotros es la voluntad del chef para adaptar platos para la cena y son siempre servicial en tratar con mi intolerancia gluten.

This is our go to place for a Oriental Takeaway, super friendly and quick service, freshly cooked, delicious, crunchy veg, yummy chicken balls and I love the chilli beef. everything is spot on with great flavours and was swiftly eaten at home. Thanks guys, top notch again, cheers Mat

Beef curry had literally no beef so many mushrooms instead of beef I thought I had ordered the wrong dish tonight

Consistently good food, we drive 25 mins (past other Chinese takeaway restaurants) for the food.

Second delivery from here. Both times food service and delivery great. Food hot on delivery. Will order again. Definitely our go to when in bexhill.

Ordered food online from their own website and when food didn’t show up phone 2x @ 1.5 hours and 2 hours -no show! Both times they assured the food was on route we live 7 minutes away on a straight line from the restaurant to our home. At 2 hours I was told I could have 50% off -why would I want food 2 hours plus however longer it would have taken to finally have food as I don’t believe they even made it-told receptionist-who I spoke to both time(she didn’t remember my first call) I wanted money back . Reluctantly agreed and told me it would take 5-10 days for refund -told her no way I wanted money it back by next day-thankfully that was the only thing they got right! Both calls they assured me that the delivery driver was on route to me after they spent several minutes trying to find my order. They didn’t seem to know what they were doing or where my order was -no point did they ask where I lived or what I ordered so I am convinced they didn’t look at their own website as they seem to think it was ordered through a delivery website-never occurred to them that I had used their own site. Total disaster and very disappointing-I ordered at 7 and at 9 cancelled order!

Lovely meal at Chef Zhu - perfect prawn crackers, and good individual service as we picked meals. Happy to swap tofu into a meat dish for me. Food was really tasty, the vegetables were perfect and as fresh as you like, and my husband raved about the Beef with Ginger. We'll be back.

The food and service here is always great.

Never had a bad meal here. Definitely the best Chinese food in Haslemere in terms of food quality and taste.
