The best restaurants serving Chinese food in South East

We had an amazing night celebrating my Dad’s birthday on New Years Eve. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful and the service impeccable… we were a table of 18 and we were so well looked after even though the restaurant was full…. Thank you for making my Dads birthday so special for all of us and hope to see you soon!

Worst Chinese I have ever been to

Lovely food and friendly staff. Visited with my son and daughter today and we were seated and given the a la carte menu. We visited because my son had been on a few occasions and had the buffet menu. We were going to order but the man came over and gave us the buffet menu as well. We went with the mixed starters which were lovely and they asked if we wanted any more before bringing out the duck course. The duck was so nice. Lots of meat and pancakes. Again asked if we wanted any more. We only ordered a couple of mains as we were quite full and again he came and asked if we wanted anything else. As it was lunchtime and the kitchen was wanting to close he asked us if we would want anything else before they closed the kitchen. Have to say after reading the reviews I had low expectations which were superseded as it was really nice food. Was it authentic Chinese cuisine? No, was it nice fresh, hot. Good quality and tasty? Yes. I suspect there is a traditional menu as well as the restaurant had a lot more Chinese customers than English/european. Will definitely be back.

Very busy- seems to be more focused on takeaways rather than looking after sit down customers! In my opinion the food was ok but nowt special and overpriced

We have not eaten here in years. They do what looks like a great table service buffet menu, but as not big eaters we ordered off the a la carte menu. We enjoyed our dinner.

Is China China still open? I went down there with a business friend two Saturday’s ago- peak evening time - and the restaurant was closed. I called the China China number just now and the message was Number Unobtainable. One of my favourite, fun restaurants in town. Hope it’s only a temporary closure.

Having used this restaurant several times over the years I found that the service has diminished there’s not much Chinese about the place modern pop music instead of it used to be calm Chinese music and although the price has increased the portions were much smaller we had 6 x fixed menu the crispy duck barely g as be us 2 portions of wraps in fact the duck ran out before the wraps which was usually the other way round there was 6 prawns on the prawn dish 1 each. There was not £30 worth of food per portion.

Best takeaway anywhere, everywhere, I recommend using app to order. Restaurant superb and great service.

Way outside my price bracket. I am not a wealthy man. I would prefer cheaper prices. C he raper prices would attract more locals.

We placed an order online for. Set meal for two. We have had this meal before so were confident we knew that the quality of the food would be good. The delivery did not arrive at the scheduled time, it was peak Saturday night takeaway time... so kind of expected some delay.We called to chase up after 30 minutes of the scheduled time; we were told it would be on its way in 10minutes. It was a further 20 minutes and just as we were about to call again that it arrived.The food was still warm and they had put a little extra in for us. We throughly enjoyed our food and will use again. However will probably go too collect.Our experience of most delivery services during COVID on Friday and Saturday has resulted in delays with delivery. So we are judging on the food and only taking of 1 point for the delivery being slow.

We had an early dinner and we were the only diners so the restaurant lacked atmosphere. They were however a stream of deliveries going out so it looked good We have a very tasty meal with all the dishes of good quality

been coming to this restaurant for about 10 yrs and has always consistently good not a cheap eats kind of place but service food and quality has been good but went recently and has gone downhill food not anywhere near the standard it used to be portions smaller less meat or fish and flavours nothing like they should be im not a food critic but go to Chinatown a lot and all the main we had at bejing palace tasted the same base sauce of hot chilli wouldnt recommend ever again which is sad

I had dinner here with family here one evening. The staff were friendly & the service quick. The food was freshly cooked & delicious. The portion sizes are generous. The rice is easily enough for 2 people to share. It's not the cheapest, but well worth the price. I'd thoroughly recommend a visit.

I've ordered here before but the duck tonight was outstanding- best takeaway duck i've ever had - little fat, crispy and substantial - good job!
