Grand Village Imperial in Cherwell

The food was amazing served hot and quickly however staff were unfriendly and rude and ignored my friend when asking for another drink will unlikely visit again but if I do hopefully it’s a more enjoyable experience

We were a family group of 6 for our son's birthday. The service was superb right from the start; very attentive and light hearted without being over-bearing. Drinks were served, including a cocktail, the fruit in which was a work of art. The food was first class with generous portions and, although it was a Monday, we were able to get a portion of the crispy pork normally only served on certain days of the week due to the preparation time involved. The proprietor lead us on a chorus of 'Happy Birthday' and, overall, made it a very special day. Couldn't fault them in any way. Oh, and the decor is fantastic as well.

A little bit of a wait but they were absolutely slammed and short staffed. Special mention to our waiter Tony and the manager who looked after us and were both attentive and efficient. It was my husband’s birthday and the staff even prepared a beautiful cake! We have been coming here since the restaurant first opened and will continue to in the future.

Very good Chinese restaurant with good food and friendly staff. My son had spent time in China and said that this restaurant was like the restaurants in China. The food came out in any order, depending on when it was cooked as all cooked freshly. This was fine for us, but I am sure that if you wanted it in a particular order, you could ask for this. The food was very fresh, tasty and piping hot.

The environment is very good. The space is large. The dishes are also not bad and not small. Would love to visit this again.

This is the second time we went there, the first time was very good. The second time was rubbish. when I booked I asked if they had crispy pork belly, I stressed that it was important that they had it on the menu and they assured me that they would have it. when we arrived they said sorry we don't have it today. We had hot and sour soup the first time we went and it was the best we ever had, this time it was very watery and nothing like the first one we had. We tried a Cantonese beef dish and it hardly had any taste to it. Thinking we had found a good Chinese restaurant even though quite expensive and then experience what it was like this time. We will definitely not be going there again.

Been here twice now and both times have been amazing. Such tasty food, great service. A bit on the pricey side so I’d say special occasions only for me. Portion size is great and you defo won’t leave hungry. Very nice place to eat. Good location and space to park
