Hands down Best Chinese ever! Not had a single bad dish from the Dragon Inn. It’s so hard to not order it 4/5 times a week! The food is unreal, please don’t ever change

The Dragon Inn is our local and they consistently produce some of the finest Chinese cuisine in the area. Very rarely is there a blip with an item that we order, but we’re always happy either way. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chicken balls are perfectly battered with just the right ratio of chicken to batter. The chicken is tender and steams as you bite into it with a healthy serving of sweet and sour sauce. The beef chow mien left me beaming from ear to ear. Very rarely do you find a Chinese that gives you such a healthy portion of beef to go along with your noodles. The beef is cooked to succulence, and not left chewy in your mouth. The noodles could be a little wetter, but this may be personal preference from past Chinese experiences. The salt and chili pepper chips are incredible and left me and my housemates in awe as we bit into the crispy exterior of the chips, letting the fluffy interior sit in our mouths. The salt and the onions perfectly balance the chili peppers, giving a great kick. Never have any of us tasted salt and chili pepper chips to this standard, and I think it’s potentially ruined chips in any other establishment forever. I would love to carry on describing the excellence of the Dragon Inn but I am getting hungrier with every sentence and I must now go and order more. Thank you kindly to the wonderful chefs. You have forever changed our lives.

The food is excellent, the service is good. There is no atmosphere inside, but the food more than makes up for lack of atmosphere.

This is a very authentic Chinese food delivery restaurant. As a Chinese myself, I have the right to speak, and the food is delicious, with excellent quality and quantity.

Low score for 'atmosphere' as it's a takeaway. The food cooked to perfection and to die for..plus the quality and amount is great, all at a reasonable cost. It could why l've encountered custoners who have travelled 25miles for it !

Best Chinese food outside China town

My favourite take away Chinese, for me, the best in the area. Never had a bad one from here.

Tasty Chinese food, good value portions

Twice ordered from here and both times presented with sub-standard food. BBQ Ribs were hard, chewy and generally very very low quality meat - nothing like what they should be. Felt as if they've been in the back of a freezer for the last 10 years. Sweet n sour chicken balls were well overcooked and soaked with oil. Again nothing like the light batter around moist chicken you would normally expect, but the polar opposite. Both items are a staple for a chinese takeaway yet both terrible. Generally very dissapointing.

Best Chinese meal I've had in years

We always use the Dragon Inn when ordering a chinese. The portions are very generous and we always have left overs for the next day. The staff and really polite and the delivery usually quick, even on a Saturday night. It can be quite hard to get through on the phone on a weekend but if you persevere then you will get through eventually.

First time I have ever bought a Chinese takeaway that taste sooooo good . First time of visiting the restaurant and most certainly be returning. If I have one criticism the crispy shredded chicken was really crispy but still ate it as flavour good. From a meal of chow mein , chop suey, crispy beef, satay chicken, spring rolls, egg fried rice, special fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and of course the crispy chicken. One minor criticism not bad. Ready on the button to pick up no waiting and very reasonably priced.

We first ate from here 10 years ago and following the decent reviews on here we decided to give it another go. Instant regret upon opening the dishes. The crispy chilli beef was inedible. Hard and a weird brown colour. The smoked shredded chicken dish was full of sugar and completely rock hard like it had been recooked (I know it contains sugar but I mean spoonfuls in the bottom of the dish), the chicken chow mein tasted ok but smelled strongly of smoke. Sadly will avoid.

The crispy duck is very good here. Also the house chow mein and house special fried rice are very good too. This is an all round good Chinese takeaway.

The food here is amazing! Don't let the appearance of the place fool you. All the food we have had from here has been amazing. Really tasty and decent portion sizes aswell. The boss lady is really nice. Always to the point and gets your order to you as quickly as possible. Never had a bad meal from them. We will keep going back as it's top quality for a Chinese take away. If you really want a good meal avoid peak times. Friday and Saturday evenings the wait time goes up and the quality goes down. Midweek is definitely best.

Ordered a delivery for the first time from these guys tonight and have to say it was amazing! Fast delivery,great food,reasonably priced and generous portions. Will not be ordering from anywhere else from now on.😊

I have used these for years but I will no longer use them no more as today I found a black hair in my food and when i phoned them as i wanted a refund because I could not eat the food no more they wanted me to drive them the hair to them to prove it ..I find them quite rude when I confronted them on the situation .it is there mistake not mine

I usually go for the Hors d'oeuvres number one although the crab and sweetcorn soup and mixed balls are Fabulous. I've never had any cause for a complaint, and the lady owner who takes your orders is very polite and sweet

First time I've been here after a good friend's recommendation to try this place out. Firstly if you're eating for one, then they've got a good range of dishes to try. Most restaurants I know only give 3 or 4 set menu for 1 If your lucky. Their food had good portions with decent quality meat and veg and overall impressed especially their prices too. Well worth a visit especially if ordering for one.

Fast delivery. Biggest portions in the area. The Spicy squid salt and chilli peppercorn is amazing, probably the best I've had (better than Wagamama!), and everything else I tried was nice. Unfortunately though the rice dishes can be a little bland. Little to no flavour in the rice, only flavour in the meat, and only peas for vegetables (I had a Special Fried Rice)

This place sure knows how to serve their customers. Consistently with a kind attitude. The food is fairly priced, constantly yummy and clean.

Really sad and disappointed at dinner tonight. I ordered a crab soup with prawn crackers for me, and then lemon chicken and chicken balls for my partner. Crab soup - it had only 3 small shreds of crab inside a whole portion! As well as this there were big slimy chunks of what looked like raw egg inside. I have never had crab Chinese soup as bad and slimy as this before. Prawn crackers - these were literally brown, the oil must be so burnt and dirty to make prawn crackers brown!Lemon chicken - so I over cooked it was like rubber. Chicken balls - like rubber balls, and batter was covered in dark patches like it was cooked in dirty oil like the crackers. We will never be using this Chinese ever again. Very disappointed.

Useless, ordered then arrived 45 minutes later to collect, waited outside for 15 minutes to then be asked where I lived and could they deliver it to me in 30 minutes.

Tried a few other Chinese takeaways. Have recently started using this one. The food is of a very high standard and generous portion sizes. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

Very pleasant staff The food was lovely very hot and fresh. We will be back we had been going to a Chinese Takeaway in Stainash Parade Wing Tong area but the last two visit the food was inedible. So we thought we would try Dragon Inn and glad we did.

The best chinese cusine I ever tried in UK. Everything I tried was delicious especially hot & sour soup or King prawns sechuan style. Portions are honest, prices are fair, you will really get what you paid for. This take away is beating up many classic restaurants with taste and quality.

I have been eating from here for years & it's the ONLY Chinese restaurant local to me that haven't given me food poisoning!!! Absolutely lovely food cooked & served up by fantastic friendly family run take out restaurant. You won't regret buying from here!!!

The best Chinese takeaway in the area

This used to be our regular Chinese, but will not use them again after today. Told us 20 minutes on the phone... my husband has just walked out without food, after waiting over an hour. Not on. So disappointed.

Been a regular here for a while now but will not be using again. Told 20 mins for collection- my husband ended up leaving without food- over an hour later. He was continuously lied to, being told "5 more minutes". Completely unimpressed. Steer clear.

Tried this Chinese restaurant for the first time a couple of days ago, I had sweet and sour chicken balls & chicken fried rice, simple fill up food, it was Very Good!!. I will be ordering here again!, Very Nice food!, & Friendly, Helpful staff/owners. 🏅🤩

We order the crispy duck with pancakes fron here a lot and it is always very good. Another great dish they do very well is the crispy shredded beef.

Best Chinese food, just love it

Food is great as its delicious, appealing and even better with their sauces. The Chicken balls with the Thai sweet chilli sauce is definitely my favourite but I wouldn't mind trying out anything else definitely. A great meal to eat with family and or even friends.

We have had several takeaways from here, and sometimes it's a hit or a miss. Although it's more of a hit then miss .Yesterday the food was excellent and really fresh ,one thing I like about this place is if they get the order wrong they sort it out without asking back for the wrong food or blaming you .They charge £1 for delivery which fine by me. Overall this is best Chinese takeaway in Ashford.Try it , you might like it

As an avid vegetarian I would highly recommend Dragon Inn they prepared me a few dishes that were meat and egg free and totally delicious. Outstanding!!!

After continually being disappointed by local takeaways and restaurants I thought I’d give Dragon Inn takeaway a go, having received their menu through the letterbox.Based on previous recent experiences I was expecting a long wait time and then the subsequent phone call to chase up the order, I was wrong and pleasantly surprised.16 minutes after placing the order, the food arrived, it was top class restaurant standard. Needless to say this won’t be my only order!

Always lovely tasting food from here, wouldn't go anywhere else. Good menu plenty of choice they deliver for orders over £10 there is a small charge. Friendly staff.

Always get our takeaways from here as food is pretty awesome. The crispy aromatic duck is very crispy and tasty and in my opinion it is there best dish. Crispy shredded beef is also a star dish. Pancake rolls are massive and well filled. The house special chow mien or house special fried rice are both particularly good dishes. Service is fairly fast. Staff are very friendly. No seating as takeaway only. Parking is free outside. Gets busy at weekends as this is a popular Chinese takeaway.

The Dragon Inn has recently changed hands and thankfully this has improved this takeaway. The food is fantastic, good sized portions, great taste and a good choice of dishes.
