All the food is good. The portion sizes are ideal for trying other items at the same time (2x people = 3x mains). Although it is all-you-can-eat don't order too much at one time, you can always add more dishes (and they do arrive quick!). Only order what you can eat as you can't take it home.

Hands down the best Chinese I’ve had! There is so much to choose from on the menu. The portions are great, not too big or small. The food came out quickly and they didn’t mind that we kept ordering more. It was a relaxed atmosphere, not too posh so I felt comfortable. The wait staff were really friendly and eager to please. They also had a little chat with us which is always nice. I’m not too sure why there are some negative reviews, we had a fantastic time and will be returning

It was overwhelming experience. The restaurant is surprisingly big. Staff was very friendly. Food portions were on spot. The meals were delicious. Service was fast. Great night out. I wish there was bigger drink menu(which includes cocktails), nevertheless we are definitely returning next time.

Went here for a birthday meal. The service was very poor. Staff very rude seating very cramped. The food was awful no taste and little portions so asked for more to have enough for the party. Wouldn't go back here again really poor restaurant all round.

To start with atmosphere awful with unfriendly staff attitude appalling, straight away felt very uncomfortable. Service rushed and slow if that makes sense with aggressive tones. Food very small portions so hard to keep asking for more of one dish and some dishes looked awful let alone the taste, no taste at all on some dishes, will never return again as a whole package unbelievable, low standards, such a shame as it was for a family meal.

We came here for a take away last night, as we do every few weeks. As we were ordering, I noticed the prices showing on the till were significantly higher than the prices on the menu in front of me. When I challenged this, the lady told me “prices have gone up.” I replied not on the menu in front of me they haven’t. At which point another lady took over inputting our order at the menu prices for fear other customers were overhearing the conversation. I left feeling like I was being duped. Won’t return after that experience. If you eat here, check your bill against the advertised prices before you pay.

Food was lovely at always but if you’re gonna charge £5 for delivery I would like the driver to deliver to my door instead of making excuses as to why he can’t.

If I could give this place a higher score, I would. I've never eaten somewhere where I've received my food so fast and at such a high quality.

I have been coming here for 15 years! Always fantastic food and value for money. However for various reasons hadnt been since last Summer.....there has been some changes to the menu - Lamb dishes gave disappeared and my favourite Green lip Mussels have disappeared from the menu! The price has gone up now £24 midweek and £25 weekends (understandable due to cost of living) - mist disappointing change is no hot towel/wipe and no after eight mint when bringing the bill out!

Okay guys, let's get real here. The restaurant is pure chaos, the staff are fast and chaotic and the atmosphere is claustrophobic and at time invasively loud... but have I been dining here regularly since I was a child? YES. 2024 will be my 27th year of eating here, and I remember the restaurant from when it was still Chef De China in the 90's. The food is always piping hot and fresh as the turnover in the kitchen is so fast. This place is such a great option for "picky bits" when you want to try a little bit of everything. From the appetisers, I cannot recommend more the quick fried spicy prawns and squid - they are just super, and the chow mein vermicelli noodles are smoky and packed with veg and flavour. Sweet and sour king prawns are also ordered without fail on every visit! Crispy duck and pancakes never miss either. There are plenty of other places out there where you can have a more leisurely dining experience, but if you're just wanting to experiment and try new things, or are keen to return to classic msg-laden favourites, this is the place to be. So you won't get you typical 5-star service, but you will also want for nothing as the staff are all so fast and "on it", you can't go wrong. Tap water is served in garish plastic jugs and the plates are as old as me, but it really is good food and I'll keep eating here forever. Even with the recent price increase of price-per-person, it's still so worth it. It's a one of a kind place! (Side note, as a takeaway stop it's also elite. All the perks on the dine-in food without the chaos. Absolute winner!!!)

Friendly and excellent staff. Food is amazing abd yummy. The groups can get loud and noisy. I usually ask to be sat upstairs if too busy downstairs.

Always very busy so worth booking ahead, food was amazing as always, usually just get take away but was nice to go in and choose from a huge variety of dishes, great value for money and service is 5 star

Food was ok, but they take the menus away after you first order something then keep avoiding any eye contacting or only come to the table and say 'drinks orders only'. No actual buffet either, I just want to go up and get stuff myself as and when I want it. I don't want to fight for attention just to get another bowl of rice...

Got severe food poisoning from eating here and had to spend the night in A&E. I mostly ate prawn dishes as I’m a pescatarian.Will defenetly not be returning.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The staff are frankly rude and obtrusive; the food is not fresh and rancid. If I can offer one piece of advice It is never to eat here; there’s two curry houses within a minutes walk and 3 pubs……all of which will offer food 40000 times better than the reheated slop that moon in moon serve. DO NOT EAT HERE

Service was a bit cold and abrupt on entry, the Singapore fried noodles (vermicelli) was nice and spicy and sweet n sour chicken was good. Chow mein was AWFUL and had a very burnt smell and taste - couldn’t even eat it so the whole container went in the bin. May return if I’m super hungry but wouldn’t recommend.

A local Chinese restaurant that is right in the heart of the Sunbury on Thames community. Over many years of using the restaurant I am more inclined than ever to think it is all about speed and quantity of service over quality of food or experience. A shame. Having said that, it was, as is often the case, packed with paying customers.

Had Had lovely male server. Happy and good customer service. Other ladies not so much. Thought the 23.50 per head was a bit steep for what we received. The buffet style restaurants I have been to was more value for money. We were quite tightly packed in. But food eaten was nice.

Away with work and it was decided that Chinese was the order of the evening. Had a quick look on Google and this place popped up as being an all you can eat but the food is freshly cooked to order. So off we went, a 5 minute drive and found parking behind the restaurant which gives an hours free parking but after 7pm it's free. We arrived at 6pm so got the hours free and went in. We hadn't booked and it was busy, but the lovely staff managed to fit us in and explained how it worked and off we went. Honestly I've never been in a Chinese restaurant where the quality of the food was so good and served so quickly. Everything was hot & tasty, and top notch. The staff were just brilliant, especially the lady with the glasses who recommended the hot and sour soup and it truly was lovely. If you're in the area, give it a go, you won't be disappointed. 🥂

Not very big inside downstairs but Ihink they have another floor upstairs which they use when very busy. Toilets clean but small so if your a larger person like me it's a squash in the cubicle. Been here a few times now and food is lovely. Food always hot and plentiful. Gave 4 stars on the service because for our party of six some of our order we received was wrong, drinks were wrong and we had to keep repeating our order as the staff didn't understand. That being said, the food is excellent and we will still go back there even though we had a couple of hiccups.

Had a takeaway with some friends... We chose Set menu F for 4 people... but several of the dishes were much too spicy hot for us...so unfortunately we had to throw most of it away...Enjoyed the duck with plum sauce,ribs,and spring rolls but thats all.

Went on Saturday for my 70th birthday, Very busy and noisy. Was not informed of the Starter option just the crispy duck. Pressured into ordering our main meals before we were ready. Before we had finished our main meal the BILL was presented to us without asking if we required desert or coffee. On leaving we noticed that there were a number of people waiting to be seated who probably had not booked. However the food was good. Would never go on a Saturday again. More bums on seats more money.!!!

Visited on a Saturday night I will say it was busy Service overall I found very over the top we literally had just sat down and got asked drinks and if we are ready to order when we had not even had time to open the menus about 30 seconds later another staff member done exactly the same thing not giving any time to breath and even speak about what we would like and it was like this throughout the evening it got to the point when we literally had staff hanging over the table ready to clear our plates and ask what we wanted next so overall quite disappointing Drinks I think are very overpriced I asked for a cider and at £4.50 I would not expect to get a can so disappointing mixers are close to £4 and wine for a bottle was £22 for nothing special Food was nice some dishes did let me down the duck was just mashed up did and not look overall that appealing seemed like it was just bought from Costco and cooked asap see pics I have taken Atmosphere was nice everyone having nice a good time maybe would of been nice to have a bit more Chinese decor

Been looking forward to trying Moon in Moon for a while and have to say it was brilliant. The food is delicious, especially the starters, and you can eat as much (or as little) as you like for £22. Service is also good, and there's a buzzy atmosphere from how busy the restaurant is. The main courses are a bit smaller than you'd get in most Chinese restaurants but that works perfectly if you want to try a bit more variety. All in all, I'd thoroughly recommend it, and we'll definitely be back !

A regular here. Great all you can eat offer, but portion sizes are randomised (although you can order more). Service fairly alright. Noisy atmosphere. Only thing I’ve noticed on a number occasions is the service of drinks, they don’t open bottles at the table so unsure if you’re getting what you actually order. Other then that it’s edible!

The staff are some what friendly! The food comes out within 5 minutes of ordering.. some dishes lack flavor.

I visited this place for the first time. Basically my partner invited me there without saying what kind of place it is. Due to childhood trauma, I'm afraid to try new flavors, so my date tries to help me overcome it. Thanks to the fact that the menu is so rich and it's a buffet, I could try many new things and not worry that I will only lose money if I don't like something. I tried about 10 dishes and I was delighted with literally all of them. the service is excellent as well. I will definitely be back to try out more flavors!

I live in sunbury for last 9 years , i bin getting takeaway from them on regular basis (every wkd) ,last night ma husband suggests we go and eat in this time with our 9 and a 3 year old so we did, food was good as usual comes out fast to so no complaints there , we asked for a bill and guess what they charged us all adult prices, I kindly said to the gentleman that bring out ma bill that my daughter is only 9 had a half plate of noodles he being to argue with me saying that shes an adult, ma 3year had still water thats all he had as hes is very fussy eater had chips before we left and that still water aint included on a meal also before i went in I explained to the waitress that he doesn’t eat , So just to make people aware make sure u check ur bill dont let them full you!

We booked and it was busy on arrival we waited a short time to be seen to our table the waitress was helpful, you choose however much you want from the menu and if you are still hungry you can order more all for the set price

Great place!! It was full of diners and the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff were really busy but I could not fault the service. The food was beautiful. We had the All you can eat menu for £24 each and it was well worth it. Nice size portions and we didn't waste a thing! Will definitely go back.

Great food, and you can order as much as you want under their Buffet scheme. However, the 1 star is missing coz the some of the staff are not very warm and welcoming. At least I had this feeling.

I googled ' chinese buffets' and this popped up. It most certainly didn't dissappint. This has become the new weekly go to place! Lovely food. Great attentive staff. We go with 3 kids and it's just spot on all round.

Really good efficient service from friendly staff. The menu is pretty varied with lots of options for my types of taste. Very tasty dishes, small enough to enjoy a second main if your feeling adventurous!

Four of us went for an all you can eat dining experience and there was nothing we didnt like. As it was all you can eat naturally we took full advantage and ordered dishes we wouldnt normally go for. The dishes were sensibly portioned and all piping hot. Will definately be returning. One regret though as the food was so good we forgot to take pictures. We 100% recommend this restaurant and if you got things off a normal menu this meal would have cost a fortune. Go, eat, enjoy, you wont regret it

Great Chinese food very nice staff

A lovely family meal - The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was all hot and fresh, quick service and tasty food. We’ve been coming here for ages and bought our family who hadn’t been before and they were dubious given previous reviews on here but they were pleasantly surprised, as we knew they would be 😊 Another lovely meal here.

Sadly although service quick and staff friendly, the food didn't quite make it into the 21C. It came out very quickly and sometimes not even piping hot but tepid, on melamine plates so even if warm it went cold very quickly. Felt like eating food from 1990s.... Starters were tasty: seaweed, prawn satay (dry prawns but plenty sauce), prawn toast, mussels in black bean (highlight) Mains, were tepid, insipid and there was a lot of sugar and 'gloop': Thai green curries-chicken and prawn (unpleasant didn't eat beyond trying, sweet, not like a green Thai curry, gloopy - 1/10) Stir fry beansprouts (in gloop not stir fried (1/10 couldn't eat); veg noodles (7/10, tepid and cooled very quickly); mushrooms (cold 4/10); seafood in black bean (squid inedible, sauce tasty 4/10); it all got sent back. Tried again with Garlic chicken (better 6/10) and Singapore Noodles (warm and not too spicy 6/10) Dessert: Apple fritter- Hot and crunchy bit firm inside ...good value (8/10) £50 for two with one soft drink, one dessert. Wouldn't go again sadly. Think they probably do very well with staple dishes : sweet n sour, peking duck etc. Or plainer Chinese and not the Thai. Shame as starters were good.

The food was lovely and efficient timing but the service for the majority was poor. From the point of arrival rushed to our seats and within a minute of sitting down we were asked what we wanted to order, multiple times. The welcoming to new guests was completely different to regular guests, the politeness should carry regardless of being new or regular.

Food was awful. Left after the starters as the food was dry and not very nice. Went down the road to our local takeaway Chinese instead

Great food but felt very rushed. Asked for jug of water but waiter thought we were joking very strange asked again when we ordered 2nd round of drinks and still didn't come so had to get up and ask. Went for birthday and saw on the website they did 10% discount but on asking they said they no longer do that and it's been updated and we had no phone signal to check. Definitely not as good as it used to be and won't be rushing back.

Food very very average, bordering on bad. People love it because they offer an ‘all you can eat’ menu for around £18/head. To be honest, the food is typical Chinese but reminds me something you’d get frozen from the supermarket with too much MSG added. This restaurant used to be great, but has changed ownership over the years. Staff are always very friendly.

A midweek visit and it was packed. The reason for this was eat as much as you like for a nominal cost.. First time not likely to return.

Have been going here for years but our last experience was awful. We was a large group for a birthday and the customer service was absolutely awful. Its almost like they were unhappy with us for going in and spending over £300. I did not recognise most of the staff so maybe that is why. Such a shame as we go often and have recommended quite a few people but would not go back now.

Table for two was all ready for us which is always good. We had the mixed starter which was absolutely fine. We particularly enjoyed the spicy squid. The waiter tried to push us to have the duck and seemed surprised and was quite abrupt when...

Cannot fault the food, all the dishes we had were lovely. Staff are extremely attentive, are more than happy to help and get you more food or drink. Food is served promptly when ordered and is all lovely and fresh. Even when alterations are requested due to dietary requirements the food is still out just as quickly. We keep going back here and would certainly reccomend.

Sometimes you eat well others you don't. I think it depends on the cook's mood...

Great food and wide range of taste but very poor service delivery

Food was excellent, service was a bit slow only got 2 appraisers out of 4 so waited a while for the others. Main course came quick. As soon as we finished eating they were lifting our full glasses of drink to take the table cloth, didn't appreciate that.

BAD GUTS Hi yesterday I went to the the moon in moon they was offering the all you can eat for a very cheap price I ordered 23 dishes between 4 of us that I think is reasonable as we are all 22 stone+ And big eaters when I got home an hour later I was still hungry and had to order a kebab wich isn’t great as I had already spent £25 for the night and I don’t work I wouldn’t recommend the food to small portions but lovely food x

If i could give no stars then i would. I don't usually write reviews but felt i had to. This was possibly the worst Chinese meal we've ever had. Rushed us in and rushed us out. We were done in an hour and that was the only good thing about our experience. Its all about quantity (of customers) here rather than quality of service and food. Management change has ruined which was once a very good restaurant we've been going to for years. The restaurant is dirty, hand grease marks on the wall, dirty carpets. No wonder the staff wear masks. I was going to ask for one too with gloves. Regretted not leaving the moment we arrived. All pre made food as they were out in seconds from sitting down. Mixed horderves out in seconds after sitting down, duck pulled probably hours before and dried out. The dished that arrived after were laughable. Small dishes, chicken and cashew took the prize of the biggest joke of the night, cashews which looked like they'd been found under a fridge. we didnt even eat them. There might of been 4-5 small very thin pieces of what looked like chicken on the dish in a gloopy sauce. Beef in black bean sauce, usually tender pieces as you'd expect, but was possibly the most toughest beef we've ever had. 4 Prawns on small plate with a 4-5 pieces of ginger in the gloopy sauce. MSG was rife in the food, my kids behavior looked like they'd eaten a McDonalds. The only decent thing consumed was the bottled water. Never again will this restaurant see our family and friends. Just awful. Avoid.

First time visit for me, heard so many good things about the Moon in Moon did not disappoint. Choice of food was great they had mussels in black bean sauce my favourite dish. Went on a Friday evening it was packed and still the service was quick. The staff were friendly and helpful 10/10 would highly recommend.
