Great food at super prices, recommend

I am so sorry to give this take away such a bad review especially as it is very local, however I can only report on what was served up. I just wanted something quick and simple on a Saturday evening. The spare ribs were passable but the chicken chow mein, (a Chinese staple) I have to say was very dry and unappetising, no sauce and dry chicken . Had a couple of mouthfulls and threw the rest away!

It’s ok, not over priced the people are nice.. they appear to always be busy ..

Ordered a takeaway on a Monday, it came super fast and it was piping hot. The curries , noodles and chips were fresh and delicious... they even threw in some free spring rolls and prawn crackers. Much better than the Chinese takeaway place in the high st! We will definitely order again.

Haven’t had a Chinese take away in years and now want to have it every week. Food was delicious, very flavourful and pipping hot.

Best Chinese for miles around, friends who are 5 miles away and use the restaurant recommended The Eastern Pearl to us and we'd never go anywhere else

Best Chinese takeaway I've ever had. On time, food was hot, fresh and delicious. Do not let the negative reviews put you off ordering as I can't believe how incredible it was. Worth every penny.

haven't seen a more fresh vibrant plate of food, all amazingly cooked, nice and soft, fresh crispy where crispy needs to be crispy and soft where needs to be soft, all tastes amazing, plenty on the plate. LEMON CHICKEN, CRISPY CHILLI BEEF, NASI GOREG, CHICKEN CHOP SUEY AND GOURMET APPETISER FOR 2 STARTER, £40 and easily 4 or 5 meals out of all that, great value and amazing food, 10/10 always been my favourite Chinese take away, food is restaurant quality. p.s, forgot the crispy seaweed !

WORST EXPERIENCE!! Not recommend at all !! I have rarely felt so disrespected! They forgot a dish in my order so I called to inform them. The lady on the line started screaming and insulting me telling me that I am a liar. She used multiple time the F word and B word to insult me. The client service at eastern pearl is the worst you can experience !

Not sure if I ordered oil or Chinese food. The food was very greasy. I've had better Chinese food. I recommend you order from another restaurant.

Had a fantastic takeaway, we ordered on line for collection and they were just finishing bagging up when we got there, service was great, all the food was excellent, hot and very tasty, would definitely recommend. Can't wait til our next order.

Not sure why the bad reviews, food was really nice and order was correct, beef was tender where other local places I've had from was chewy and tough. Kung po chicken, salt and pepper chilli and house special fried rice were all lovely with generous portions. Definitely use them again and I'm a real foody.

Ordered online, was straight forward collected in 20 mins order was all ready, and food was good quality and tasted great

Ordered a set menu meal over the phone and it was great. They were happy to change things out if we wanted. The food was delivered on time and so good! The closest I've got to authentic Chinese in the UK, not too salty and full of flavour. The particular highlights were sweet and sour pork, satay chicken, lemon chicken and beef with mushrooms. 100% recommend.

One star is being to kind, this place is a joke! I ordered Kung Po Prawns (if anything they were bad), Lemon Chicken (the sauce was like juice from double concentrated squash) and noddles and beansprouts (but all I got was a pot of beansprouts no noddles, no joke) so they came and replaced my beansprouts and they still got it wrong! I also ordered banana fritters and two of them had something all I can explain as stones in them (like they where dropped on a dirty floor) This is my second bad experience ordering from them in a row and I will NOT be ordering again.

No idea where my food is. Ordered through Uber Eats at 17.00 and now it's 18.48. Can't get through on the phone. My number is on the order they could call me but haven't. Update. Food arrived at 18:55. Was still hot-ish and quite tasty. Will pick it up next time I think!

Placed order via uber eats. Was 20 mins past the latest estimated delivery time, which was already over an hour without the lateness. When arrived 2 meat dishes missing and replaced with rice, mistakes happen so called to rectify. Line was continuously engaged for just over 40 minutes from delivery time & when it did ring it went onto an answer machine, left a message with all details of order and what was missing and asked for a call back. Not recieved one. Meal was dry as meat dishes missing, food recieved was ok but spent just over £80 with this restaurant for a take away treat and wish had gone somewhere else as the rice with some dry side dishes and no sauce was not pleasant and one person trying to call while food is getting cold made it not an enjoyable experience. Would not use again or reccomend.

I ordered directly in the shop for collection takeaway. Greeting on entry is very, let's say,, efficient. Beef in yellow bean sauce with egg fried rice was tender tasty and freshly cooked. Other recent varieties also good. In my opinion this is slighly above average Chinese takeaway food. Don't let the half lit shop sign outside put you off. 🙂

Absolutely disgusted, messed up my order, I was told that they were sending it by delivery... Still waiting for it to turn up an hour and a half later.... Called, got a sorry... Don't patronise.... Awful food, awful service, lies....

Misplaced my order got it wrong didn’t get my bottles off coke had to ring twice waited 2 hrs for it food wasn’t the best I surely am not going to reorder from that place again sorry but 1/5 poor

Food was really greasy and totally bland. After half my meal I decided it was just to greasy to be edible and gave up. Later I became very sick and spent the evening in the bathroom. Very disappointed as I had paid what I believed to be a lot of money for my meal. Wouldn’t recommend. Shame as I was hoping to become a regular customer.

Great food but haven't been able to phone them on their order number lately have they changed it?

My last couple of orders have been really bad. Was hoping just a different chef, clearly not as haven’t ordered in a while! Food is really bad now, so dry. Chicken in chicken balls just really old meat, tough dry. Ribs, completely dried out. Chilli beef, tasteless. Even the duck pancakes had a strange taste. Have wasted £30 on food I didn’t enjoy. I will no longer ever order from here again. Such a shame as used to be so nice! This is what happens when people prefer money to quality. Loss of customers from here.

Phone and collect order. Missed out one of our meals had to return and collect. Meals itself were good quality.

Accurate food and very nice prices, since is near my house I haven't ordered but they always served me really nice and fast.

Mobile phone rang and it was the delivery man. He said he had rang the door and there was no reply. I apologised and immediately went to the door. The man didn’t even walk up to the door, he stood up our driveway. I walked out and he said “I rang the door bell”. I apologised again and explained I hadn’t heard the bell. He then said “I did ring it twice” in a rude and abrupt manner. Again I apologised and took the delivery bag. I took the bag in and unpacked it. Every box I pulled out was covered and literally dripping in grease. Still, I preceded to serve up the food. Sadly the food tasted more of oily grease rather than any actual flavour. Extremely disappointed with the standard of food. I will not be ordering from here again. Both the food and Customer Service standards were disgusting!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! If the owner would like to discuss this I am more than happy to. I only wish I could’ve given this review a ZERO 3 and a half stars, are you serious?

The food is ok, although it can be quite greasy. The menu offers a very standard selection of Chinese foods. This is not a sit down restaurant. There are no seats or tables. This is strictly a take away place

Worse Chinese I've EVER had needs shutting down disgusting I love Chinese food normally get a Chinese takeaway every week but after this one from here won't be getting one for a while wouldn't recommend it VILE.

Brilliant customer service, however satay sauce looked like beef gravy, chicken was rubbery, containers are small, which in this case was fine as I couldn't eat it this food and I was starving :(

The best Chinese meal I have had in ages. Lots of meat & delicious vegetables, non greasy & large portions

This place has steadily gone down hill since the previous owner Tony sold it! The food and delivery times are bad. I used this place about twice a week and it was brilliant, now you ask for something specific but don't get it. Frequently the food seems to have heen double cooked and inedible. They don't always open at lunchtime anymore. I'll never use Eastern Pearl again, and I've used the place for forty years, unbelievably poor these days.

Sadly one experience here... It repeated itself several times throughout the night and I don't intend to repeat it ever again!!!!

I can't comment on the meat but I've never had any issues with the vegiteran food.
