The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

Well the three star is for the food, was quite nice. hot and fresh. BUT...... driver came to the door took £40 and walked away my son shouted him back for our change to which he responded sorry I thought you gave me £30 which still wasnt the point as at no point had anyone said keep the change! The bag of food had been dropped covered in mud and soaking cartons squashed and half open and sauce all-over the inside of the bag no wonder he was after a sharp exit! The food we managed to salvage was nice and I would visit again on collection only.

Manhua Cha serves THE best bubble tea. It’s impossible not to love their bubble tea.., put it this way, if you don’t absolutely fall in love with their bubble tea then you just haven’t got the right flavour combination yet. The have endless flavours, more than any I’ve visited in the U.K. (about five different bubble tea stores). My favourite is passion fruit iced tea with blueberry boba balls. Boba balls are little balls of juice, and when you suck them up into your mouth via the thick straws you get a burst of flavour as they pop in your mouth. It’s so ridiculously tasty. Most bubble tea stores only offer the traditional tapioca pearls and not the boba balls. They are missing out big time, Manhua Cha offers both. Although traditional, the tapioca pearls are texture that you need to get used to. Almost like hard balls of jelly. I’d recommend getting boba balls first if it’s your first time. The team of staff also are very nice and friendly, and if it’s your first time they will be more than willing to help you get a flavour right for you. You can have comforting hot tea drinks or iced refreshing tea drinks. It is essentially all tea but for example with the passion fruit tea, it doesn’t taste of tea... rather a fruit juice. I’m a huge fan, they deserve it, everything is on point and I love their comic book theme going on, very cool. Never had a bad experience, always great service and nothing compares to the delicious bubble tea they offer. I can’t wait to keep trying new flavours.

NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL A CHINESE TAKEAWAY! Heaton residents, get yourself to Jakki’s for the most mouthwatering food EVER. Salt and chilli chips BURSTING with flavour, fried rice beautifully cooked, chicken so soft and flavoursome. Vegetables in every dish are just absolutely delicious. Been here well over 10 times over the past year and have never failed to disappoint me. 10/10 food, not to mention the incredible and friendly service every single time. Wait times are incredibly reasonable considering how amazing the quality of the food is!!!

Decidió visitar a última hora el viernes por la noche .. servicio era impecable, restaurante encantador sensación relajada y no hay música o televisión que distraiga para que pueda disfrutar a fondo de la comida y la conversación. Tomamos 5 bebidas, 2 entrantes, 3 platos principales y un lado de arroz frito. La comida se cocinaba fresca y llegaba cuando se preparaba... estaba caliente y tan llena de sabor y el tamaño de las porciones era enorme... nos llevamos una bolsa para perros a casa. Estábamos compartiendo y pudimos probar un poco de todo y cada plato era fantástico . . . dada la cantidad de restaurantes en Newcastle es al crédito de infusión que ya hemos dicho que volveremos a probar más del extenso menú . . . de primera categoría

This is the best bubble tea place in Newcastle! The drinks are absolutely delicious and the shop itself is very cosy to sit in. 10/10, would always recommend :)

Nice atmosphere. Staff were very polite and helpful. Food was great value for money. Ordered X2 alcoholic drinks, 4 piece sushi, 9 piece dumplings, X2 mains for £56. Food was really tasty, except I wasn't keen on my "grilled pork soup" which I don't think was grilled as it was battered and was very pink, a quick Google search said this can be normal in this type of cooking so went along with it but it was very chewy and the colour was off putting but I should have raised this with the staff and I didn't. It won't stop me from visiting again, I will just order something different next time! Everything else was super tasty. The only other thing which was disappointing was there was no iced tea which 2 of us wanted & no taster flight board which included sake, soju and plum wine as they had "ran out". A place that is all about Asian cuisine should never run out of Saku or Iced Tea in my opinion so that was disappointing. Overall a 3.5/5 due to none of the drinks we wanted and my pork dish.

Decided to try this particular Chinese as the other one was closed and I wish we didn't. Absolutely terrible food , squid.. spit it out in the napkin and ended up exchanging the dish with my fionce who wasn't impressed with his or mine either,he had some of mine and I had some of his food as we where really hungry , but ended up leaving almost half. Terrible. Also, the wine and wine glasses....why Chinese places haven't got decent selection of decent wine if they are serving it?? Most of the plates are plastic which is off putting and glasses for wines are just ridiculous.In my opinion if you are going out it's to treat yourself and not to have something worse than you would have at home. The décor of restaurant as bad as the food , also people behind us must have been relation to the restaurant owners or staff had absolutely zero manners!! All we could here behind our back it's burping!!! Absolutely gross 🤢 Definitely won't be back absolutely waste of money.

Absolutely lovely place and super demure. Special shoutout to Conor Henry. Unreal bartender (super nonchalant) , the way he pours pints is just pure magic, he’s a generational talent. recommend this place to everyone! 1,2,3 Twooosssss.

Food Doesn’t taste great. Service was all good. Beef Stir fry sticky rice noodles taste awful and not authentic at all! Don’t think they got good chef.

Foods always spot on great sized portions

Absolutely shocking quality diabolical portions tray came half full. How is this place still open ? I’m guessing that the locals have absolutely no taste in quality foods through shopping at farm foods for decades. Who Evan puts mushrooms in egg foo yung WHO !!
