Linda and the team do an amazing job of welcoming you and making you fresh food at a reasonable price. They do real chips cooked fresh to order. Curry sauce is 2nd to none. Price is reasonable. Proper old skool family run business dishing out amazing food which is no doubt generations of traditional family recipes. GO THERE NOW!!!

Never judge a book by its cover this place might not look the best when driving past please don't let that fool you, this is the only Chinese that still serve genuine fresh chips just like back in the day its that good I drove a 26 Mile round trip for my favourite house special chow mein 😀

I said terrible because I literary found a nail chipping in my food but other then that it was delicious 3/5

Lovely food served by lovely people at a reasonable price. Particularly recommend the garlic butter chicken and the curry sauce.

Ordered from this establishment and whilst I was waiting for my food I was chatting with the owner Tamwar Sandhu. Tamwar explained the raw ingredients that he uses are from the farmers in the North East and the animals are purchased from local farms and are all slaughtered and prepared in-house to ensure the freshness that Tam’s Chop Suey House is known for. I can confirm that the meal I had was fresh, it tasted amazing and I will definitely come back again.

Terrible,ordered salt and pepper chicken and this is what arrived for £6 very dry,not cooked correctly and no flavour,won’t order again.

Chinese is my favourite takeaway..been trying new ones lately and got it from here tonight and FULL LOT WENT IN BIN AFTER A FEW FORK FULL'S ..!! SURPRISED THE PLACE IS STILL OPEN...ALSO FREEZING COLD ONCE ARRIVED! WAS WELL PAST DELIVERY TIME. don't mind waiting 4 nice food but that was far from nice ..gravy wudnt even pour onto chips was that cold!! WORST CHINESE EVER TASTED AND IVS TASTED QUITE A FEW LATELY..!!

I'm gonna review Tams truthfully even tho I love the owner very much I'm going to say my honest opinion the place doesn't look the best could do with a decorate also they need to pull them self out of the 90s they need to get some sort of online ordering in place they would get a lot more customers to be honest I'd be happy with a photo of the menu online because the amount of times iv wanted to order but never had a menu is unreal. Years ago I tried this place and hated it the only thing I ever like was the curry iv got to say they have the best Chinese curry in Newcastle years later I thought I'd give it another go see if anything changed and I got chilli salt and pepper pork and it was beautiful ya don't get much meat for ya money but it's beautiful large chop suey rolls are nice as well but wierd

Chips is that what there called they aren;t like disgusting not cooked. Every hinge we ordered was undercooked and tasteless they do not av a clue keep well away for the sake of your health

This place produces truly unpalatable food. Overly reliant on sugar syrup and carrots seem to find their way into all manner of dishes as a cheap bulking agent. Avoid unless desperate.

Absolute magical food experience. I can recommend the prawn crackers, like little crisps of Christmas. At Club Tropicana drinks might be free but at Tams you can get superb curries. If you want to be The Leader Of The Gang visit Tams!
