Dirty, overcrowded and overpriced. Waiters don't care. No tissues, no water. Canteen style dining with proper restaurant prices. Dirty cutlery. Won't be back.

A little cafe restaurant serving traditional Chinese foods with reasonable prices. The prawn crispy noodles was delicious and the hk hot tea was strong enough to put hairs on your chest! The roast duck and soya chicken was nice the char sui roast pork was bit on the chewy though side unfortunately. Not much room for a wheelchair when busy but accessible at quieter times at a squeeze.

I recommend this restaurant. I go here almost every Saturday for lunch with my family and I enjoy it. I usually order the same thing but I forgot what it’s called, it’s rice with mince and some vegetables (Chinese) and it’s honestly so good same for all the other dishes. The waiters are really quick to come to your table and take your order and the wait isn’t bad. However, it’s quite cold in the place and there’s not many seats and it’s close together so u could hear other peoples conversations and there is an echo in the room which when you talk, it sounds loud. Despite that it’s a really good restaurant which I recommend.

I've walked past this place twice a day, five times a week for the last 7 months as I work in a local hotel and use the car park next door. I've seen the duck hung in the window and have recommended this place to hotel guests who wanted a less informal china town option as I was under the impression it had a good reputation. Had a wander in for the first time today. Had a look at a menu at the front desk then wandered through to place my order at the till. Requested two starters to take away then was told it was £3+ more than quoted on the menus. When I queried it I was told like I was a **** head by a very stern lady "you were looking at the old menu". Bang average food, don't be stupid enough to look at an "old" menu, £7+ for takeaway away prawn toast, there are better options I promise you!

Before I write the review it’s my fault for not complaining at the time but I’m anything for the quiet life. There were two of us and I was the only one who ‘ate’ I ordered chicken fried rice. The chicken must be still laying eggs as I couldn’t find any in the dish. We ordered two cokes that came in cans. We asked for glasses and two horrible plastic ones were given to us so we drank from the cans. I should have complained on the night and I didn’t it’s my fault but lesson learned I will in the future if I have to.

On a Saturday night we were easily seated, it doesn't serve alcohol which may explain part of why it is not that busy on weekend evenings. The food came out very quickly, almost suspiciously quickly. I'm not going to claim its the best chinese meal ever, but it fills a role and I enjoyed the crispy noodle with chicken and veg, and prawn toast (both large servings). I remember in years gone by this being a bit dingy on the inside but it's got a clean, bright (if simple) decor now

We ordered Vegetarian Fried Rice and Claypot Fish with tofu. We had no idea that the claypot fish would be served with pork, so we pushed the pork aside (Michelle and I don't eat pork). That aside, it was a pleasant meal, a simple lunch with lovely Fried Rice. I particularly enjoy Fried Rice that's hot from the wok. I'd have to experience more of their claypot dishes to give a full review, in time 😄

I hate rating independent businesses badly as they can't withstand stuff like the global giants so when I do well!! Popped in for a takeout to go back to my hotel round the corner Beef in ginger and spring onion with rice and a can of pop nearly £12 so hoping for a decent takeaway. Pop and rice fine lol. Little ginger and no spring onion that I could find, just masses of fried sliced onion and then came the beef. Well I don't want a legal case so let's just say it must be a very rare breed of cattle, hopeless, chewy and thrown away. The notice on the wall should have warned me " No refund if 25% of meal consumed" Eh? We live and learn.

Major tourist attraction in Newcastle. The archway is one of the biggest in the UK specifically built by Chinese craftsmen from China. Chinatown, or mainly Stowell Street in reality, is mostly made up of restaurants which reside along its length. From quick eats like Chinatown express, Landmark westernised higher-end, Dojo Japanese, King Neptune (Cantonese), Sky (Cantonese), to seafood hot-pot fondue places, Palace Garden (Cantonese), and Wing Hong supermarket, to Mananza Korean, two Japanese teppanyaki restaurants and Meet & Treat pan Asian cafe eatery. There is quite the choice! There is also the Jasmine and Bread Point Chinese bakeries not too far away in low friar street, which is essential! Also slightly further away is Hi-You Chinese supermarket, and Laus 202 buffet restaurant which is fantastic.

Er werd druk gewokt.Omdat er erg veel Chinese personen in deze gelegenheid aan het eten waren, zijn wij ook naar binnen gegaan. Iets lekkers van de uitgebreide kaart uitgezocht en dit besteld. We were in Newcastle for a drinks and stopped for dinner. The place has plastic tables and chairs and is extremely cheap. However the food is good. We had the soup to start; chicken noodle for my husband and crab noodle for me. We also had a portion of prawn crackers. We had a very helpful waitress who was a student at the University and she explained what was good to eat. We both opted for the Chow Mein which was the house special. Really good. There is no alcohol served here though. If you are looking for a no frills place but good Chinese food this is very good. Toilets weren't great though.

Went here before a match and ordered off the lunchtime special menu. Had chicken rolls to start which were ok. Chicken curry and boiled rice was horrendous!! The boiled rice can only be described as a ball of mushy glue with absolutely no taste at all, the curry was full of congealed curry powder that hadn't been made properly. I asked them to change it as it was inedible it came back as the same dish only they had added hot water to it to melt the lumpy curry powder!! It was now a Disgusting, watery, bland and tasteless mess!! We used to frequently visit this place before the match and it was always bustling and the food was always lovely!! Not sure what happened but it is always empty and soulless and the food is extremely poor!! we will not be visiting again. The staff didn't even seem bothered that i was disappointed, no apology or refund!! Nothing!! Stay away!!

Malo, malo, malo! Evitar COMO LA PESTE. !

I visited planning on eating in but didn't feel well so I got a take out. I had ordered salt and pepper king prawns a chicken noodle soup and chicken curry with mushrooms and onions. The salt n pepper king prawns were £7.00 and to be honest there was hardly any and what was there was so hard I have not eaten them they gone in the bin. If I was well enough I would take them back. The curry has no mushrooms in. Totally disappointed as I had used this place a lot a few years ago and used to be excellent food. Totally wasted my money. Would never recommend to anyone!

We visited for a quick meal after visiting the nearby RVI hospital. We enjoyed our food, each meal was hot and tasty. Be careful with the chilli dip on the tsble it is eye-wateringly hot! The service was ok but a bit casual because they were busy. The decor is basic but the tables were clean. This is a takeaway and a restaurant and prices are reasonable.
