Haven’t had a decent hot pot in the UK, so you can imagine the trepidation when my bro booked this hot pot place for our Lunar New Year family gathering BUT….lo and behold, it was gooooood The soup bases were packed with flavour - especially the spicy one Loved the side sauce options - always a great sign And the variety of options that they had were superb Sadly, the price of the seafood and the meats were so high, you simply couldn’t justify ordering enough to fill you up It’s cheaper to buy it yourself and do it at home If the pricing was more reasonable, I would sing from the rooftops about this place So…if you don’t mind paying the prices, come and try this place cos the flavours are on point and the service is phenomenal Almost forgot to comment on the decor Well spaced and authentic feel to the place and perfectly located in the heart of Chinatown

Ordered the £28.per person set menu, started with the hot and sour soup - it came out within a few minutes of ordering. It was stewed to death - no taste whatsoever. Then the starter platter came out - spare ribs, prawn toasts, spring rolls, crispy wontons - completely tasteless. Next was the crispy duck - sorry, that should read cremated duck - it was dry and overcooked. We mentioned it to the staff - they giggled and said sorry. The main course arrived - sweet and sour king prawns and szechuan chicken. The prawns had no taste whatsoever and the szechuan chicken looked like chicken nuggets in the same sauce as the prawns! We spoke to the staff and they admitted the szechuan chicken wasn't actually szechuan chicken? We asked for the bill, thinking we might have got something taken off - not a penny. Won't be returning.

A little GEM in the heart of Newcastle. We discovered this place a few months prior to our most recent visit over the weekend, and thought it was even more delicious as the last time. Superb service, super-friendly staff and the food taste/quality is divine. There wasn't a single piece of food left on our three plates. The atmosphere was lovely on the Sunday we visited - with Christmas music playing and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our new favourite!

The food is excellent, the service is excellent and the staff are excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We wanted to try a "good" Chinese on Newcastle and heard good things about Little Asia. The family (including two children 6 and 8) ordered from the set menu a range of food. The order arrived promptly and without any mistakes. The food was fine and served its purpose well. I really enjoyed the chicken and sweetcorn soup and sweet and sour chicken. We had sweet and sour ribs and another kind but they did seem really similar. The best part though was the staff. They were so friendly and accommodating to our group. They made the afternoon pleasant and enjoyable. I've had better food in the last (not that this was poor) however I would return just for the staff and the overall feel of the place.

An absolutey amazing meal and brilliant, attentive staff. Took my partner for his birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We had hot pot and there is a mass of things to choose from.

The food and service is exceptionally good at a reasonable price. We hadn't previously booked a table, but was shown to a table upon arrival. The decor is contemporary, spacious and airy. We will definitely be returning!

Visited on an overnight stay with friends. The food was superb with generous portions. We had a mixture of dishes including vegetarian, no one was disappointed. The staff were professional and attentive but not overbearing. We tried the hotpot, and it was pretty amazing food! Great variety of mushrooms, tofu, meat, fish, noodles, and sauces to cook by yourself. This was a new food experience for me and my husband. We truly recommend this restaurant.

We ordered the £25 four course which is really good value compared to others. Prawn crackers brought straight to table and food came out quickly and good portions, we got some of the juices and they were freshly squeezed which was a nice touch. Loved the little bar where you can go and get sauces, oils and extra seasonings. Service friendly and fast would 100% recommend here. Next time we are going to get the hotpot as they looked and smelled amazing

First time trying hotpot with my son. The food was excellent quality, broth was hot and spicy and the service was very attentive. We had a mix of meat, veg and tofu. It was all very tasty. Would very much recommend

Great service and excellent hot pot last night. Wide choice of meat, fish, vegetables and tasty broths. The Tom yam was very good it my favourite was the extra spicy chilli base. All very good.

I wouldn’t bother going here. We waited 20 minutes for two cokes, we managed to finish our starters before the drinks came. We asked one of the waitresses about the drinks and there was no apology or no effort to chase them up. Food comes out at random times and not all together so my main was cold before my partner got his meal. Our rice never came so we went to pay the bill and informed them we never got out rice - once again no apology. They did take it off the bill but like I say they were unfazed by a complaint. In terms of the food quality - pretty average, I’ve had a lot better. Everything was pretty salty which is hard to eat when you have nothing to drink!! Waiters and waitresses aren’t particularly friendly and make no effort to check back that food is ok.

Went here with my girlfriend and friends for their hotpot. Their soup choices was on par but there wasnt any clearance for Halal consumers. Asked the waitress about Halal or vegetarian options but the waitress was not even sure herself but quickly said “yeah”. Had mostly seafood and vegetables for our hotpot and it was delicious. The environment of the restaurant was spot on and clean and massive size toilets! Overall, great for authentic taste of Hotpot.

Parece encantador pero no se nos permitió eso. Racista. Atiende exclusivamente a los chinos. ¿Inglés? Espere galletas e ignorancia.

Best Chinese restaurant ever!! The food was excellent. Cannot think of a better Chinese meal than this and we've been to dozens of Chinese restaurants over the years.

What a gem! Really a jewel in the crown of China town. The cuisine is first class ,faultless all of the wonderful oriental flavours combine together to create a the perfect taste , a symphony of flavour. Reasonable prices for dishes if you prefer the full experience you can go for the hotpot or the three course set lunch menu is a perfect price £12 for a soup, an appetiser and main dish. The decor is tasteful and authentic, the staff are lovely ,warm and welcoming. I will definitely be back for another visit!

Thoroughly enjoyed the meal! Portions were generous and the taste amazingly authentic. The hot-pot set is a must have when eating here; you get a little bit of everything to fill you up to the brim! Will come again.

My friends and I had such a great experience at Little Asia, not just with delicious meals but also the friendliness of their staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming. This is my first time having hotpot in UK and for my first try it did not disappoint me as the soup was so nice. The environment is so comfy, it is a good place to chill with friends. I’ve ordered the set meal and portion is quite big, although it is a 2 pax set, it’s look like 3-4 pax portion.

We had hot pot at this restaurant and it was amazing. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the staff, they were very helpful when explaining the menus as well. The atmosphere is superb and the choice of music playing in the background are so good, we had a small karaoke session by ourself.

I’ve just tried this new restaurant for the first time and it really gives me a great memories! They have this hotpot kind of thing, I never had this food before. It’s really delicious! They do provide Asian fusion food in the restaurant other than hotpot. However, I do highly recommend hotpot because it will be the greatest experience ever! We didn’t know how to eat with the hotpot and their staffs are really nice, keep on helping us with the hotpot! Excellent service!!!

As soon as you enter the restaurant the staff were very welcoming and helpful with explaining the menu, the food was fantastic and so many options to create a fantastic meal. The food was fresh and there was an option to have dipping sauces to the meal.

Probably the best hot pot I've ever had in Newcastle. The service was a great surprise as their staff was unexpectedly friendly and professional. The restaurant is excellent with a wide selection of food and drinks - fresh and nicely presented.

They serve very authentic Chinese hotpot with various type of soup broth. We decided to have the mala (spicy) and tomato soup base and it was superb! Totally in love with the idea of having authentic hotpot in the UK! The food here is fresh, and different dipping sauces are provided as well. However, you may need to avoid peak hour as you will probably need to queue on Friday and Saturday night. The service was amazing too, the staff are very friendly. They were very attentive even though it was really busy.

Walking around China town I walked into this place expecting the usual Chinese food. Fabian quickly introduced me to the hot pot dinner even if I was alone. What a bloody cool thing !!! Thanks man

I booked for a birthday celebration for about 10 people. The restaurant is spacious. The industrial design and clean environment creates nice pictures of the day. On top of it, the food are fresh and the drink especially milk foam tea and iced lychee are unique and refreshing.
