The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

Nuestra comida favorita y lugar de té en Newcastle. Yo y nuestros amigos hacemos planes para venir aquí al menos una vez al mes. Rachel y Ben son tan increíblemente acogedores, proporcionan un ambiente cálido y cómodo y un excelente servicio al cliente. El menú de té es expansivo, por decir lo menos! Hemos probado al menos 40 tés diferentes entre nosotros ahora y todavía tenemos muchos más que probar. La comida sabe increíble, está cocinada fresca y es de gran calidad. He estado viniendo a la casa de té Ni Hao desde alrededor de 2013 cuando era Tea Sutra antes de esto y constantemente ha sido un lugar increíble para visitar y la calidad solo ha mejorado. No puedo recomendar este lugar lo suficiente y nuestra visita es realmente uno de los aspectos más esperados de nuestro mes. 10 / 10 ⭐️

Basándome en varias visitas diría que esto es un cambio en la experiencia del Bubble Tea. Casi escondido junto al Restaurante de la Felicidad se encuentra Utepia, y definitivamente tiene un 'vibra', así como una gran selección de tés, la Matcha y la leche Oolong son muy agradables, también el personal es muy acogedor y amable.

Paseando por el mercado de Grainger el 30 de julio con mi hijo de 22 años, nos topamos con Dumpling & Bun. Nunca antes había comido ni albóndigas ni bollos. Mi hijo me persuadió para darles una oportunidad y yo los amaba absolutamente. Deliciosa y recién preparada.

La habitación estaba en el primer piso, pero un buen conjunto de escaleras con un gran pasamanos debe ayudar a subir a la habitación donde una gran variedad de tés le esperan. El menú de comida parecía atractivo también. El personal estaba bien informado y dispuesto a ayudar. Los tés se sirven en una tetera donde se prepara el té. Se suministra un temporizador de "huevo" para permitir la preparación correcta. Cuando se prepara el té se vierte en la jarra de servir y un matraz de agua caliente permite preparar una segunda olla. También se servían bolas de melón y uvas. El tipo de taza dependía de qué té se seleccionara. En resumen, una experiencia realmente increíble!

My HK friends wanted to try out this place and I was not disappointed! It is a hole in the wall sort of restaurant, most people eating are locals or workers getting a quick, cheap and easy meal during their lunchbreaks, but I can see why they'd choose this place! It's run by the family and everything feels very authentic and you can see them prepare your order right in front of you as there's no separation from the kitchen. Maybe some people would prefer something a bit more formal, but for a bunch of friends who were missing some good Cantonese food for not too expensive prices this was great. I got their HK milk tea which was deliciously refreshing and sweet, the market street platter and noodles with fried chicken. Their fried chicken is really great, captures that HK essence perfectly. The food here is not meant to be that special or unique, but it is the real deal. And all for super cheap too! I love this place and will definitely be returning when I come to Newcastle again, I recommend it to all my friends!

¡Un lugar increíble! He estado allí dos veces ahora, tanto con amigos como con la familia y cada vez la comida ha sido fabulosa y fuimos muy bien atendidos por el personal. No podría recomendar lo suficiente!

Food is fine. Staff are always arguing with eachother though, it's like walking back to a domestic that you're not welcome in.

My first time eating from Peach Garden. The BEST Chinese I’ve had in such a long time!! Just amazing, ordered via telephone for collection such a friendly atmosphere! Great value for money too! Will definitely be ordering again!

A little hidden gem of an Asian Bakery, near Northumbria University 🥐 There is probably only 1 or 2 tables for dining in - which makes the experience even more exquisite. It was my very first time here - I remember my cousin recommending me this bakery, saying that this was perhaps one of the best. It's not located in Chinatown - just a little walk away from Northumbria University, and you come across this hidden gem. The baked goods sold are DELICIOUS. All freshly baked, and sold there and then. Green tea with egg yolk paste pastries, various cakes, swiss rolls of different varieties. I tried a few of them, and enjoyed all of it thoroughly. If you love Asian Pastries, this will certainly be a highlight.

The usual banquet was had by us ( 4 at this sitting ) No need to really go on about anything in particular as everything from the prawn crackers, chicken and sweetcorn soup, aromatic duck in pancakes and the 4 different main courses we had were delicious. The service was its usual efficient and friendly way. Priced at better value than most restaurants on Stowell Street, it is always our go to restaurant. Well done again.

Felicitaciones a este excelente establecimiento por transportarme directamente a 1995 — un momento más simple cuando las máquinas de cartas eran brujería y la evasión de impuestos aparentemente era solo buen sentido comercial. Llamado por adelantado para hacer un pedido, todo parecía estar bien... hasta que me presenté, listo para pagar como un ser humano normal en 2025, con una tarjeta de débito. No hay mención en el teléfono, y ni siquiera cierta simpatía por mis hijos que vinieron a recogerlo. Déjame entender esto: ¿estás dirigiendo un restaurante en el mundo moderno, solo tomas efectivo (qué conveniente) , no se lo dices a los clientes por adelantado, y luego envías a los niños hambrientos a casa vacíos - con las manos porque no te puedes molestar en comunicar las opciones básicas de pago? Eso no es solo un mal servicio, es casi vergonzoso. Si esta pequeña política de “solo efectivo” es una manera inteligente de evitar las tarifas de las tarjetas o una manera no - tan - inteligente de esquivar impuestos, no puedo decir. Pero puedo decir que no volveré — y tampoco debería hacerlo nadie más que no lleve un fajo de veinteañeros en el calcetín. Absolutamente vergonzoso. Cero estrellas si pudiera.

Ordered chicken curry fried rice and a portion of wantons. Expensive for what it was fried rice was cold and wantons weren't wantons they were over fried and what ever was inside was raw. Wantons are mini spring rolls these were not. Will not be using them in a long time.

I love the food, here, especially the pork chop, Chicken Steak, and Fried chicken Dumpling, they are must try.

Well the three star is for the food, was quite nice. hot and fresh. BUT...... driver came to the door took £40 and walked away my son shouted him back for our change to which he responded sorry I thought you gave me £30 which still wasnt the point as at no point had anyone said keep the change! The bag of food had been dropped covered in mud and soaking cartons squashed and half open and sauce all-over the inside of the bag no wonder he was after a sharp exit! The food we managed to salvage was nice and I would visit again on collection only.
