We always love jakkis the honey chilli chicken is amazing, however we got one which was cold (still was amazing) but when we rang up and complained the man said he would give us a free Chinese to make up for it the next time we ordered. We weren’t sure he would’ve remembered or would do it but a month or so later we ordered and told him and he did send it out!! Amazing service favourite Chinese will always go here

Orderd a munch box and paid to have chicken balls added to it. They wernt in the box when it came. Waited about hout n half for delivery which is understandable if busy however the Food was quite cold. There wasnt anythng in the box that was particularly hot to be honest. We were gutted.

This place is 10/10, I couldn't recommend it enough. I was put off Chinese food after my local takeaway made me ill but my friend recommended Jakkis so I gave it a shot and the food was incredible, can tell it was all top of the range ingredients. Credit to he staff as well. They were very friendly and helped me out because I have a gluten intolerance so can be a bit harder eating out.

Decided to have something a tad different and wow I was not disappointed had house special crispy curry & Cantonese ribs absolutely wobbled my taste buds amazing food thanks x

Ordered a vegetarian Munch box because I didn’t know what to order and wanted a bit of everything for me and my daughter, I don’t know if he put extra in but honestly it was enough for a full family. Absolutely huge and the quality of the food was amazing. Spring rolls were fresh rice was fresh. All tested 10 out of 10. Service was good and he even swap things that I didn’t want for things that I did want. Also the delivery was quick can’t complain will definitely be back again.

The best spot around to curb that craving. Everything I have tried has been so good but the Honey Chilli Chicken is unreal & always the seaweed! I wouldn’t go anywhere else! 1000% would recommend to anyone, you will not be disappointed👏🏻👏🏻

Chineese food is my favrite food. Afta sein the revews on line I thout I wud try. Aal a can say is deer me! The chicken baals weren't even cooked proply. I didn't realize till is was way to late then up aal neet necking on with the toilet seat. Also splatty splatty splat from the behind becoz of the raw chicken. Very not nice when I had to gan to work at 6am ! Which a didnt even gan cause I was still splattering the toilet dish. Divent even botha gannin here like unless you want a couple days on the sick from graft.

Having moved to the area and trying out a few different places, I can say Jakkis is by far the best. Great service and food is always ready pretty quickly. The Vegan munch boxes are one of the best boxes I've had, great value for money and would easily be enough for two people. I've also tried the regular munch box and the same can be said for that too.

Been to this place once before to order, in person. The guy behind the counter was using VERY bad language, constantly, knowing i was there. Anyway, had good food last time, few months back now so put his bad language down to a bad day. Went in this evening. I was ordering afew different meals, as a treat for my elderly parents. I didn't quite understand the ordering process for one of the dishes. Instead of helping me order, this guy went up a height!! Practically shouting at me!!! His wife was standing with him, I looked to her for help, rolled her eyes and tryed to help. Yet, still both of them being condescending. Christ, I woulda ordered bloody anything, just to get out of there!! Absolutely bloody disgusting behaviour. Should be ashamed of yourself, treating, speaking to a customer like that. Best thing about my meal, was the fortune cookies. Don't recommend. Won't return.

Owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, enjoyed his banter and personality. Food was wonderful and very filling! Always had a good meal here!

We do the £5 lunch time specials, they're excellent value for money. For me personally it's all about the service, it's absolutely spot on, we phone our order through & it's always ready on time

The vegan munch box is the best vegan chinese food I've had! There was a good variety of food included and the curry sauce was nice. The crispy seaweed is a great addition. The salt and chilli chips would be nicer if they were more crispy and could do with a but more flavour but that's just a little room for improvement.

Vegetarian munch box is great value, comfortably fed two people. Salt & pepper chips were great, everything else very nice but would say the tofu was a little dry & needs sauce - luckily, the munch box comes with sauce! Delivery guy was on time & friendly. Would recommend & will return :)

I've not once been let down by the food and service at Jakkis. Always reliable, never had to wait more than an hour on a busy night. Sweet dishes aren't too sweet and salty dishes aren't too salty - just the right amount for great flavours. Drivers and shop staff are always canny. Won't go anywhere else as long as I live in Newcastle.

Ordered 9.12pm to be delivered 10.12pm on a saturday night. Rang at 10.40pm and it was closed. No food and no call to say we werent getting food. Good job I didnt pay upfront, but still, left us hanging and hangry, had to order elsewhere but eventually got lush food from elsewhere!!!

This is a littke gem of a takeaway, the owners are very approachable, and know how to look after there customers. Recently my local Chinese has gone downhill, after always seeing jakkies recommended I switched to here, and after a few orders I’ve made the decision to come here permanently, as it’s absolutely worth the extra drive it takes. It’s always ready to collect within 5-10mins, big portions, perfect salt and pepper chips.

Fresh, and tasty and with very lovely barbecued vegetables. Would totally go again if I didn't live so far away from it.

Perfect. Truly a perfect Chinese takeaway. Amazing prices, and amazing deals if you go for sharebox items. You always get the correct order, and it's always either on time, or early. Not only that, but they often throw in free items when you've ordered a certain amount which is always a treat! Always friendly staff and friendly delivery drivers too! I would really recommend anything with Cantonese sauce, because it's beautiful from here. And oh my god, if you haven't had the salt and pepper chips ... You haven't lived. I would literally form a religion worshipping Jakki's salt and pepper chips if I could. They are to die for. If you're going to order a Chinese from anywhere around the Heaton/Byker area, you're not going to get better than here.
