The best restaurants serving Chinese food in North East

Sadly this is the last time I will use this Chinese takeaway as over the last 4/5 months the standard of the food has declined so much it is now unacceptable. This saddens me as I have supported this local business since it opened it doors the food used to fabulous , fresh, tasty and of a very high standard. However things changed and I had hoped the decline was due to change of staff or someone on holiday. But last night was my final giving it a chance again my family and I bought 5 meals and not one could be called nice….. dried out chips as if they had been reheated, a chicken curry and chicken sweet and sour balls tasting like cleaning fluid/ ammonia and gravy so thick it would pour out of the carton! These are just a few of the complaints about the horrible food this time !!! Give this place a miss it’s really is a waste of good money for bad food !!

I really really wanted this to be awesome. I'm a massive fan of the restaurant and had really hoped this would live up to that standard. Sadly it didn't. Received notification that the food was ready six minutes before the allocated pick-up time. Given the pickup slot was half an hour then that already was a poor experience. Means the food is packed up and potentially under a hot lamp which isn't ideal. If i'm late that's on me but the food being ready early is not. Ordered the Geisha box and it was exactly that - food in a flimsy cardboard box with a bit of foil. Really impractical for a takeaway as next to no thermal insulation, it wasn't even corrugated like a pizza box. That meant the food in the box was cold or lukewarm by the time i travelled the 7mins home. Conversely the chicken and noodles were still boiling hot. The salt and chilli chicken and salt and chilli fries were bland with next to no seasoning anywhere near them. The huge bag of truffle fries also had no truffle flavour at all. The standout in the box were the ribs and the Geisha KFC both of which were excellent. Overall, a really disappointing and expensive meal that did not deliver the Geisha at home experience.

Waited 50 minutes for a bubble waffle. Orders were short we need to follow up. Staff can't cope when the place is busy.

Salt and pepper Chips are absolutely banging mate I could eat them every day 10/10 mate

AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!! tiny portions and very poor quality food if you want a Chinese full of flavour and large portions go to wonderful Chinese just around the corner on park road and save your self the disappointment!!!!

Fuimos a Grindon Dragon para una comida para llevar el domingo por la noche. Optamos por la caja de sal y pimienta. La comida estaba con nosotros dentro de unos 25-30 minutos de ordenar. La caja de sal y pimienta estaba repleta de varios alimentos. La comida en general estaba bien. Los fideos eran un poco sosos, las patatas fritas estaban bien, las albóndigas de pollo estaban bien pero carecían de un poco de sabor y las costillas eran buenas pero carecían de una buena cantidad de carne. Las salsas ayudaron a traer algo a la comida, especialmente la salsa Szechuan, que en realidad era muy sabrosa.

I live in flat and the delivery man could not be bothered to deliver to the door he should if I payed for delivery I have to go downstairs to collect it.

Wait time on app was 45 min collected it wven tbough ordered for delivery after 2hr 30 told not they fault they couldn't update wait time!

Just had the worst Chinese’s meal I have ever had from the Cramlington village Chinese … asked for mixed meat chow mein got two slices of dry beef two slices of dry pork and two prawns… daughter asked for mixed meat sweat and sour and just got veg .. no meat at all .. sweat and sour was bland and had no taste . Alison asked for chicken and mushroom with egg fried rice … got fried rice no mushrooms and chicken cooked in egg .. asked for pineapple rings and got something with raw batter that we couldn’t eat. this used to be my go to Chinese in Cramlington I will never go back .. no idea if it has changed hands but it’s bloody awful now…

You don’t change your name if your good , this has changed its name . The food tonight was a rubbish . Duck was over and over cooked , BBQ ribs in gravey . Worse £27 I’ve ever spent …. I spoken to shop … I let then know : bad bad business

TAKE CASH ONLY ...They are always very reliable when ordering or picking up ..sometimes there hit and miss quality wise ..I don't recommend going soon as they open as you are better when they have been open a while and have a proper cook on at a certain time ..say 7 pm ...I would not recommend delivery ,as I witnessed a woman who had been smoking heavily ,pick up delivery ..drop some of it in the car and come back in for a bag to scoop it into ..with a cigarette on ...not good...and must have been freezing by the time they got it ... Last time we ate it was amazing only two weeks ago on a Friday evening ..may go tonight ...see if we're lucky

Great tasting food and for a family of awkward eaters they are so accommodating

¡Qué experiencia horrible! Hemos comido aquí varias veces anteriormente, pero nunca más después de hoy. Mi esposa y yo decidimos pasar nuestro almuerzo de San Valentín aquí y qué error resultó ser! Nos mostraron a nuestra mesa y pedimos bebidas. Salimos de nuestra mesa a buscar nuestra comida y al regresar a nuestra mesa nuestras bebidas estaban allí esperando. Tan pronto como nos sentamos a comer, una camarera joven vino a nuestra mesa con nuestra factura y una máquina de tarjetas y nos preguntó si nos gustaría pagar en efectivo o con tarjeta. Respondí “estamos comiendo nuestra comida” a lo que vino la respuesta “te pedimos que pagues antes de comer”. Esto no me ha pasado en ocasiones anteriores, ya que siempre he pagado en el bar al salir. Si sus procedimientos han cambiado, entonces lo suficientemente justo, pero si desea que la gente pague antes de comer, entonces tome el pago en el punto de sentarse y pedir bebidas. ¡NO solo porque la gente se sienta a comer después de conseguir comida! Esto arruinó totalmente el ambiente y básicamente arruinó nuestro almuerzo. Había una joven madre con un niño cuya mano sostenía mientras llevaba un plato de comida de vuelta a su mesa y la misma joven camarera se le acercó pidiéndole que le pagara ANTES de siquiera haberse sentado. Lejos de esta cuestión, la comida en sí no es ni mucho menos tan buena como solía ser. La elección de platos es mucho menor que antes. En general, una experiencia muy pobre en todo el mundo y después de haber visitado este restaurante muchas veces durante varios años puedo decir honestamente que esta será la última vez.
