Ordered from new century tonight for the first time .First class service , delivered on time and the food was really nice , will deffo use again .

We have been customers for many years since I met my then girlfriend Sharon in 1995 when she worked here answering the phone and seeing to orders.I thought I would treat us we got chicken curry and fried rice,chips and mushrooms, DELICIOUS.

The telephone order took over a hour and a half to come when it arrived it was wrong meal after speaking to girl on phone they agreed it was there fault and would send out the right meal this took a further 40 minutes to arrive and in mean time new century called me to say it would be a extra £2.20 for the pleasure As you can imagine it will be the last time I order from them and looking at other reviews iam not the only one There obviously have a zero customer service policy They seem to have a default setting of its out with driver

Placed order 7.30pm was advised order would be delivered by 8.30pm and 8.50pm maximum wait time. I called the shop at 9pm to be told they are waiting for a driver and it will go out then . 9.21 still no food 😕

Recommend people not to order. Horrendous. Gordon Ramsey would probably close kitchen down. Would not have fed the salt and pepper to my dogs.

The curry sauce as expected for a Chinese takeaway. Processed chicken and beef chewy. Spring rolls tasteless.

Absolutely shocking Chinese, worst I’ve ever had, took three hours to come after over 4 calls of them telling us it would be with us within ten minutes, food finally came and it was cold and awful, only good thing was the fact they gave us some money back but this was not easy due to the horrendous customer service - would not recommend.

was told i was a liar after waiting an hour & 10 minutes & 30 minutes been added to delivery time .nice place food came in end stone cold

We rarely have issues ordering from this takeaway. Food is normally tasty. Weekends are very busy and you can wait upto 2 hours for food to be delivered. I would recommend pre ordering and collecting if you can as food doesn't always arrive hot.

Ordered over the counter chicken curry and chips for 2,specifically requested that the sauce was not floating in fat and that a dry sauce was what I required,this request has been delivered to me in past,the final meal was poor there was no spice in the sauce and the whole meal was floating in fat or gee.

Called in for a lunchtime special curry with fried rice, was initially worried by first impressions as the chefs apron was absolutely minging! It was supposed to be red by the look of things but it was proper stained. However the rest of the place looked clean. Was very suprised by the quality of the food! It was absolutely delicious! Not at all oily or greasy as i'd feared. Would have been 5* plus, had the chef made the effort with her apron. Take five mins to change and wash it- I can understand at the end of the day but when it's at the start of the day there is no excuse. 😕

Ordered three meals for collection. I was told 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready that they only had one meal ready, part of the order had been lost. This is the second time this has happened in a matter of weeks. Last time after waiting in the takeaway for 15 minutes was told they had not received our order. The reason we began collecting is that sometimes would wait up to 1.5 hours for delivery. But even then you end up standing in the shop for half an hour after the pick up time stated. Decent food, but absolutely terrible service.

I had the prawns in oyster sauce, and it was so so salty I couldn't eat much more :( However the fiance had chicken balls and they were beautiful, hand battered, and very fresh! Chips are always lovely and crispy too. Delivery time varies. X

Always call rather than ordering food so can't comment on delivery but food is always freshly cooked in a very reasonable time scale when I call. Food very tasty and public area is always clean as is the customer area. Wouldn't go elsewhere in P'lee for Chinese food.

Food is always really nice and still hot on arrival. Delivery time does take a little longer than expected and although it's a drive it's easier to pick up in shop.

Again ordered in a delivery at 7.20pm it's now 9.00pm and I'm still waiting !! I only live 5mins away from the place. Surely this can't be right almost 2hrs to sort ?????

I'll make it short and sweet, I use this place regularly. I've never had an bad meal and the large portions suit me well. In my opinion it's the best for miles and I've tried them all.

Normally a good standard, food is nice but the last 2 deliveries I have had to call the shop after waiting 2 hours !! I only live 1.4 miles away

This chinese takeaway takes some beating! The new garlic dishes are unbelievable! Plenty of taste to every dish I've ever had and the prawn crackers are lovely! The delivery driver with the van is always polite which is a bonus these days!
