Absolutely amazing food and service the Best Chinese food around 😋

Food I ordered was pipping hot and totally delicious the hot and sour soup was top draw and the satay chicken skewers the nutty source wow that you to there chef and staff 👌🏻🙏🏼

Highly recommend. They have the best home made chips ever 😁 can't go wrong. Never had any problems

The chicken curry spring rolls chips are lovely also so is the special fried rice

Never had a bad main all really tasty, I'd avoid the gravy was more like kfc gravy not your usual chinese one. Little bit more expensive than other places aswell 4/5

By far the best chinese. Never disappointed. Only downside is that its not located at the end of my street so I could order more often.

Just moved to the area so thought we would give this place a go, I have to say what a brilliant Chinese, there chips are the best I’ve tried in a Chinese, and big portions, absolutely fantastic and the girl working out front jezzz she is good and fast and professional, definitely will be returning

We were recommended to try in hope we would find our forever Chinese and China Chef did not disappoint. Female on phone very friendly and efficient, pricing good, good arrived hot and fresh, amazing from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Disgusting beef chow mein if that was real beef I wouldn't like to see the cow it came from, chowing was greasy and inedible will definitely not be ordering anything again

My wife always has the beef and white mushroom the beef is so tender and well cooked I love the crispy beef Peking style so crispy and delicious Great place to takeaway well priced and good size portions

When they get it right this is a decent take away. When they send sweet and sour chicken instead of galengal beef and chicken and it is horrible it is not a decent take away. I messaged them in private twice with my concerns before posting this as I think mistakes happen and problems can be resolved without the need to go on social media. But they did not respond.

Been using China chef for a while now and I’ve had many different choices on the menu and they are all great. The staff are so lovely I always tip the delivery driver they never keep you waiting. I find the price very reasonable as well . Best Chinese in shildon

Always order from here. Good grub, decent prices and delivery time. Roast chicken chow mein fantastic. Update. Recently had incorrect orders delivered, duck instead of chicken etc. Tonights order incomplete, no chips ok. Phoned up to notify them, they offered to send some in half an hour at a cost of £2.20 for chips plus £1.30 for delivery. Chips were included in the cost of the meal and had already paid one delivery charge. Greedy, greedy people, menu in the bin.

Travelled up to Shildon to see family and brother in law said it was the best Chinese he has ever had.....well I like a Chicken Kung Po and wow 👏 superb guys I can't get one like that down here The whole meal we had between 4 of us (different dishes was seriously good) Portion sizes nice and free prawn crackers and spring rolls as we spent over £20 Whats not to like.. Only wish I could get this delivered back home but definately on my to do list next time I'm up your way im still thinking about that Kung Po after 2 days

Thought this place was a gem, sadly they have got greedy and are happy to rip there customers off. Ordered 2 meals for £16 and the chicken had the texture of a carrier bag. If you are reading this review and looking for a Chinese takeaway my advice is go somewhere else if you don't want to eat plastic chicken and fatty pork.

Used to be best chinese takeaway we'd had, really gone downhill, fatty pork and plastic textured chicken at expensive prices. Pure greed

Mixed grill, Chow Mein and Singapore fried rice. Meal was delicious. Gravy on mixed grills can be salty and greasy. China chefs gravy was perfect 👌 Will defo become a regular customer.

Very fast service, excellent choice on the menu and great tasting food.

The food is absolutely first rate. The portions are great and delivery service spot on with pleasant delivery lads and lassies. I feel excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Order takeaway chicken curry chips fried rice the curry was swimming in oil and all in the bottom of the bag and it was stone cold the only reason it is getting two stars is the person I spoke to over the phone was polite and helpful when I complained and offered to replace my food

The food is cold and there is no so called customer service. My order was for duck and pancakes ... when the order arrived it only had pancakes. ... NO DUCK. When I called to inform them of the error I was called a liar. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

the sweet & and sour sauce tastes like washing up liquid, please sort it cos me favourite dish is chicken balls and sweet & sour sauce and I mean I get a lot of Chinese food takeaways and I know how it’s supposed to taste, please sort it

Just watched the England game and was told this chinese was lovely so because i sleep in the wagon i had a curry beef and spring rolls delivered and it was absolutely lovely

Everything I have ordered and eaten from China chef, has been delicious and prepared to a very high standard. Have recommended this takeaway to friends and family. Delivery is usually within an hour but does depend on how busy they are. All delivered food is always hot and delicious.

Nice Chinese with a wide selection to choose from no need to put your shoes on as they deliver and the food's always hot when you get your delivery

Very popular and busy chinese take-a-way, busiest in Shildon. Food is to a good standard and the menu very vast, sometimes wait times are a bit long because it does get VERY busy, and i know they have had chef/staffing problems in the last month or so but now they have new English staff at front of house and ordering is much easier and much more informative, now they clearly tell you howw long it will be and are more helpful. Definately worth a try.

I've been here twice now and both times the food has been great, served very quickly and consistent. Kelly served me both times and was great she really knows how to engage with customers. Thanks x

Lovley food but could be better has gone down hill on the last couple of month. Decor is lovley and mandy front of house is amazing
