The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

I think they sold off their business as there are Indians working now something you never saw before only ever had Chinese working in the shop in there but for a long time now their prices have been rising way too much and the quality has dropped seriously low this is the last time I use this place the food was horrendous the spare ribs were so spare I was amazed to find bone let alone meat. to say this was seriously disappointing is a understatement.

I would recommend the wok n rock as it has really good food especially the sweet and sour chicken and really friendly customer service and they cater for big groups as they catered very well for our table of 12 adults and 5 children , the service was 100% perfect and would just like to say thank you Hollie for everything you did to make mine and my families evening a really enjoyable experience I will be visiting again on my next visit from The Netherlands . Have used this chinese couple of times when we been on holiday on a boat, found the meals very delisious and cheap. we will definitely be coming back.

Sadly, after trying a few of my favorite dishes, the food is not as good. They call the rice dishes "fried" but they aren't. It just looks and tastes liked boiled, lukewarm rice.

Ordered by phone (takeaway only) and was told 15 mins - very quick! Food was ready on arrival, well packed, very hot, mid price range I would say. Order all correct and was absolutely delicious. I’m often disappointed with Chinese but this was lovely. Also, plenty for a second dinner! So good portion sizes. Would use again.

Use to love Ying- but seriously now- nearly £6 for palin boiled rice?!!!! - satay chicken skewers - Boiled Rice Almost £21 WTF 🤬

Had a delivery this evening of Special Chow Mein, Spring Roll and half portion of Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls .. all cooked to perfection all very tasty and delivered hot ! Excellent food!!

We always order from here it is the best Chinese and best service my only complaint today was chicken was lovely n white in fried rice but very dark in chicken chow mein it is usually same as fried rice so a bit disappointing

Had a very good takeaway delivered from here. Tasty crispy beef, sweet and sour chicken + rice and sundries. Arrived hot and had prawn crackers thrown in.

Rang them 6 times starting at an hour and finishing 45 minutes before their stated close time and nobody answered, Absolute shambles.

We ate in at Wamamichi this evening. Very quick, friendly service. The owner was very welcoming. I had the Laksa vegetable and tofu noodle soup, lovely fresh vegetables, and warming spice flavour, perfect for a winter's evening. My partner had the kungpo chicken and rice, which he enjoyed. It was a very generous portion, so we took half home. Also, delicious prawn toast as a side dish. They have recently done up the decor inside, so it looks smart. We will certainly go back or order a takeaway again.

Ordered takeaway got told it would be an hour , 2 hours later and we’re still waiting, after ringing several times we got told it was waiting for a driver and it’s on its way , yet it still didn’t turn up for 45 mins

shocking delivery service from empire house, used this firm before ,no problems, not waiting nearly 2 hours, excuse after excuse, on the plus side the food has always been good
