The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

Big portions and great service from the two ladies. Really good value for money and the best quality Chinese in the area in my opinion.

Absolutely disgusting food.!! Spent £70 here on NYE. Order was messed up. Came with a starter instead of the 2 set meals that were ordered. Rang and told them. No apologies. Just we will make it and send it out when we can. So all the chips and sides were cold by the time they came back. Also told us that they wanted the starter back. Which is fine. But bearing in mind we had opened it in order to see what it was .. in these awful times I hate to think that they are getting food back and then re heating it and sending it to someone else.!! Then when the set meals came every piece of vegetable in them were raw.!! Even the peas were still half frozen. As you can see by the pictures the whole lot went into the bin.. even the chips were not cooked. Not only is this a sanitary issue which I shall be reporting to environmental health. But it’s also an absolute disgrace that you can charge this much money to people knowing that it was inedible. Then conveniently ignore the phone. The inch of oil in the bottom of the satay was disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself. People, avoid this place like the plague else you may well end up with something worse.!!

Lovely Schechuan beef, jasmine tea steamed rice, ate outside facing interesting street. Very convenient location too. Would definitely go back.

The noodles tasted old and not fresh. The vegetables were raw, the chicken balls were all dough. Frankly this was the worst Chinese takaway I've had in my life. Awful. Do not buy from these charlatans.

Interesting experience, but not one I would repeat. Went for lunch with friends. I do like this style of food and I do eat all variations of meat. But...... I ordered the Vermicelli veg pot. Which arrived. The flavour was spicy which I expected and liked. But I ordered the veg pot!! Half way through eating I found clam shells and clams. Beef meat balls and what looked and tasted like slices of luncheon meat and also slices of tofu! I was expecting this dish to be vegetarian! Conclusion if you are vegetarian or have a seafood allergy please check and make sure they understand this!!

Absolutely lovely food, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely recommend. Service was quick and efficient, the food was as expected and was not greasy at all.

Never tried New Manderin before have seen other reviews , some really damming but we thought we would give them a chance ! Big mistake we ordered set meal for one which was sweet sour chicken , egg fried rice and chicken chop suey . The suey was bland and tasteless, the rice omg , terrible ! ...my wife had sweet sour chicken and egg fried rice, the rice again terrible!. Meal for one cost over £ 13.00 and sweet and sour chicken £12.00 ish! ,may aswell chucked money down drain .

there is no Chinese like it I am new to the area and this is the best Chinese I have ever eaten portion sizes was good delivery time was fast and best of all it tasted AMAZING you have just got yourself a new regular

Cold food. Special chow mien no meat in it except a couple of prawns and about 3 bits of chicken. Bland and tasteless egg fried rice. Absolutely never going to yummys again ever. It was disgusting!

Had or first home delivery from here. We chose the special dinner boxes plus the crispy mini veg spring rolls. It was delivered on time and was hot and delicious. Amazingly good value.

Got a takeaway on Saturday 8th June,ordered in person at 6pm for collection at 7:15pm.Food ready and drove home(4miles) and found sweet/sour chicken balls missing!! We didn’t go back or phone as we didn’t want food to go cold.Food was tasty and hot. Lesson to learn:-Check container numbers before you leave or delivery person leave-julesdavis
