The best restaurants serving Chinese food in East of England

Ordered takeaway got told it would be an hour , 2 hours later and we’re still waiting, after ringing several times we got told it was waiting for a driver and it’s on its way , yet it still didn’t turn up for 45 mins

Food delivered was tasteless (Beef Kung Poo), Chicken satay was as tough as old boots with a spicy hot satay sause (!)...........Even a staple of a crispy pancake roll was awful, more a commercial steak bite type thing from Greggs. Avoid this place. We called to inform them of our disappointment but all they could say was 'yeah, yeah, yeah'. Perhaps something was lost in translation. All in all, £42 was wasted. AVOID.

The amount of the food was 40% less than it was last year 2023 The food is the same but not enough for a family where it was more than enough before ...

Arranged a Takeaway and Sure delivered on Time by Delivery By Lee very nice Chap would recommend Veery Polite and Prompt. Also good Food!

Food was ok, however sauces a bit runny! Will be going back to Beijing for next meal just has that quality edge

Big portions and great service from the two ladies. Really good value for money and the best quality Chinese in the area in my opinion.

Second takeaway from win lee, first was bad but like to give places another chance, tonight wasn't good either. First visit asked for Singapore noodles and was told they didn't do vermicelli noodles so had the egg noodles which is basically what I got, very little of anything else. Tonight I had Kung Pao chicken (spicy) which was just strips of chicken in a generic, very runny sweet and sour sauce with absolutely no spice. It was exactly the same sauce served with sweet and sour chicken balls etc. Gave 2 stars because the special fried rice was ok and the service was friendly.

Absolutely disgusting food.!! Spent £70 here on NYE. Order was messed up. Came with a starter instead of the 2 set meals that were ordered. Rang and told them. No apologies. Just we will make it and send it out when we can. So all the chips and sides were cold by the time they came back. Also told us that they wanted the starter back. Which is fine. But bearing in mind we had opened it in order to see what it was .. in these awful times I hate to think that they are getting food back and then re heating it and sending it to someone else.!! Then when the set meals came every piece of vegetable in them were raw.!! Even the peas were still half frozen. As you can see by the pictures the whole lot went into the bin.. even the chips were not cooked. Not only is this a sanitary issue which I shall be reporting to environmental health. But it’s also an absolute disgrace that you can charge this much money to people knowing that it was inedible. Then conveniently ignore the phone. The inch of oil in the bottom of the satay was disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourself. People, avoid this place like the plague else you may well end up with something worse.!!

EXCELLENT CHRISTMAS EVE TAKEAWAY, ORDERED IN SHOP, FOOD PREPARED QUICKLY, DESPITE THE PHONES RINGING NON STOP. OUR ORDER CONSISTED OF HOT AND SOUR SOUP, HOUSE CHOWMEIN, SWEET AND SOUR BATTERED PRAWNS, ( LIGHT CRISP BATTER) AND SINGAPORE NOODLES. THE FOOD WAS HOT AND VERY TASTY. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. PLEASANT STAFF. THANKYOU. DELICIOUS FOOD.

Lovely Schechuan beef, jasmine tea steamed rice, ate outside facing interesting street. Very convenient location too. Would definitely go back.

The food is very good and tasty. The best Chinese in the town. The food is beautiful cook fresh and piping hot. Delivery is very fast. I love the udon noodles and chicken balls. Thank you guys

Waited 40 minutes for takeaway & chicken balls & prawn balls were absolutely awful overcooked & tasted like cooked in old oil

Interesting experience, but not one I would repeat. Went for lunch with friends. I do like this style of food and I do eat all variations of meat. But...... I ordered the Vermicelli veg pot. Which arrived. The flavour was spicy which I expected and liked. But I ordered the veg pot!! Half way through eating I found clam shells and clams. Beef meat balls and what looked and tasted like slices of luncheon meat and also slices of tofu! I was expecting this dish to be vegetarian! Conclusion if you are vegetarian or have a seafood allergy please check and make sure they understand this!!

Haven’t had a bad takeaway from here, until tonight. Ordered at 7pm - it arrived at 7.18pm - which tells me there’s no way that the food has been cooked freshly. Chicken satay was hard and dry, rice stuck together, food was luke warm - shame as we usually enjoy Mr Q takeaway
