The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Colchester East of England

Very delicious authentic Sichuan cuisine. Most of the customers were Chinese. The restaurant was quiet and had a nice atmosphere, so I was able to have a relaxing dinner. As soon as the tea runs out, hot water is added, so you don't have to worry about the food being spicy.

Far too spicy!! Had a pad Thai and a sheshwan chicken - both dishes very uninteresting and FULL of chilli. It made it inedible for us all and we had to bin the lot. Really disappointing

have had so many deliveries from here..all delivered on time by friendly drivers..always hot and freshly cooked..wonderful flavours..great value for money

I ordered a chinese from here as my local one was closed for 2 weeks . Worst Chinese I have ever had . Chow mein and rice appalling and sweet and sour sauce tasted like bbq. Waste of my money I would not order again

We’ve been going to Wongs for at least 30 years, first Tim and now Tom. Lovely food and always ready on time. Tom recognises who I am as soon as I say hello. I would definitely recommend them.😃

We went not realising it had changed from buffet self service to order as you go. It was good that all was cooked as you order but the selection wasn’t as vast as previously. The waitress literally stood a foot away from us which was off putting and she kept trying to get my son to ask for sausages and nuggets, I said we didn’t want these but she still brought them out. The food was nice but we won’t be rushing back.

After being recommended Tins on the Colchester Vegan page I placed an order. However, there was chicken in my tofu in black bean sauce dish. This is absolutely unacceptable, cross contamination like this can cause serious incidents.

Literally sat in the restaurant still eating this mate this katsu curry is immense, highly recommend

I treated my son to dinner here whilst visiting him in Colchester. To start we shared Crispy Duck which was lovely. Next time we’ll treat ourselves to their really traditional Peking Duck! To follow I had Crispy Noodles with Seafood and my son had Beef in Black Bean Sauce with Singapore Noodles. All were delicious with huge portions - everyone was taking food home. Service was excellent. We’ll be back.

Food was ok, however sauces a bit runny! Will be going back to Beijing for next meal just has that quality edge

Good food, beautiful environment, a place that I always have gathering with friends.

Food was lovely. Eat as much as you want for 23. pounds. Staff were so friendly. Would highly recommend. Will be going back there.
