Food was so cold & solid had to be reheated

Excellent and authentic Korean food. The army stew is great and thoroughly recommended.

Went to collect food at 8.15 as instructed. Still waiting in the cold for the food at 9.15. We complained and got given two free beers. Not good enough when we kept being told another 20mins, then another 20 mins. If we had been told it was an hour late then we wouldn't of waited outside the venue in the cold.

All the food we ordered are great and tasty! Definitely will visit again next time! The seafood pancake is crispy and full of begs and seafood. The glass noodles is nice match my expectation!

Their Jajangmyeon was terrible. I questioned if they used the low-quality instant ones. We dined twice there to give them a chance to prove that I was wrong before posting this review. Sadly, we found no improvement in their food quality. Plus, the price wasn't reasonable.

The food was very good- the chicken wings had a lot of meat on them and paired with the sauce very well, and the noodles had a lot of flavour. Decent portion sizes and a reasonable price for both dishes. However, the service needs to be sorted out: - No greeting at the beginning or acknowledgement of even having arrived. - No water or any other type of drink offered without having to frantically wave at the waiting staff after having being seated for 10 minutes. - Having to repeat the same frantic waving for both placing our food order and getting the bill. Being served by a silent waiter wearing a giant puffy coat who didn't change his facial expression once during the entire 2 hours I was there. - No 2nd drinks or desserts mentioned, so we didn't bother asking. Thankfully the issues seem easy to fix, and if so, I'd definitely visit again!

We came to this restaurant 2 weeks ago on a saturday lunch time, not busy with only 3 table occupied. It took 50 minutes for any food to arrive and no acknowledgement of this from staff. My sister ordered some fresh kimchi moments after her food arrived and it took 15 minutes to come. Kimchi is pre-made, it doesn't take a chef or even a waitress 15 minutes to plate!! My sister was disappointed and had nearly finished her food before it had arrived. While waiting for the said kimchi, observed staff ducking their head in the kitchen eating, not attentive to the needs of customers. My kimchi jigae had very little actual meat or tofu, mostly just cabbage and broth so not very filling at all. Orded kimbap which I was excited for, this is a rarity to find in any restuarant in the Uk. I've been to korean and ate kimbap regularly, this was poorly rolled, tiny portion and sad presentation. I've had better looking kimbap rolls from 7Eleven in korea. I really want this restuarant to do better as korean food isn't common in essex but I'm not coming back any time soon.

I went on a trip to Colchester and had it delivered. I will leave an honest review. 1. There is no kimchi in pork kimchi stew, but cabbage. It's too salty 2. European friends said that the bulgogi was delicious, but for my taste, the bulgogi was too salty and there were no vegetables such as carrots at all. I would like to ask whether the cooking environment is clean and whether food is prepared while wearing a sanitary hat. 3. It is not authentic Korean food. It appears to be run by Asians from other countries, not Koreans. Eating real Korean food is close to impossible in the UK. If you want to eat something similar to Korean food, go to New Malden or Wimbledon around London or Kingston.

Excellent service, food and atmosphere for a semi casual dinner date with friends. Waitress was very kind and attentive, cannot stress how impressed I was by the food, shared a selection of dishes between us and all went home full and happy.

Not the best experience. We were served undercooked chicken wings which is a huge salmonella danger and could lead to foodborn illness. Even worst, only 2 wings were undercooked, so we ate a few before noticing the issue, and one still had pink/bloody bits left next to the bone 😔.The waitress took it back to the kitchen, and the chef wasn't happy about the complaint. Eventually the waitress took it off the bill, but it was an uncomfortable situation, as we could hear the chef being outspoken about the complaint ... Really nice waitress, but very unpleasant experience in the restaurant 😕

If you're looking for good Korean food, packed full of juice and flavour this is definitely the place, the place is extremely clean and even though the venue is small they make it look very spacious! The server was lovely and she was quick and attentive even when I asked for an extra after we ordered which she quickly brought over, overall everything we ordered was fairly priced and extremely tasty and will definitely be coming here again!

Loved it here, myself and my dad ordered loads of little dishes to share to get a taste of a lot more food and everything was AMAZING! Was in the perfect position to eat before the cinema across the road and was honestly some of the best Korean food i have ever eaten - would definitely recommend it. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the dishes!

It absolutely fulfilled my expectations. The menu was amazing had to restrain myself from ordering too much. Lovely food, fresh and hot. Totally adding this to my favourite places to go. Friendly and helpful a hidden gem. Prices were really good too

Our server was absolutely lovely and so patient with my very indecisive family who I went with. In total, we were a group of 5 people and all ordered one thing each totalling to £70 - I found this very reasonably priced. We ordered the chicken udon, chicken buns, beef bulgogi, boneless chicken, and cheese dduk bok gi, which was mine and absolutely the best I'd ever had! I sometimes find it too be a bit too sweet for my taste, but I found the sauce to be not overly sweet and I thought the portion size was perfect to finish before hitting that sickly sweet feeling I sometimes get with this dish in other places. My dad really enjoyed his beef bulgogi (despite my unfortunately blurry picture), which was actually still sizzling in the pan when it was brought out and smelled amazing. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a great atmosphere as well!

Delightful experience at this Korean gem in Colchester! The Chicken Katsu was a savory delight, and the hot Korean chicken wings had the perfect kick. Service was excellent, and the ambiance added to the enjoyment. Dining with an infant was easy as they had high chairs and accommodated our requests. Highly recommend!

This place is a bit of a hidden gem, eat here often, the food and the staff are always amazing, I've never been let down. Surprised so few people have tried it but when ever I take someone new here they always leave having loved the experience.

The jajangmyeon was a but sad. Portion wise was smaller than I expected. I wished they served it in a bowl instead as it was awkward to mix it in a plate. And classically jajangmyeon should have some yellow daikon radish on the side but there wasnt any. Flavour wise of the noodles werent too great either, I have had better. Kimchi pancake was good but portion wise was too small. Bibimbap wasnt too bad, its the best dish amongst the three but the heat from the hot stone bowl of the bibimbap was their only saving grace.

The food was not very traditional Korean food but more like Chinese food. It may because the owner and staff are mainly Chinese. The price was reasonable and the service was great.

Love the food, love the ambiance. It's a great restaurant for a date or a fun time every situation fits. Would advise to book in advance it's very small and would be difficult if to get in you didn't book

Great food at a reasonable price, I had a drink, starter, main and dessert for £20. Wide selection of food for all tastes. Smashing service, friendly, helpful and not at all pushy, l had a lovely relaxed lunch.

It was my first time trying Korean food and it was so delicious! The service was very good as well, we didn't have to wait too long for our meals. I would definitely come back!

What a gem! Lovely staff and really good food. If you like a bit of chilli heat in your food then this is the place. If you don't, this is the place. Really good value and generous portions, especially in the bowl meals. Lovely kimchi, as would be expected. The wine is drinkable and cheap for a restaurant. It is located opposite the Curzon and is great for a pre or post meal.

Food is great but the delivery time was way too long we ordered at 5:30 and it turns up at 7:05….

The best, most delicious takeaway food I have ever had anywhere! It was a search for something different that prompted me to order and I was so pleasantly and delightfully surprised. The Korean wings were scrumptious, the katsu chicken was delicious, I have leftover kimchi which will be fabulous on its own, and I look forward to reordering and finding my way through the menu.

Great food. But venue was so cold and the front door wouldn't close properly, which wasn't great on an all ready cold day.

The bibimbap is very sad, with only few veggies and tons of spicy sauce, the rice are just plain rice without any trace of the burn,crunchy flavour or scent from stone pot. Kimchi pancake is so dry that hurt your teeth and deep fried rice cake isn't really deep fry.........Shame that this is the only Korean restaurant in town, and charged like you pay in London

Bibimbap was super delicious but missed kimchi. Staff unfriendly and impolite with us, they need some training. I asked a tea (come in teapots, 2£ person) and my husband did not want any drink. I offered my husband to try the tea and staff came immediately at us saying that he has to pay one more tea if he wants tea. very embarassing. The lady serving us was 100% focused on guarding the tea rather than if we have a good experience as customers. It was so much tea that I left more than half of it in the teapot, while my husband was afraid to take a sip lol😄I asked for extra chilli sauce and she insisted that is sufficient in the bibimbap but in the end she brought me the sauce. For take away I recommend the food though.

This is the 5th or 6th time here. The food is delicious, it arrives quickly and the staff are attentive and polite. One of my favourite restaurants. I had a lovely mother's day meal here today and we are all very grateful for your excellent service. X

We ate here recently, and had high hopes, but it turns out we were disappointed. Food was terrifyingly expensive, bland and sooo greasy. My chicken had gristle or bone in, the noodles were tasteless and swimming in oil. The Calamari was good though. Wouldn't recommend, certainly won't visit again.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday. I’ve eaten in many different restaurants and this food was served piping hot . We all had something different so could try each other’s dishes . Overall hot tasty food .We will be back .

Great selection of various tasty dishes, each time we visit the area we make a point of popping in for lunch. Daughter loves the hot spicy food.

Food was cold. Box of noodles wasn't even full up (£9)! The sirloin steak was chewy and looked like it had just been heated up. A real shame, as I've ordered from here a few times and it was really good.

Can't comment on authenticity but food is absolutely delicious and service is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend beef bulgogi and pork bibimbap.

The food was below average. Service was poor and the food took 40 minutes to come. The host was hard of hearing and unwelcoming. I do no recommend spending a penny in this establishment.
