The best restaurants serving Chinese food in England

We’re a family of five so took advantage of the mid week offer 5 starters, 5 mains, 5 drinks. Quality of food is excellent, speedy service between courses, staff pleasant and polite. My recommendation is crispy chicken with honey & lemon, king prawn with black bean veg, beef with mushroom. All hot and tasty. Parking is limited to the surrounding streets so add time to walk. Disabled access is limited as tables are close together so check in advance if this is an issue. Happy to recommend

We haven't been here for a while and the food was lovely The service was ok but there was not a single smile from the service staff, I understand the language barriers but throughout the world everyone knows what a smile is and the difference it makes. As we pay for a service and good food I expect a better attitude so it does put me off returning and to be honest the place was empty which was unusual in the past.

We had a party of 14 people a couple were late however the meal was delivered swiftly. Fillet beef was very chewy.very disappointed with the other meals served Szechuan beef resembled soup with wafer thin beef slices. The serving staff had no manners barged past for plates when we were finished catching one of our party. What’s gone wrong with the place? it’s unfortunately gone down hill and relying on its once mighty reputation. We sadly won’t be back

This restaurant was recommended to us by someone with coeliac disease as gluten free. We were placing an order and when we asked to confirm that it was gluten free they agreed. When we checked the different fryers/oil were used for gluten and non gluten items, they confirmed that the same fryers are used for both and that it is gluten friendly rather than gluten free! There is no such thing as gluten friendly! You cannot use the same fryers for gluten containing food.

The food was warm at best. Our main dinner we were eating was cold by the time we had a second serving. We had to rush our dinner and offered our bill before we even got to finish eating and still had drinks leftover. The restaurant had 5 empty tables in the back and yet we were being asked to leave. Having paid £75 for 2 people you should be able to enjoy your dinner at your own pace not shovel it down and then asked to leave. We will not return.

Celebrating my wife’s birthday the service was excellent for the four of us. We had banquet A, the food was excellent and we will return again and would recommend anyone eating here.

A trip here is always a treat. We are local but don't go often. Plan to change that. The food is excellent, recommend the lamb starter and the chilli and salt beancurd starter. Mains were sweet and sour pollock and the peking sliced pork with celery and onion. The special fried rice was great. The staff are kind and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit already. There is also a lunchtime special for £12.95.

Over priced and over cooked. Service was average ( no finger bowl or wet wipes after the dim sum, glad we brought our own). The price was double what we would normally pay for a Chinese night out. Very disappointed.
