Very unassuming place from the outside but...wow. Had the tasting menu with wine flight for our wedding anniversary. The entire meal was sensational. Each dish was cooked perfectly, and every ingredient mattered. Service was impeccable; all the waiters and the sommelier were charming and efficient. Cannot praise this place enough.

Although loud and overran with small children (neither things can be helped by the restaurant). The Service was very good even though we were a very awkward table with members of the party; being late, in the bathroom, and refusing to order, our waitress Mansi was fantastic. Everything we ordered was received correctly, promptly and all at once as we requested. And my goodness was it good! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys South-east Asian cuisine. Really good stuff!

Really good service by Daisy and Gouri. Don’t expect food to be as spicy as it is back home. However, they are still really good.

Tried their salt and chillie chicken and it was the worst i have ever had. Quantity was tiny and I paid £19 for that thing. Made me mad literally. Ambience was great on the other side.

What a fantastic meal we had here in the city centre restaurant. Every member of staff were friendly and accommodating and the service was great. I’m vegetarian and my friend wheat and dairy intolerant (what a pair eh?)! The menu was so fantastic it was hard to choose but I overheard the lovely waitress mention the cauliflower kimchi dish saying it was her favourite. Kimchi can be a bit hit and miss for me but it was perfect as were the accompanying fried salt and pepper tofu and amazing sichuan hand cut noodles. My friend’s pan fried salmon in teriyaki sauce was also perfect. All dishes were a great size (and I have a de ent appetite). We had two huge Singapore slings to top off a great evening. I would definitely recommend Chamber 36 and feel sad I’ll probably never go back to Liverpool……just for this place alone.

Husbands birthday, I took cake day before, we had an amazing view! Fantastic service and the food was amazing! Thank-you to all at the wet Wok for making my husband’s birthday feel so special! We did have a couple bottles wine and with dinner it was all very good value! We had the set meal, was all delicious!

We tried this place after reading all the rave reviews but we we’re sadly disappointed with the food, definitely not authentic and very bland, had better tasting microwave curry’s, the restaurant itself was very nice and clean just a shame about the food

We went for my 81 birthday and we really enjoyed the food it was brilliant ive been all over the world and love chinese food even in Hong Kong i would recommend Lings to enyone you will not be disapointed the staff and the owener were very nice people 10/10 from the 4 of us so enjoy Billy & Agnes &Terry &Sue

Good service and food for the number of people around the table. Not rushed to be out after the meal.

Went for Sunday buffet. £17.50 each. Interesting variety of Chinese food, (different to normal buffets which added to the experience), fun experience. As you would expect with a buffet, some of the meat was not the best quality I felt.

A fairly small, simple and quaint restaurant, but excellent value and delicious Chinese food. The chicken and sweetcorn soup is some of the best I have ever tasted. Well seasoned and the texture is perfect, as often some places make it way too gloopy. The prawn toast had more prawn in it than virtually every other place i have been, furthermore you can tell its homemade rather than the oh so common freezer to fryer ones made with a prawn and chicken mix. The hot garlic beef steak was absolutely divine, so tender and spicy, a standout dish. Only downside, the sweet and sour wasn’t great, I have much better elsewhere, but the rest of the food is so good it doesn’t bother me, I just don’t order it anymore! If you have somewhere to eat at home, there isn’t much advantage to eating out at the restaurant compared to as a takeaway as its a simple setting, but regardless the staff have always been very friendly and catered to our needs well. The best Chinese in Bowness/Windermere and it’s not even close! (And trust me, at the time of writing we have been to them all!)
