Was very busy, midweek. Friendly staff, great service. Didnt have to wait long for our food, which was delicious

He not let me to order ny thing. Because I ask so many questions he said. Really disappointing I try to order 1 vegitable fried rice 1 salt and paper chicken 1 salt nd paper fish Stream vegitable That's all I order. He even not understanding what I ask. And he stater wy said pls order some wear also. 😞😞 People order some food because of hungry but Said like this it's no good. This is all the food are related all the other Chinese fish and chips places. Only this People not heard about the food i ask. What a shame. This is the top rated place in Google search. Totally wrong.

Poor, called on a Tuesday to book table for 2 upon arriving a large party of over 50 people all shouting and singing was not told about a party taking place after driving from city centre wasting my night poor service and communication for staff to simply laugh dont waste your time

Nice food, really quick as well…and hot. Only downside is the staff are clearing the table when people are still eating really puts me off just wait till where all finished.

Excellent service, nice friendly cosy atmosphere. Started with soup, best we have had in a long time and the mains were served piping hot! The food was delicious and didn’t leave you with that heavy full feeling you get in some Chinese restaurants. Definitely our new favourite!!

Regular visitor for dining in and takeaway . Went for takeaway- ok ribs were good but not as hot as usual, prawn crackers were stale/chewy (usually beautiful and crisp) and the egg fried rice lacked egg. Not up to the usual standard and we were so looking forward to it! Also we’ve stopped ordering the soft noodles and bean sprouts (which we loved!) as they just don’t taste the same anymore…

Prefer Ten Dragons, but this place is superb

A warm welcome. Arrived with just an hour till closing on a Sunday evening, but not rushed and enjoyed really delicious food. Great place, friendly staff, fab food.

Visited yesterday for first time tho’ a local for 2yr. Arrived ‘on spec’ at5.30 with lady friend. Restaurant . Busywith pleasant staff constantly busy, A table pre-booked for 7.30 was found for us. the restaurant has an extensive menu plenty of meals £12.50 for mains. Mine was delicious. Am considering returning today if they are open Sunday?

Me and my wife went mid week for a late tea. Food spot on as always. Sui mai are amazing. I had the char Sui curry also amazing. Portions are huge and staff great.

First time visiting the nine dragons very clean, staff very welcoming,food amazing loads of vegetarian options and prices are very reasonable enjoyed my visit will be going again soon

Ordered some food and was very bland, salt and pepper chips was like having just chips. Chicken and sweetcorn soup? Had 2 spoons and had to bin it, bland just water and tasted like tined soup. Bbq ribs super hard no taste either. Paid £35 and had to bin 3/4 of food! Waste of money. Disappointed!

Sorry to say, our third time here was not a nice experience. The service was slow, one of the meals were cold and they even gave us the wrong bill. No apologies and the Manager was discourteous.. We will not be going again...

Wednesday night, quite busy but managed to get a table for two. Quick, polite service and the meal was lovely. We ordered banquet A for 2. £25 pp. Plenty of food, too much for us, they kindly boxed the leftovers up

Asked for special fried rice. Food absolutely disgusting. Unable to eat any of it. Nothing worse than getting horrible food when you hungry. Disappointed

Great food, Great Staff, always busy no matter when you go loads of choice at good prices. We went for mothers day party of 10 and it was spot on from the food to the service and to the staff as always. Keep it up Peter and co. Looking forward to our next visit.

Visited with our very good friends. The food was excellent as was the welcome from all the staff and the owner. The restaurant was extremely busy with a very big party which took up a good 45% of the restaurant, and yet although the chefs must have been very busy our food was 1st class. During my visit to Liverpool at the end of January, my friend and I stumbled upon the Nine Dragon Chinese Restaurant around 8 p.m., and to our surprise, we were the only customers at the time. Initially, we were a bit concerned about the lack of patrons, but any doubts quickly dissipated as we indulged in some of the most delicious Chinese cuisine we've ever tasted. The dishes served were not only incredibly flavorful but also generously portioned. While everything we ordered exceeded our expectations, there was one minor hiccup with the egg fried rice, which felt slightly dry and lacked a bit of seasoning. If the chef intended to create a balance that would complement the other dishes we ordered, then that itself is commendable. Despite the slight dryness, the lack of greasiness in the fried rice was actually refreshing, and it was the only drawback we could find. Overall, the dining experience at the Nine Dragon Chinese Restaurant was outstanding, and we left feeling satisfied and impressed by the quality of the food and service. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Chinese cuisine in Liverpool, and we look forward to returning to explore more of their menu in the future.

Fabulous restaurant. Spotlessly clean. High quality food and very generous portions. All food ordered was tasty, not oily and appetising to look at. Staff were very polite. Highly recommend. We will definitely visit again soon. *advise you to book. Thursday evening and fully booked which is a good sign in itself.

Four people dining,,Everything went well until two out of four meals came 15 min late, then the bill came to £188.50, ?????? £55 more than menu prices, Be careful and check your final bill

Never had any issues with food from here, always good quality. Service usually very good (sometimes they get really busy) and it's always clean and a nice place to enjoy dinner.

Been here a few times now and tried different dishes every time, not had a bad one yet.. food amazing and service excellent.. it's become one of our favorites.

Excellent Chinese restsursnt with a fantastic menu and wonderful staff. The kin do ribs are outstanding as is the steak Cantonese. It feels like a home from home place from the welcome to the attentive service.

Another excellent night of fine food. Starter was half an aromatic duck with pancakes. Main was extremely tender beef in spicy Cantonese sauce. The portions are always challenging making it great power for the pound.

We went here last week. My 10 month old needed her nappy changing as she had pooed. They have no baby changing facilities and told me to change her on the floor in the toilet! Absolutely disgusting. Will never be back

Had a wonderful first experience at Nine Dragons on our date night. There are a few banquet options available with the most expensive being £35, but we decided to order off banquet as wanted to try some different items and were not sure on portion sizes. Food was amazing and portion sizes really generous. To be honest, we could have ordered half the amount of food and we ended up bringing lots of left overs home. We booked a table for 8:30 but decided to go a little early and they changed the time no problem despite being really busy. The staff were super friendly and check in before they bring each course to make sure you are ready. Food was delicious and very fresh. Will definitely return here.

Visited here with friends for a catch up, food was lovely big portions so make sure you go hungry. Pleasant decor and nice atmosphere. A little on the pricey side but good food. The staff are fabulous very friendly and polite 😀 😊. This is a big plus for me. Definitely service with a smile.

Turned up without a booking on a Saturday night. We expected to be turned away as it was very busy. But they found a table for us. The waiting staff were very friendly and the food was nice, be careful the portions are large we over ordered. They offered to pack it for us to takeaway. Unfortunately we couldn't as we were stopping in a local hotel.

Managed to squeeze us in at short notice. Portions were large and food was of a good standard. Only gripe would be curry could be a little spicier was a little too tame compared to what we are used to locally in Scotland. Staff wsre attentive and cannot fault them. . Will use again next time we are in Liverpool

NOW AVOID!! Been to this place many times, and I am not a cheap spender, I bring all my family and friends. Today I arrived at 4pm and the place was empty. There were 2 of us, I asked for a bigger table as we have a bit appetite and like to spend money and they refused so I paid for my drinks and left. Baring in mind the 2 seater tables are very small and only big enough for 2 plates. I was expecting more from the head, considering how much money I spend. Their loss I’m off to Jimbos where they are happy to please their customers and I will never give another penny to this place!

Booked for a Sunday night to celebrate son's birthday. We have often used Nine Dragons for both sit in and take away but on this occasion we weren't impressed with the food nor the surroundings. Dirty tables when we arrived and food on the floor. Staff are lovely though

Ordered beef chow main and got given some snide boiled chicken instead it was not even edible, the curry sauce was the blandest sauce I’ve ever had and the crispy chilli beef was not even crispy. Wouldn’t ever go back vile

Booked here for New Year after hearing the food was nice, and wish I'd booked elsewhere. Staff nice but food nothing special. We ordered extra food and wasnt until we'd paid and left we realised it wasn't brought out with the rest of the food (our fault for not noticing but we were charged) haven't a clue why some people rave about this place, been to far better chinese restaurants.

We live in London but were visiting family in Liverpool. This was our first time in this restaurant. My first piece of advice is check reviews before you go. The portions are huge so be careful how many you order. The food was very good and the service was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant

This restaurant needs closing down found flys in my food it’s had a 1 star hygiene review I thought it may of changed its ways since humiliated in echo so tried it again and no surprise sick as a dog with food poisoning stay away chippy next door much safer ruined my New Year’s Eve celebrations stay well we’ll clear

Soup was disgusting. Dim Sum was an absolute disgrace. Duck was average at best. Such poor food! Never again! 😏

Great place, good food, affordable prices

Hard to fault our visit here. We phoned to book around a hour before we wanted a table and despite being very busy, we (two of us) were “squeezed in”. Service was fast and cheerful. despite the business. The waiter seemed surprised when we went for a starter each and when they arrived, it was easy to see why. Our BBQ ribs were practically a meal in their own right. We despatched them with enthusiasm. Perhaps too much enthusiasm in hindsight as the main courses (chicken chow mein and special fried rice) were huge and we struggled to make much of an impact before downing cutlery at bursting point and opting for the “doggy bag” that was offered. Overall maybe a but pricey for an evening meal (£50 for two, including a drink each) but as the doggy bag did us for lunch and an evening snack the next day, there was serious value overall. Definitely recommended, but book ahead as very popular.

wasnt impressed. went through week when they wasnt busy and they rushed us out the door. put bill down andcame back with card machine to pay bill before we had even finished our food. didnt bring drinks out we ordered and started pretending he couldnt understand me when i asked them why they are rushing us. we would never go back again

Hadn't booked but we got a table. Staff were very attentive friendly. Meal arrived huge portions, nicely cooked and tasty, shame we had left so much the waitress offered us take away boxes but as we were in a local hotel we had to decline, noticed lots of people having to take away the remaining food.

Went last night for our tea 3 of us food was OK curry was like water after 10 mins and very pricey for what we had never again

Visited this restaurant with family as my nephew was keen to go. I thought the quality of the food was poor. I ordered the sizzling beef and felt the beef was very poor quality. Other members of the party also commented on the meat quality. I felt it was overpriced and it was not a pleasant experience. I won’t be going again.

Manged to get in early and hadn't booked. Which was great. Food was top notch 👌 but accessibly for wheelchair access let it down. Needs a ramp or something.

Superb food, reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and attentive! I’ve been a few times and have had a terrific meal each and every time.

Came here on a recommendation and boy it was truly awful! Ordered the hot and sour soup which is supposed to be dark in colour the hot part coming from white pepper and sour from Chinese vinegar this was pale orange and was unbelievably sweet. An authentic hot and sour is NOT sweet if I had wanted something sweet I would of ordered a dessert! The main course was average but by then the damage had been done. My advice go to ju fu in maghull so much better!

Went here a couple of nights ago. Have been here several times before and the food is fantastic. However, one of our party has Coeliac disease and cannot eat gluten. No problem, we thought, the gluten free options there were extensive last time we went. I went online to check the menus just in case and the menu has "GLUTEN FREE" in very large green letters right there on the front. We turned up for our allotted booking and sat down and ordered drinks. Then we asked the waiter for the gluten free menu and he just pointed at the menus on the table and walked away. So I thoughT, "Ok, it has a huge, green, GLUTEN FREE on the front so maybe the entire menu is now GF. I called another waiter to confirm this and he said, "Oh we don't do gluten free any more as the kitchen is too small to guarantee there would be no cross-contamination" So we had to get up and leave as soon as we had arrived. A bit embarrassing with every other party looking at you like you've grown an extra head. They were very apologetic to be fair but it did ruin a birthday night out So, Nine Dragons, please remove the enormous GLUTEN FREE from the front of both your online and on-table menus.
