Can’t describe how bad the food was, my wife got sweet & sour balls and the sauce was literally jelly. It was awful. I got satay chicken and same again, bits of chicken in a gloopy satay sauce. Chips were meh, and the prawn crackers tasted weird, can’t put my finger on what it was tho. Wasted £20, never again unfortunately, shame as it used to be the one of the best.

Sunday 18:15 - Ordered a several items from special fried rice, special chow mein, chicken in satay sauce, plain chow mein, chicken and prawn balls, stir fried vegetables, an order totalling £62, the gentleman taking the order was friendly and helpful but the food was terrible, every single dish was bland and either mushy or over cooked. The special chow mein was burnt and had a burnt taste throughout, definitely not wok hey. Special rice was bland and mushy, chicken/prawn balls tiny and dry and sweet sour sauce bland. Veg dishes very bland. Chicken in satay sauce had some taste but very mild. When collecting the place was very very run down, windows on the restaurant were smashed and taped over. Cash only as well. Would not recommend.

Check out the Council hygiene status of this establishment. The window shows a 5. The real hygiene status is 1, as quoted on the Environmental Agency website. Today, the BBC have published a report about the number of establishments that lie about thier hygiene status. It's better to check their website than rely on the stickers in the window. 23/4/25 Good to see that they have made an effort to improve thier standards. It's now a hygiene status of 3.

Had a sausage dinner, it was around 4:30pm, the sausages were obviously heated up from the day before, as they were very dry and hard at the ends, the meat was terrible quality, all I could taste was salt from the gravy, I didn't ask for salt and vinegar either, way better chippy's around
