Brilliant local Chinese takeway! One of the best in the Dunfermline area, always fast and fresh when ordered! The BBQ ribs and traditional chow mein are not to be missed.

I ordered a snackbox which included chicken balls and chips (comes with a sauce) when ordering i asked politely for the small amount of satay sauce that would have been poured over, to be in a small separate container instead (i wasn't expecting a full size container of sauce). I was told this wasn’t possible. Bit of background, i have extremely sensitive stomach (awaiting diagnosis) therefore i have to be super careful with what i eat and i know my own limits. I can only consume small amounts of sauce before it becomes a major issue. I explained that i cannot have them together. the woman mumbled and placed my order, i thought that this was okay. Upon getting home i realised they had poured the sauce all over my food even though i asked that not to be done. The top layer was edible but anything underneath was layered up in sauce and had to be binned to avoid being in incredible pain. Had the sauce been on the side i could have had my own amount and ate the rest dry. Really disappointed with the service and being completely ignored. I won’t be back ordering again. It’s 2024 and people with possible and/or allergies/intolerances or anything along those lines should be able to adapt their food slightly in order to enjoy it. The small amount i did have wasn’t great

Chicken fried rice no gravy add soy sauce. Not for the first time I get a bland chicken breast on top of fried rice. Honestly. Never used to come like that always fried in soy sauce. Looking for a new Chinese

Great food, decent delivery and love the fact you can customize dishes, particularly if you don't like too many chillies!!

We have used this takeaway for a good few years but have recently found a downturn in quality. I had chow mein which consisted of a bunch of noodles in the bottom of the tub with the meat and sauce then ladled on top - no attempt to provide a mixed through dish. My wife had duck and plum sauce and threw away half of it, she then had food poisoning. We will not be back. Clearly the chef or even owners have changed because what was a great takeaway is now terrible.

GENUINELY THE WORST! Without sounding dramatic, the food was disgusting! PLEASE DO BETTER. The order was also incorrect, which I understand can happen, but even the random meal we received was horrible. The chicken in my Sweet and Sour Crispy Chicken was mushy, and the batter was soggy and weird. The large pancake rolls were also soggy!!! we picked the meal up and drove 5 min home, it should not be like that after 5 min in a container.

Nothing bad to say at all. Came in off the cuff with my daughter, ordered half the menu and we were not disappointed - the bbq crispy chicken wings were by far the family favourite though. Absolutely delicious 🤤

First and last time using this take away tonight. Food was just awful and some of our order was incorrect. Not sure how they are cooking poss steaming? But all meat soft n soggy! Completely tasteless too did arrive hot though mostly went in bin. Really disappointing!

Was staying at a friend's house last night and we decided to order from here they said 45 mins it was here within 15 got me wondering if the food was fresh cooked I doubt it I never seen chicken chow main like this and I can honestly say I don't think the chicken was fresh I looked like frozen chicken strips that tou get in a big bag from farm foods my friends curry was so full of grease you could cook chips in it my friend never ordered from this place and never will again and to be honest I won't order or recommend this place to anyone

Running a call centre scam from within the restaurant. Got a call from someone from your business claiming they were calling on behalf of EE, trying to get me to purchase a phone.

I'm never disappointed with any food I get from there. Great vegetarian choices, prompt delivery and I really like salt spicy seasoning they use. I also appreciate free fortune cookies I get with every order. Definitely recommend.

I ordered an egg fried rice and I was shocked after taking it home. While ordering I asked them to add an extra egg in the fried rice and they gave a small omelette on the top of fried rice which is tasteless and the fried rice doesn’t have any scrambled egg in it. I don’t know if it’s a miscommunication or their dish itself is just like that.

I paid £10.70 for Duck (5 small pieces) in black bean sauce which included 50p extra for a few beanshoots and £3.80 because I wanted noodles ( which amounted to a pack of plain Super Noodles (no veg or anything).. The only thing that was not lacking in excess was salt; there was certainly plenty of that, making it practically inedible. Disgraceful to sell this. Avoid.

I was charged extra for a bag without even being asked if I needed one. I didn't need one and had no option to not have it.

These guys are consistently good. I have been buying from Rice Delight for years and they never let me down. Still five star food and service. Keep up the good work chef and your team.

Inexhaustible menu, delicious meals and great customer service

Absolutely vile food. Curry swimming in oil. Even the boiled rice was clumped together and hard. Soggy springs rolls. £35 worth of food, straight in the bin. Should have ordered from anyone of the other local Chinese takeaways. Never again !

Wouldn’t recommend…tasteless food. Portion of mushrooms were practically raw and covered in congealed thick gravy…vile! Prawn crackers were crumbled and lacking texture, chicken curry bland!

Ordered from here and the food came cold and raw. The chicken balls weren’t cooked and I was terribly ill for days after. Do NOT Reccomend.

Not my go to Chinese as is better places around but the food is good and staff are super friendly and good prices so no complaints just prefer the options at other places as I am a vegetarian and the options they have are good but not my favourite.

In my opinion the best Chinese takeaway in Dunfermline, the food is always freshly made and good quality. The prices are a little bit more expensivethan other takeaways but it's worth it.

Ordered a takeaway tonight. Didn't get what I ordered. I called to let them know. They offered a credit note and not a delivery which we needed. The time before that they said I ordered the the wrong item, dispite my wife overhearing the call. I had to drive round after the delivery to collect the right order. Really poor!

Great meal cooked to perfection

Good standard from the team, if anything delivery can some times be slow but I suppose they can get very busy and the food always tastes fresh.

Worst ‘Thai’ food we have ever had. Avoid this place. £40 down the drain. Ordered a red curry and a green curry and 2 other mains plus satay to start. No peanut taste at all in the satay, and the ‘curry’s’ were frankly awful. Thought we would try for a change without looking at reviews. Never ever again..

Ordered from here a while back. Nice waiting area, surrounded by a nice area too; but don’t let that fool you. I ordered beef chow mein. Barely any beef, and the chow mein was certainly not fresh by any means, almost as if it had been microwaved because it was all stuck together. The curry had a consistency similar to that of a thick tar. Absolutely rancid food and most definitely won’t be back

got a delivery last night two chicken breast curries with the usual chips and rice but for some reason the curry was like it was floating with oil on top and the sauce lying at bottom of the container never had anything like it terrible

I ordered a carry out at 18.09 after asking how long it would be for delivery"about an hour" was the answer If the truth has been told I would have probably gone and picked it up.It finally arrived at 19.38 stone cold and almost inedible. Really disappointed usually good food.

bought a portion of singapore noodles. receive a tub half full only. they stated they changed their tub size but the amount is ridiculously less than usual... could not even share with the boys as I usually do! avoid

Not great to be honest. I love the salt and spicy chips and have been getting the chips out of here for many years so thought why not give a main meal a go, totally wish I’d not now as it was horrible. The satay sauce was tasteless and bland with a hint of peanut which was not pleasant. The noodles were stuck together with this metal taste running through them and to top it off the salt and chilli chicken was greasy and soft not nice at all. Won’t be back and certainly won’t be recommending.

I have been using Rice delight for a good few years now, never had a bad meal yet. Everything I have ordered has always been an amazing taste sensation, 10/10 for the chicken in peking sauce tonight. Less than 15 minutes from order to my door every time. Best food in town

Visit all the time. Food is good. Only negative is curries only seems to have curry sauce with onions, would like to see other veg in there.

I do not rate this place at all! Ordered mini spring rolls and they come on a bed of lettuce, however the lettuce was brown and clearly off! Why bother putting that in the container!

Good choice especially Bean Curd, which is a favourite. Was reasonably priced and took exactly as long as they said it would. We use Rice Delight often and will do again.

Fab Chinese, best Chinese take away in town. Fast delivery service. Food always yummy. Good fast service.

Was really looking forward to my take away of crispy shredded chicken in satay sauce tonight. I ordered at the counter and had barely sat down and my meal was ready. I live just 3 mins away so got home and served it up. As i was eating it i came across more than one piece of the chicken that was stone cold and i mean stone cold. What a shame as it looked so nice. After that it puts you off and into the bucket it went. I would rather wait for 5/10 mins to ensure i was getting food that was hot and edible.

We have been having a takeaway from here every month for 6 years. Never a bad meal. We always have beef and black bean and chicken in a light batter with chilli sauce. Delivery time fantastic, although order early at Christmas, 1 hour 40 mins......ready...

Been getting take away from this place for over 2 years now. Love it. Never ever had a bad meal from it. The staff are so friendly. Lovely clean waiting area. Quick service too.

Very tasty meal but only stay about 100 yards from shop so when I got to house put meal on plate it was just warm if I wasn’t hungry I would have took it back . This is the worse I have had out of takeaway

Decent Chinese takeaway with good service

1st time visiting this wee gem of a takeaway. Stayed simple with a special fried rice.. delicious! Perfect amount of food with the right balance of ingredients. And a fortune cookie from the polite cheerful staff. Result!!

We have takeaway from rice delight regularly and for the last few times it has been rubbish. Tonight it was very late, cold and not fresh. Waste of money. Used to be really good but now utter crap

Thought we would try this Chinese, got to say won't be back. Prawn curry was totally tasteless chicken sweet and sour just terrible soft noodles must have been microwaved so dry and burnt on the edges. First time ever giving our Chinese to the dog.....

Just had the most appalling takeaway from here tonight. We have used this takeaway a few times and given it the benefit of the doubt, but I will never use it again. Three dishes and not one of us finished it or enjoyed it. Waste of time and money.

Nice friendly service but sadly my meal was pretty poor. Very runny sweet and sour sauce and about three slices of onion mixed in. Was an impulse as I was passing when hungry but not for me.

Phoned order and was told it would be 1hr. Waited 1hr and 45minutes. If you are that busy let me know when placing the order and I could order from another Chinese.

Has been our favourite carry out for years with fresh cooked food every time but our last meal, although delicious in flavour, was ruined by the poor quality chicken...it was as though it had been boiled first and then dropped into the flavoursome sauce at...

Absolutely dreadful service waited 2 hours for our takeaway phoned a handful of times and were lied too that our food was on its way. Ended up making the kids beans on toast whilst we waited. After 2 hours food arrived cold and the sauces gloopy like they'd been sitting for a while, called the shop asked them to collect our food and refund us the money. They said no problem....it never happened and Rice Delight blocked both our numbers so couldn't get through. Terrible food and truly awful customer service. Won't be back.

Great food, very popular chinese.

What can I say.........The food is AMAZING!!! As you open the container the food is a feast to the eyes with mouth watering flavours and multi layered aromas. Try the Kung Po Chicken or the Mixed Meat Schezuan!!! Pineapple Fritters........mmm!!! Our favourites......You won't be disappointed...

Tried this chinese before and wasnt fussed. Thought id try it again.... bad idea. The food is so bland worst chinese ive ate in a while. Will not return.

Have ordered a few times from Rice Delight and have been happy with the meal and delivery time each time.

Chicken satay was so pink inside it was raw, we all woke up at 3am with strong stabbing pains in our stomachs I will leave the rest to you imagination. Poison delight ????first time order and never again.
