My favourite Chineese in kirkcaldy. I've been going almost 20 years(Lucky Star) and the owners and name has changed about 5 times during this period. When the owners change I try every chineese in a 5 mile radius and always end up coming back. Always friendly, always 10 to 15 minute pick up time & always consistantly good.

The chef needs to learn how to cook a thai curry(or take it off the menu). These meals were absolutely disgusting. Vile, is how my partner described his. All we could taste was chilli and salt, LOTS of salt!!! Never had a worse thai curry ever, and we have eaten lots!! They also charge for a bag, delivery AND a service charge!! I won't be ordering again. Fast food should also be good food and this was awful!! 90% went in the bin!!! Now away to make a sandwich!!

Order arrived 25 minutes late. I specifically asked if crackers were included, told definitely yes. No crackers came with the late delivered meal. Food was ok, not really hot enough.

Ordered delivered by phone as they are not on food hub or just eat. Driver was not going to come to door as my shitzu was barking. Don't know how he will cope with rottweiler or alsation. Definitely won't use again since you owners taken over. Never problem before

Waited for an hour and a half and nothing got delivered. When we phoned to say they just said "no, we did deliver it". Liars, thieves and time wasters Won't be using this ever again, shame really because it used to be good

Quick delivery. Food was warm and tasty. Two issues. Pork dumplings seemed a bit too pink and also I ordered “mixed vegetables” but received noodles.

First time i have placed an order for a meal. Was delivered on time by a very pleasant driver. Meal was piping hot and tasty. Would definately order again. Arrival time was on time

This place used to be outstanding, but it got bought over and they have taken tofu and mock meats off the menu, taking it from being the best Chinese ever with so many non meat options, to a standard take away selling the same things as everyone else, where the non meat options are just 'vegetable.... we won't be back.

Don't do live chat as you get no where tried to ask questions to a woman called Amanda and the reply were rude and ignorant. Everyone i asked a question got told sorry don't understand or sorry what was that 😡😡

Absolutely gorgeous, and as a chef with 10+ years experience I have to admit I'm extremely picky when it comes to good food. But this place just blew me away, packed full of flavour, and nicely spiced, excellent selection on the menu. And portion size is fantastic, will definitely be ordering again

Awful food almost inedible will never be back would leave zero stars if I could.

Decent enough food cash only which I find strange in the present climate or is it so there is no paper trail to how much they make?

We grabbed takeaway here while on holidays. It was ready for collection in less than 20 mins. Everything was hot and fresh. Really tasty. And plenty of it.

I love this Chinese takeaway as I called asking for some thing that not on the menu and the very nice Pearson on the phone made me what I wanted thank you so much I loved my Supper the night I Highly recommend This To anyone As they are willing to help you no matter what ...... Think it must of been taken over in recent months as this was the go to Chinese but has slipped very badly. The spring rolls are funny tho

I’m a lorry driver parked at flour mill quarter mile along the road, Waited 2 hrs, second phone call, then driver couldn’t find me Good never arrived

Over 3 hrs deliver despite them changing times twice and couldn't even get through on call again to speak to them.

Placed an order for delivery and was a no show. Had to contact Just Eat to cancel my order as they werent answering their phones and their voicemail was full. Very poor service! Was 3 hours after i ordered that i finally got Just Eat to cancel my order.

Service slow if you phone in though food was great when we eventually got it.

We have had food from here about 4 or 5 times before tonight and it has been delicious however the food has been bought on a week night. We got one tonight Saturday 25th January 2020 and it was not good, the food was very salty and not very tasty, the prawn Crackers were extremely stale we are so disappointed, the food was so different that the only conclusion we can come up with is that either the have a different Chef on weekdays or they think everyone who orders on a weekend are so drunk they don't care what there food tastes like

Delivery was hour and a half late

2.5 hours wait. Unacceptable. Called 3 times told it will be 10 or 20 mins each time. I will never use again pathetic customer servive. Food was average.

Delicious takeaway meal tonight...our 1st visit. Food was tasty, hot and plentiful. Would definitely recommend and return to order again.

Sunlight used to be lucky star- super fast delivery and fresh and tasty food. Whoever has bought lucky star and turned it into sunlight do not know Chinese food- yuck- barf- nasty curry sauces used through main meals and food is not nice at all. Avoid and go elsewhere it's not the same place at all.

Beef curry was disgusting chips were reheats, never order again

Delicious, it's very rare I have any sort of takeaway but decided the alluring smell as I passed today was too much. It was reasonably priced but most of all extremely tasty. I had roast duck in garlic sauce and egg fried rice. Will definitely go again.

Popped in for a carry out for the first time at this takeaway and will be back. Wide varied menu at good prices. Good sized helpings and very good quick service. No complaints

Food is great and the portion sizes are massive.

ordered on-line to collect, got order home to find out part of meal was missing & other food not cooked as requested, waited 1 hour for meal to be delivered to house to rectify their mistakes took everything back to shop which is a 5 minute drive from house very poor service

Onion in curry far to big even ask for them to cut small. Must have for got between placing order and going to the kitchen. But was ok

Staff are very nice, polite and friendly, never have to wait too long for food which is delicious , definitely worth a visit . Even though it's a Chinese, they're chips are lovely too, nice and crispy!

I've been coming here for about four years and never had a bad takeaway. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are on par with almost every other Chinese I've been to.

Located at end of Kirkcaldy High Street it is within easy reach. Food in itself is good and service is very prompt. Had chicken wonton and got ten for £3.50. Only problem with these takeaways is when staff tried to force a bag on me. Something I never asked for or had a use for. Other than that all is good with good food and a full moon at the coast.
