Stumbled across this gem whilst looking for somewhere to get a breakfast pre-9am which was difficult in Cardigan. This is a modern building embedded into the old castle site. Nice views of the tidal river from the panoramic windows. The cooked breakfast was a knockout and was served by a very friendly and welcoming young lady. Great breakfast , great service, smart surroundings. I will be back.

We had a fab meal at the Ship, the food and team were both brilliant & if you like a burger - than you HAVE to try something from the little Mo’s menu. I didn’t get the name of the landlord, but he was super friendly and a proper publican. We’d head back in a heartbeat.

This was not what we were expecting having read the reviews. Very limited menu with average at best food. Service was willing but appeared to be in training and the bar staff didn't know what a Wine Spritzer was. Has the ownership changed recently?

A great place to see old and new bands from all languages. Great nights to be had here.

9 of us for dinner. Just as well we had booked as the place was rammed! No surprises why! We had a fantastic meal. I think we had the best waitress I've ever experienced and the landlord and his wife/partner put in a good shift as well and obviously the chefs. What amazed me most was I could see into the kitchen and there only appeared to be 2 people in there and I didn't hear a raised word all the time I was there! Anyway top marks Hall Inn, we all loved the experience. My wife and I live in York and we will be definately coming back when we next visit.

Fantastic afternoon tea to celebrate our collective 60th birthdays. Visited here as a party of 3 this afternoon. Two GF diners and a no dietary requirement diner. Amazing sandwiches, scones and delicate sweet cakes. Buckets of tea. Lovely atmosphere- felt like an occasion!

What a super find! We were on holiday in the area, and wandering around the town of Welshpool, came across Coco. The welcome given to the four of us was really warm, and the owner coudn't have been more happy to help us make our drink and meal choices, and also recommend places to visit on our holiday. Whilst we enjoyed our meal it was so good to hear her engaging with regular customers and visitors alike, ensuring everyone's visit was a great experience. Such a happy and friendly cafe and a million miles away from the experience in a 'big chain' coffee shop.

The Globe hosted a charity event for #bemorefrank (09.11.24) and were the most amazing hosts and venue. Mary, lead the organisation and was open to all of our ideas and accommodating to everything we wanted to achieve that evening. All the staff worked so hard on the night with the vast numbers that came through the door and made the event run as smoothly as can be. Having two floors really allows flexibility plus the outside area (weather allowing) created the best setting for our charity event. Five stars to The Globe!!.

We decided to visit here for food as we were passing which was the first time since the new owners have taken over and were happy to find it is as good as it has always been. Great food, reasonably priced, friendly welcome and service plus lots of options to drink what’s there not to like! If you are in the area definitely visit!

If you like a nice beef steak then look no further! The chef buys his meat from a small Swansea butcher and it’s both great quality and well cooked at an amazingly low price! It’s a pub as well as a restaurant so whether you are looking to eat or just have a beer, it’s great! The only downside is that Doombar is the only ale they keep, you would expect a local welsh beer.
