The best restaurants serving British food in South Wales

Staying in the hotel we experienced breakfasts, tea & dinners & enjoyed all our meals. All the meals were plentiful, well cooked & well presented.

We were served by a very polite, helpful young lady named Abbie. She was so well spoken and was extremely helpful to us by showing us where the nearest toilets were and that we had everything we had ordered.

Sunday lunch was dire , one of us pointed out an earwig resting near the pork joint . That was not the problem the veg looked soggy so I thought the parsnip looked brown the Yorkshire was like cardboard but worst of all was the gravy really nasty dinner and left it all . Inedible No comments from the waitress £23.50 at least the starter was edible . This is the last time I eat at the parkway never again .

My family has usually had good experiences when visiting this cafe, until today… Employees appear to be miserable, they were rude & I get the impression that they don’t want to be there. Also, I have never had a milkshake that is served warm until now.

Esto fue como un viaje por mi carril de la memoria para nosotros, ya que hace años solíamos comer en Azafrán bastante. Fue bueno estar de vuelta y fue bueno ver que la calidad de la comida no había cambiado. Tuvimos un desayuno completo y un desayuno vegetariano (en la foto). Nada era demasiado problema. Pudimos intercambiar un artículo o 2. La comida llegó caliente y no tuvimos que esperar demasiado. Azafrán es ideal si te apetece una comida antes de un gran evento en Cardiff. Definitivamente volveremos.

Este lugar solía ser un gran lugar para tomar bebidas y comida! Solía tener un ambiente muy agradable! ¿Qué ha pasado? Ahora sirve comida terrible, toda la zona está sucia y el personal no es acogedor. No volverá. ¡Qué pena! Solía tener un gran ambiente de moda, ahora no.

Excellent pub with large function room, bar area, darts and pool. Great playground for children.. Good jukebox. Fab staff and excellent choice of drinks and food

Eaten there numerous times as a couple and with friends, very good value for money. Staff helpful and good pub food - fish and chips amazing.

Came here for a late lunch at the weekend, after it was recommended to us while holidaying in the area. It didn’t disappoint!!! The food was amazing, hands down the best meal of our holiday. Service also good, and dogs welcomed too. The only feedback I’d give to the restaurant is that we were sat by a door that led out to a garden; people would take drinks out and the door didn’t close properly so we had to keep getting up to close it! Hopefully rectified in the upcoming refurb. Otherwise perfect and would recommend without a doubt!

Tina I was one of your biggest customers back in the Mona Lisa days. I need to know the young Italian boy name that worked there? As for your food up the globe cod and chips was fantastic but my 3 year old granddaughter would have wanted more chips. Your potions are extremely small but again quality top notch

We came for a Sunday lunch they were off ish about giving extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings for myself as I don’t eat veg my father was choking to the point I had to get up and try to dislodge the food no taste to the food and the veg was hard staff didn’t even ask if everything was ok when my dad was choking also the food and staff was awful will never go here again

Google and signs on the outside said "Open 7 days a week" but it was closed mid afternoon on a Sunday. Wouldn't have set out walking if we'd known it would be closed

Lovely dinner loads in the trays and fab value for money, Beef fell apart was that nice, lovely friendly staff

Esta tarde me localizar Bailey's Carvery, y yo no me decepcionó. Espaciosas, tranquilas. He disfrutado de una gran variedad de carnes tallados con verduras, salsa y sal y una ración satisfechos. Me bebimos limonada con hielo a través de una pajita plástico y yo tuvimos opción para rellenar vidrio si es necesario y disfruté con otra recarga de limonada. Excelente relación calidad-precio, servicio y despliegue.
