Great coffee, clean, friendly staff. Nice little spot and under travelled. Hopefully more people will give it a chance!

Mr Coffi - Fairwater! This place has gone to the dogs! Used to be a lovely cafe - staff were friendly with a good service. Now the people running this place don't have a clue what they are doing. First cuppa of the day took 35 minutes to be served - second cuppa plus breakfast took the same time. On both occasions I had to ask where my order was and both times they had forgotten about the drinks/food!! They have no system at all here. A waitress carries plates of food around every table and asks 'is this yours?' - until she finds the correct table. Waiting for the coffee's to be served I noted that there were three behind the counter doing nothing and one drinking coffee herself!

This was my second visit. I had been pleased by my first one a few weeks earlier and decided to return and treat my friend to a meal. Unfortunately this visit wasn’t as good. They were very slow and got our order wrong. I believe they gave our meals to another table. The staff member who delivered the food to the table said the plate was hot. When I went to turn my plate in order to start eating, I discovered it was actually cold. Unfortunately the food was also cold to the point that some item’s like the plum tomatoes, actually had a refrigerated feel to their centre. The only thing hot on the plate was the sausages, everything else was at room temperature. The coffee was good. Unfortunately that arrived a LONG time before our meal did. At one point I actually went up to the counter to see if they were even cooking it, or had forgotten us. The staff need to make sure food is served at a correct safe temperature, if they are microwaving pre cooked items. Especially with pork or chicken. I doubt I will be returning which is sad, as I would have given my first visit 5* (Different staff on both days)

Written a review before as I visit Mr Coffi in Fairwater often but lately I've been ordering the soup on offer at lunch time. OMG - for £4 a bowl of pea and ham or leek and potato soup is out of this world. Honestly - I can't fault it. Grat addition to the menu - compliments to the chef.

I visit Mr Coffi every week. Always a lovely welcome here from the staff. Can only comment on coffee/tea/cakes/bacon sarnies and cooked breakfast. Never disappointed here. Thats why I return week in week out.

Has gone downhill since change of managment Menu very sparse No cooked food- use to make chips and salads Now only over priced cold food. Baguettes £6.50 Very slow service. Over 30 mins to make a sandwich Manager very rude The young waitress very polite snd apologetic Will not be returning

A good place to meet up with friends for coffee and a cake, or a light lunch. The staff are friendly and efficient - and the cakes . . .yum! Lots of seating inside and outside. 5 Stars!

Nice breakfast roll and latte. Shame the 2 young girls working there had the music blaring so loud my wife and I couldn't hear each other speak. At 10am too.

Came here often before I was vegan with my children and loved it, I’m so happy there’s now vegan options available. Hopefully in future there will be vegan cakes too!!

Popped in for a quick lunch. Food my too slow. Had a jacket potato - fresh ingredients, friendly staff, clean place.

The coffee shop can be quite busy, but the service is also quite slow; place your order and pay at the till, take a seat and they bring the coffee order to you... Only one coffee table location has access to a 13amp socket, so taking a laptop to do work obviously isn't encouraged! Friendly staff. The floor was particularly grubby and needed to be thoroughly cleaning, it certainly was that day's crumb and food bits

We visit Mr Coffi regularly, the team are always so friendly and welcoming. We tried the new festive menu after being treated to a sample of the turkey baguette outside. A big thumbs up for the food. Really tasty. Served with a little jug of gravy which was a bonus and having a Christmas latte drink with it made it really festive. Cheers guys🤶

Went to Mr coffee today for Halloween with my boy and my family really friendly staff excellent service highly recommended children had fun as well 👻👻👻

Nice décor, right next to the road to the National History Museum at St Fagans so can easily be visited on the way to or from a visit there. Very good service, hazelnut and butterscotch cake was a treat! Well worth a visit.

Been to mr coffi quiet a few times went today had a bacon sandwich there was 2 bits of bacon in sandwich no salad as normally there is £ charged £3.50 for it won’t b goin back there again

Wonderful staff and food I really enjoy there cappuccino I take my grandaughter there they all know her it's her favourite place to go she loves the kids meals would highly recommend

Mr Coffi Ely is a lovely place to catch up with friends & get a bite to eat! The staff are wonderful, very polite! Super star red head we all called her! My panini was to die for, place was lovely an clean! Very happy customer! Definitely will be back!

Just been in Mr coffi for lunch. Had an omelette and salad it was bloody gorgeous highly recommended. Lovely coffee friendly staff.

Took my little ones there today for the kids club and they loved it, amazing service off the girls that was working they even had books and colouring for my kids to enjoy which is great!

I live local to Mr Coffi so visit on a regular basis Nice to pop in for a cup of coffee after doing some shopping The shop has a really nice atmosphere and always lovely and clean coffee and cakes really nice with plenty of selection to choose from. Also had hot food which was also very nice and plenty to choose from. Staff very friendly and helpful especially ceri who is always smiling she is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. We have had coffees here on 2 or 3 visits in the last 6months and also visited the Fairwater branch too. Friendly staff (really warm etc)and decent coffees and cakes and tea cakes etc.Worth a visit..decent prices too!!

I've only just seen the poor reviews given to Mr Coffi. I went here today for breakfast and can honestly say it was great. The coffee was perfect as well as the toast served with the breakfast. Disappointed they did not do poached eggs but the small breakfast I had was delicious. My husband has the larger breakfast which included black pudding. Staff friendly and helpful so well may it continue.

For a few times now I've come to mr coffi ely and they have no poradge for the children no fish fingers and no breakfast. Also when I request no butter due to it making me ill 3 times in the same visit they have put butter on bacon roll. Please make the staff sit their dietary requirement course

Don't bother we went today. My 2 mates waited nearly an hr & it didn't look like pic they'd seen. Not even any onion rings on it like pic showed Chips not cooked & just chucked on the plate not in the pot like in the pic I'd seen. I had a cold baguette which took half hr to come so by the time my 2 friends meals came I'd finished. My other friend waited another 10mins after the 2 burgers came & asked for a refund. When getting the refund she asked if it had been started & they said no.

Of the "set menu" breakfast, the drinks were quite good. Service was prompt. The food was awful and the ingredients appeared to be of the cheapest quality. Not recommended.

When this cafe opened up as the Bunker I hailed it as a great addition to Fairwater Green. So good to have a watering hole with good produce and delightful staff.

the two ladies were very friendly and polite and we had the full breakfast which was lovely and came with coffee or tea which was a nice surprise , will definitely bee returning soon

Came here for breakfast. Nice and clean inside, had good coffee here before so thought we'd come for breakfast. Sorry to say it was not very impressive. Can tell the food wasn't very good value. Paper thin toast like cardboard, microwaved poached egg, mushrooms tasted tinned - couldn't bring myself to eat them. Shame really as it's a nice little cafe. Won't be returning for food anytime soon, something's you shouldn't scrape by on. Full Welsh Breakfasts are one of them.

Whilst the food and drinks (when they eventually arrived) were nice, the service was incredibly slow and inefficient. We were a party of 6 and had ordered various drinks, toasties and cakes, each arriving 1 by 1 several minutes apart so 1 person had finished his drink before another person's even arrived.

Call in quite regularly now, the vanilla lattes are banging☕️the hot chocolate with all the trimmings is a massive hit with the whole family and a cracking babychino for the little un.
